  • Great cabin, great view, and great relaxation

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and well furnished, with a great view. It's very private and has everything you need for a very relaxing stay. There are plenty of places to visit and shop. The Blue Ridge railway was well worth it. Thanks for the great experience."

  • Family Retreat from Florida Heat

"Our family group of 7 adults and 4 kids visited to escape the July Florida heat. The kids loved exploring the river, which is not too deep to wade, but deep enough to float around in a tube. The adults enjoyed watching the plentiful deer, turkeys and one curious groundhog the kids named Toccoa Tom. You can pick up a 50 pound bag of corn at the local Ace Hardware store in Blue Ridge, and the wildlife will thank you by appearing in large numbers. Light bugs really put on a show at sunset each day. The ice machine was one of the most valuable amenities to keep our cooler full while on the go. The cabin is secluded enough that traffic is not an issue for pets/children, and a small store a mile or two away has most basic needs on hand. The hot tub overlooking the river was an unexpected plus as well. Don't plan too much busy time, as the cabin and surrounding property has plenty of activity to keep the whole family entertained."

  • Unforgettable weekend adventure!

"There is so much we could say about not only the property and cabin but of the owners as well! The description does no justice to the environment and the amenities that come included when you stay. They ensured the cabin was equipped with every daily necessity from toilet paper to dish soap. They already had wood cut and stacked nicely on the side of the cabin where it was a short trip to carry to the fire place. The hike to the lake was not far, I carried a 9 month old in a sling the entire time on all of our adventures through the woods. The view from the porch was unforgettable especially from in the swing hanging on it.. My daughters (8 & 6 years) wouldn't give me a chance in it. The loft was amazing and comfortable. The house was equipped with games and movies which helped this tired momma settle the kids at night. The owners are so responsive and kind. I felt like I was talking to a friend when we had to correspond. I could seriously go on for days... I cannot wait to return and I already told everyone about this gem in Ellijay!!!"

  • Relaxing and quiet!

"We enjoyed out stay at the Deer Field Cabin. Extremely quiet and far enough away to never be disturbed by traffic noises. Located about ten minutes away from downtown Blairsville and fifteen from Blue Ridge, it is a great in between. The highlights of our trip were visiting the mercer orchards and of course buying a plenty of apples and horseback riding at Tablerock Stables. We appreciated being able to rent from hardworking farm folks and not giving out cash to some business conglomerate."
