  • Beautiful cabin nestled in Spearfish Canyon!

"We stayed at Skye Lodge with our nine year old son and had the best time! Greg was such a gracious and helpful host and his property was beautifully maintained. He gave us great tips for skiing and snowshoeing ideas and we loved having the Skye lodge to come back to each night. Our favorite part of each day though was watching the sun come up and seeing the breathtaking views! We can't wait to stay here again!"

  • Clean, cozy property

"We enjoyed our time in this open, clean property with really great views. It was close to the ski resort and in a quiet area. The owners were very responsive."

  • We just left, and already miss it!

"Mountain Crest is appropriately named, perched on the top of a beautifully wooded mountain, just outside Deadwood. The cabin feels solid and cozy, we marveled at how well made and well cared for it was. Our kids (7 and 9) thought it was pretty cool to sleep in the loft, and my 9 year old daughter exclaimed, "This place is cool, Mom! You did good!" We feel lucky to have stumbled across this gem, and spent a carefree week exploring the beauty of the black hills and always happy to return to the comforts if this beautiful cabin. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of hot water, towels, washing machine, blankets and pillows... it felt like home. Thank you, Tom, for sharing it with us! The Bulls"

  • Nice place, functional, affordable, and in the mountains

"We enjoyed our week stay at the Pine Cone Cabin. We had 3 generations staying together, accommodating 80 year old grandparents, and 8 year old twins. We have relatives in the Sturgis area so it was easy to visit them and also do the tourist stuff near Custer State Park. The week we visited was very hot, Rapid City was 95 degrees, but we stayed cool in the 6500 ft. elevation. My only complaints are running out of toilet paper on the last day (uncool), a very slow coffee pot, and some traffic noise from the road in front of the cabin. It's private enough, but it is not secluded, its in a resort neighborhood. It was not excessive or annoying but just know that cars and ATV do travel on the road. Overall it is a very nice place, functional and affordable, and located high in the mountains. We enjoyed our time."
