  • Perfect farmhouse.

"This place was absolutely perfect. Its a few minutes walk or bike ride to the creeper trail. The fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and cozy living room made this place feel like home. The game room was our favorite part. We made memories that will last a lifetime."

  • Perfect escape for hiking, fishing, or just kicking back.

"We stayed for 4 nights at Brown Trout Lodge the week after Memorial Day. The location and setting of the cabin couldn't have been more perfect. With in an hour's drive of some of the best hiking in the region allowed for great days on the trail, followed up with a couple of hours of sitting by the river with the dog at the end every evening. Cabin exactly as pictured, with a well appointed kitchen with dishwasher and a full-sized washer/dryer in the modern bathroom. We appreciated the A/C, but would have also loved some screens in the windows to be able to hear the river at night and enjoy the cool breeze. Communication with the owner was prompt, to the point, and very friendly -- I didn't need to reach him during our stay, but felt confident that if I had, he would have been just as responsive. Local services for groceries, etc. within 20 minutes. A very peaceful, restorative respite from the hectic day-to-day of Washington. We'll be back!"

  • Perfect Location!!!

"This was our 6th trip to Abingdon but our first time staying in this beautiful home. The open and airy floor plan is perfect for 2 couples. Restaurants, shopping, the Creeper Trail, Barter Theater, Wolf Hills Brewery and first class spa at The Martha are all within walking distance...we parked our car upon arrival and did not get back in until we left Abingdon on Sunday! The owner was quick to respond and so helpful with information regarding Abingdon. We will definitely be back for another relaxing stay at this beautiful house!"

  • Magic on the Creeper Trail!

"This immaculate, beautifully built cabin along the VA Creeper Trail was a perfect mountain vacation spot for our family of 4. Close to Damascus and Abingdon with Alvarado station right next door. So quiet and peaceful with sounds of the Holston River from the front porch. We really enjoyed our time there! Be aware there is little to no cell service (which was not a bad thing) but with no phone in the cabin there is no way to call out in the event of an emergency. A+ to the owners! Well done, and thanks for sharing!!!"
