  • Great choice for a big family getaway

"We booked the cabin last minute for a big family vacation. We stayed in the Black Hills for 4 days. The immediate location was gorgeous, the cabin was very nice, just what we were looking for and more. Nicely equipped for big family meals and relaxation. The kids enjoyed the spacious floor plan, the pool table and the bunkbeds on the upper level. The hot tub was clean. We would definitely return again! Great communication setting up booking and getting instructions on a last-minute booking. Thanks Rick!"

  • Excellent

"Rental was very clean in a lovely location. We had a wonderful time and the cabin was well prepared for our stay. Everything worked - no glitches! We felt it was a bargain and delighted that we did not stay in a hotel or motel in town. This was a far superior experience to "motel life". Would rent it again on our next trip to Terry Peak."

  • Nice place, functional, affordable, and in the mountains

"We enjoyed our week stay at the Pine Cone Cabin. We had 3 generations staying together, accommodating 80 year old grandparents, and 8 year old twins. We have relatives in the Sturgis area so it was easy to visit them and also do the tourist stuff near Custer State Park. The week we visited was very hot, Rapid City was 95 degrees, but we stayed cool in the 6500 ft. elevation. My only complaints are running out of toilet paper on the last day (uncool), a very slow coffee pot, and some traffic noise from the road in front of the cabin. It's private enough, but it is not secluded, its in a resort neighborhood. It was not excessive or annoying but just know that cars and ATV do travel on the road. Overall it is a very nice place, functional and affordable, and located high in the mountains. We enjoyed our time."
