"I am in tons of houses and am rarely impressed. However, this house impressed me. The house is very large, but doesn't feel overly huge. You can see the outside from everywhere. We had a perfect amount of bedrooms and bathrooms and the kids had their own space to play and watch a movie. Loved the extras like nightlights in the rooms. Loved the large kitchen and everyone having a spot to sit when we ate. Loved being in the middle of nowhere - but close to everything. We will definitely stay here again if we plan a trip. A couple of things - we would have loved to have an extra roll of paper towels - and maybe a few paper plates for the morning we left. Also - we could have easily started more laundry (towels and sheets) if we would have had more detergent. We would definitely (and already have) refer this place to other people. Thanks for letting us stay in your home."

  • Great choice for a big family getaway

"We booked the cabin last minute for a big family vacation. We stayed in the Black Hills for 4 days. The immediate location was gorgeous, the cabin was very nice, just what we were looking for and more. Nicely equipped for big family meals and relaxation. The kids enjoyed the spacious floor plan, the pool table and the bunkbeds on the upper level. The hot tub was clean. We would definitely return again! Great communication setting up booking and getting instructions on a last-minute booking. Thanks Rick!"

  • Absolutely wonderful vacation spot!

"I rented this property for an extended family reunion for 12 adults and 4 kids. . . we had a wonderful time with Aspen Ridge Green as our home base in the Black Hills. The house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of areas for people to gather in large groups, as well as many small private areas for some quiet time. We really enjoyed the unexpected fun of the foosball table and the hot tub at night; we also took advantage of the large wrap-around deck. The enormous kitchen and outdoor grill made preparing meals for such a large group pretty easy. . . also great to have two fridges at our disposal. The property was further away from some of the tourist activities that we planned on, but the quiet, privacy, and beauty of the location/house more than made up for this in our opinion. Our only issues with the house were very minor (a few lightbulbs that needed replacing, the lack of tablespoons and small juice glasses. . . really, who can complain about that?). We would point out that internet access was sketchy at times; some people might find this is a bigger issue than we did and at one point someone from our party did a load of laundry, only to have it come out stained with the iron that is in the water there. . .We left a note on the washing machine for future visitors about this, but imagine that the problem probably stems from the fact that few people use the machines. Otherwise, we can only highly recommend this house to anyone with a large group of people to house and feed. And, finally, our contact person, Anne, was SO HELPFUL from beginning to end during the entire process: prompt, understanding, and kind. We really appreciated being able to talk/email with her and getting quick answers to our questions. All in all, a great time in a beautiful house in a beautiful location. We all kept thinking what a great place it would also be in the winter time, with the ski resort so close at hand. Thanks for a fabulous time!"

  • Best place to stay Black Hills

"Close to everything but away from it all. We stayed 4 Weeks in the fall and spent Thanksgiving there. What an amazing time of year in the Black Hills! You won't be dissapointed if you stay here. Wonderful hosts who know the area. Heard they aquored a Dude Ranch. If it's half as good, amazing!"
