  • Great location, very clean!

"We loved our week! Very beautiful setting. A doe and her 2 fawns grazed on the back slope while we enjoyed after dinner drinks on the covered deck. The new Weber grill worked great! The house was very clean and made our stay fun and easy. Thank you! Gary"

  • Excellent Property

"We stayed for 2 nights with a group of 10. The house was perfect! Close to the ski resort and all the amenities that we needed. Clean and well stocked."

  • Amazing Lodge!

"I don't have anything negative to say about this property. It is beautiful and well maintained. Our kids didn't want to leave, the just wanted to stay and play. I only have a few suggestions. 1) put the house number by the road so people can find it in the dark 2) get light timers or solar powered lights for the front porch, coming back in the dark, again, difficult 3) the mattress in master bedroom is really bad, this was the last stop of a 2 week vacation and the bed messed up my back 4) for folks that aren't familiar with the terrain or the area, be a bit more clear with the location GPS wants to take you to Whitetail Drive - NOT the same place"

  • Nice place, functional, affordable, and in the mountains

"We enjoyed our week stay at the Pine Cone Cabin. We had 3 generations staying together, accommodating 80 year old grandparents, and 8 year old twins. We have relatives in the Sturgis area so it was easy to visit them and also do the tourist stuff near Custer State Park. The week we visited was very hot, Rapid City was 95 degrees, but we stayed cool in the 6500 ft. elevation. My only complaints are running out of toilet paper on the last day (uncool), a very slow coffee pot, and some traffic noise from the road in front of the cabin. It's private enough, but it is not secluded, its in a resort neighborhood. It was not excessive or annoying but just know that cars and ATV do travel on the road. Overall it is a very nice place, functional and affordable, and located high in the mountains. We enjoyed our time."
