Lake front & Smokey Mtn views sleeps 17. Weddings and large family gatherings.
Located 125 yards from main street downtown, 1/2 mile to the area's grocery store, and a 1/4 mile from the marina and public boat ramp. This property is on the main channel. It's convenient yet private. The house is positioned on a hill that offers a panoramic view of Douglas Lake with the three highest peaks of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in the background, and a back yard that extends down to the lake. The back deck and patio are great areas for large family gatherings, weddings, and Corporate events. We have plenty of parking capacity. Just as Dandridge is a mix of old and new, we have tried to accomplish the same at Stone's View. Our goal was to keep the charm of this 1930's home with all the modern amenities to create a truly special place. There are three large gathering areas for entertaining, two kitchens, a 2,000 sq ft patio area, and a 300 sq ft deck off the living room area. The home offers seven bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 16 and 5 full bathrooms. The home has four master suite bedrooms with en-suite baths; one of the bedrooms has its own private deck and large soaking tub. For the chef, the kitchen is well equipped with new and convenient appliances and cookware. There is plenty of capacity with two ranges and two refrigerators. The best Stone's View has to offer is the inner peace and joy you'll experience seating on the deck or patio watching the birds catch their lunch, the occasional deer and turkey grazing, or maybe a glimpse of bald eagles that nest in the area. We hope you visit us and experience the unique qualities of the Great Smokey Mountains, Douglas Lake, and historic Dandridge at Stone's View.

The house was great, loved location to gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Dandridge had everything we needed and the people were very friendly. Will definitely make another trip in the future.
The house was perfect for our family reunion. Great view of the lake and close access to outdoor activities. Also close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Quiet neighborhood and small town feel made for a very relaxing week.
We absolutely loved our stay in Dandridge. The location was excellent, the house easily accommodated our group of 9 adults and 2 kids, and the views were breathtaking. We especially loved the huge dining room table that could actually seat everyone--we enjoyed meals and game nights together without feeling cramped!
Our families across 3 generations came to stay from Indiana, Ohio, South Carolina and North Carolina! We had a wonderful family vacation and enjoyed your beautiful well equipped home! Lots of memorable pics with beautiful lake and mountain views!
The home is beautiful and very spacious for a large group. We had 6 ladies who wanted their own space and it was perfect! There was plenty to do at the house if you didn't want to go into Gatlinburg.
11 of us came in for the Tennessee vs A&M football game. We had a great time on the back patio enjoying the weather and views. The house had plenty of room for us to spread out but also come together and hang out. We enjoyed the small town of Dandridge as well.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The neighborhood is nice and close to town! There was construction of new houses next door where it became noisy at times, but overall nice quiet neighborhood. The house was not far from all the attractions and the smoky mountains. Would have been nice if you were able to jump in from the lake from the house. The view of the lake was beautiful from the backyard. Overall it was a great stay!
The house was beautiful and the views are gorgeous. The property is walking distance to downtown Dandgridge, a beautiful historic town. It was fully equipped with all the essentials that you will need. We highly recommend the Dandridge Brewing Company for a delicious meal and live music.
13 family members stayed comfortably in this luxurious lake-side home. The three levels of the house gave us plenty of space and the two kitchens gave us all the cooking space we needed for our Thanksgiving getaway. We’re already looking forward to returning at some point. Highly recommend.

Wonderful House!!!!
This is a beautiful house - very clean and wonderfully decorated - with an amazing view of Lake Douglas and the Appalachian mountains beyond. The owners were lovely and very quick to respond to our questions. The large stone patio had a great outdoor fireplace and plenty of seating for our large group. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the extra downstairs refrigerator. Our group will be back. We would give this home10 stars if we could!!
The beds in this house are VERY comfortable, which is rare in a vacation rental! The kitchen is well stocked, and it is very handy to have an extra fridge and stove in the basement when cooking for a large crew. The outdoor spaces were great for gathering, particularly after dark. Potential renters do need to be aware that the lake access (particularly late in summer when the lake is low) is muddy and treacherous. I do not recommend trying to swim from this property. We rented a boat for a day in order to be able to swim without mud and rocks. The photo of the dock into the water on the listing is of a public dock away from the house.
We booked this home as our wedding venue, sight unseen. My partner and I, plus our guests, were coming from all around the country and this was the PERFECT location to get married. The mountain and lake views were ABSOLUTELY amazing. We have so many great pictures! This was the wedding of our dreams. It couldn't have been any more beautiful.
Kent's communication throughout the process was very timely, clear, and transparent. He answered all our questions and alleviated any concerns we had with booking the place without seeing it in person.
We had a very small issue during our stay with a toilet float valve and he was over within 5 minutes to fix it. Kent made it very clear that he was around if we needed anything but he gave us the space and didn't hover. The perfect VRBO host!
If you're looking for the perfect backyard wedding venue with amazing views, book it!
This was our first stay at Douglas Lake and it was Beautiful as far as the location and lake house we stayed in. I will say we had some disappointments with the cleanliness of the house and there is a lot of upgrades that need to be done. The stove and refrigerator was very dirty upon arrival I had to clean the refrigerator to even put groceries in it. It’s needs a new washer and dryer the dryer barely dries the clothes. The toilet downstairs rocks and has cardboard to keep it from rocking. The pool table has no pool sticks only ping pong balls and one pocket of the pool table is busted out And the corn hole game one board was broke. Our soap bottles was not me they was filled with water to look new. The upstairs shower barely worked you couldn’t even shower in it for the pressure being so low. And I am listing all this so people will know before they a good price plus the fees that VRBO charges especially cleaning fees and the house not even be clean. I do have to say that the host was very responsive when I had a complaint and very apologetic for my complaints and even gave me a hundred dollars for the inconvenience but it was still aggravating that we paid what we did for our stay and was disappointed with some things. We made the best of it and still had a good family get away that was much needed. If some things get upgraded and the cleaning improves I would stay again because the house itself and the view of the lake is beautiful

I sincerely apologize for your experience and your concerns about our property. This is the lowest rating we’ve received in our 13 years on VRBO. As I mentioned, one of our housekeepers was ill and the other was handling double the workload. The cleaning fell short of our usual standards, which is why I apologized and provided you with a refund for your efforts in addressing the issues. We’re taking steps to prevent this from happening again, and should you choose to stay with us in the future, we’re committed to providing you and all our guests with the quality experience you deserve.

Gorgeous view of Douglas Lake
Overall surfaces were clean but under beds and furniture not so much. Front door sticks and needs help to lock and unlock. Wasps in upper decking were a nuisance. As were the plugged tub drains. Kitchen was well stocked with all we needed, and rubber spatulas would be nice.
Tv’s did not work, said no signal. Missing remote for upstairs master cooling system. The outdoor Weber grill was filthy. Our family would enjoy a view of lake from the dining table.
We really enjoyed the lake by swimming, using jet skis and sailing. Lots of history in Dandridge to walk around and see. Tinsley Bible Drug was a fun soda fountain, get a shake!
I give this rating because we had a great time and only had some details that need attention.
Owner is friendly and responsive.
We might come back again.
The washing machine was great to have and it needs a good cleaning.

We wished we had heard the concerns during your stay; all TV's worked, but some are roku which require instruction for some guests; sorry for the annoying wasps; we have to be vigilant to keep them from nesting. This is one of our first ratings that has not been 5 stars. We have addressed the list of complaints for future guests.
My family and I stayed in this beautiful home for a week and it was perfect for us. The bedrooms are situated in a way that everyone has space.
The view of the lake and mountains were incredible.
The outside fireplace was perfect in the evening time to sit by and enjoy the views.
We will stay here again.
Our stay, checking in and out was very excellent. location was beautiful. Take a near by Pontoon ride-must have. The only negative is It’s an hr away from Gatlinburg. Overall nice place to stay.
This is a great spacious property for a large group and the view is spectacular! My family went up for the weekend for my daughter's college graduation from UT and we had plenty of room for everyone. My only negative was that the upstairs room didn't stay very cool and of course it was a record breaking day for the temperature when we arrived. We would definitely stay at this home again!
Beautiful property, spacious enjoyed by 8 adults and 6 kids with room for more. We used every part of the house. The kitchen is equipped we cooked daily. The views are spectacular. Check in was easy and our questions/needs answered quickly. We would def recommend and stay again.
We enjoyed our 4 day stay at the maples house. The house is pretty big and equipped with all the amenities. The host is great and is always a phone call away in case we had any questions. Overall, everyone in our family had fun at Dandridge.

About the host
Hosted by Kent Maples
Our family is from East Tennessee. We live just 20 minutes from Stone's View. We stay there often, and continually look for ways to upgrade and enhance our guest's stay.
Why they chose this property
Dandridge exemplifies small town USA; it has a proud, unique historic past and is protective of its heritage. My wife and I love to take walks; we're entertained by the cities nuances and in awe of the lakes natural beauty. We find it very convenient to have two marinas within 1.5 miles to rent various kinds of boats and accessories. The public boat ramp is less than a mile away for those who have their own water craft.
What makes this property unique
The view captured our interest in Stone's View. If it's having your morning coffee and seeing the sunrise or having an evening cocktail with a special someone watching the sunset, you'll be sure to create memorable moments taking in the view.
