  • Very beautiful and peaceful home

"Our group of 6 stayed for 3 nights (My husband, 2 teenage sons and my elderly parents and our small dog) and we had a wonderful time. The house is extremely comfortable and beautiful. The view from the living area, dining area and master bedroom is gorgeous. We were there between Christmas and New Year, but the weather was still comfortable (one day, it even got into to the low 70's). We really enjoyed the gas fire in the fireplace - loved being able to have a fire with one touch of a button! There is not much to do in the small town of Pottsboro, which was OK with us, as we just went to relax and be together as a family. We did go out to eat at Napoli's, which was phenomenal. We also ate at Huck's Catfish (about a 20 minute drive, but worth it). Other than that, we just sat around reading, watching football and talking. The house is very comfortable and relaxing. It was just what we wanted! Thank you, Robin, for your amazing hospitality!"

  • Beautiful, peaceful retreat

"I have only praise, and my family will definitely stay there again. We had a wonderful time. The guest cottages are in great shape, clean, and luxurious. I was a little confused by the multiple cottages when I looked at the website, as it wasn't immediately clear to me whether other families might be there at the same time. But although there are multiple cottages, they're really like one home separated into three units. The two bedrooms (each with lovely bathrooms) are in their own cottages separate from the living/cooking area (which also has a nice bathroom). All three were included in our rental, so the way the cottages are set up is private and convenient for those who want to sleep in after others awaken. The pond is right next to the cottages, and it is well-stocked with plenty of big fish. My oldest happily fished all weekend. The large yard next to the cottages was big enough for a family football game. The property is surrounded by trees and has walking trails to explore. The owners' home is far enough away that the cottages feel secluded and private. The owners were friendly and laid back, while clearly also being available to help if we needed anything. They gave us some suggestions on restaurants and took my younger two children out to feed the gorgeous horses, which my kiddos loved. My family is already planning a return visit, and we hope to make it a tradition."
