  • Great mountain vacation

"My family enjoyed our mountain getaway. The cabin was spacious and stocked for any need. We would highly recommend this cabin. If I have to list one negative it is that I had to rewash many of the dishes. We visited many local attractions and of course relaxed to enjoy the beautiful scenery."

  • Beautiful Home....great views!

"We just returned from a 1 week stay in Dandridge! The home was beautiful. The home was truly decorated to feel like a home which we so appreciated..the views were gorgeous of the lake! This house has everything you need. We kept our boats at Swann marina which I highly recommend for boaters. The Point told us they would have room for our boats but when we arrived on our first day they told us they were booked and responded "sorry nothing we can do." Go to the Swann they literally moved boats around to accommodate us! WONDERFUL people! Peacewood is only about 20 minutes drive from the marina! The screened in porch at Peacewood was wonderful, my only recommendation is to perhaps add a large dining table out there so that family's could eat outside and enjoy the view! Our only issue was that we were traveling with 4 kids under the age of 8. When you get out of the cars in the driveway there is a very dangerous drop off on one side. I'm wondering if maybe some sort of fence could be added there to prevent any catastrophic situation. This didn't cause any issues for us we just kept a very close eye on the kids and didn't let them play outside unattended. We would return again in a heartbeat!!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We all said we would love to come back in the fall to see the beautiful leaves turn!"

  • Moutain home

"Upon arrival the first thing we discovered was that the locked gate wasn't locked, in fact it was wide open and could not be closed. So just know you do not have to have any codes to enter the property. Walking into to the house our first thought was, this isn't what we were expecting. We didn't realize it would be so old. But in no time we began to fall in love with our surroundings. The property is beautiful, with winding trails around the property, multiple swings tucked in among the trees, stone path to the lake. The cabin was comfortably informal, inviting and cozy, Everywhere we looked there were items of interest to point out to others. Here are a few things we noticed about our stay that I would have wanted to know ahead of time. Everything squeaks, so for people with early risers and folks that like to sleep in, that could be a problem. The loft bedroom is small and has very low ceilings, fine for kids but the stairs up to the loft are unique but hard for smaller kids to maneuver. The lake is beautiful, we spent many hours there and we loved it. There isn't a boat at the property so we rented a boat for the day. A bonus we experienced was our "vacation dog". A lovely hound dog, Dixie, visited us daily and occasionally brought her sidekick Sadie. We feel in love with these dogs. They were good, sweet dogs and we missed them when we left. Pigeon Forge is about 20 minutes away and Gatlinburg about 50 minutes. We visited Gatlinburg for a day and enjoyed lunch at The Pancake Pantry. The best dinner we had was at Fat Tony's. So I hope this helps you decide if you want to rent this cabin or not. We would go back in a minute. P.S. Would have been nice to have a mixer available. Hot tub was wonderful!"

  • Fabulous facility for our scrapbook weekend!

"Such a fun time wit 18 girlfriends at this spacious yet homey lodge. We had plenty of space to spread out to work on our scrapbook albums in the large dining room as well as conveniently placed outlets for our electronic devices. Ample beds and fully-stocked kitchen were welcome. Outdoor spaces to enjoy the serene surroundings. Short drive to the Scrapbook Superstore in Sevierville. We're already planning our next weekend!"
