  • Carriage house was a great place to stay

"We came down to see the NASCAR race in Bristol and this place was everything we wanted. Although the races didn't go as planned (rained out), it was nice coming back here to stay. Thanks Linda."

  • Nice property, had a great time.

"Big house, lots of space. We had four families in our group (19 people) and we always had plenty of space for separate activities. Morning coffee was great with the view from the kitchen table as we watched the snow move into the valley! It would be nice to visit in the summer with the nice pool and deck areas. Owners were very responsive to inquiries. The only area for impvorvement would be the basement heat, the boys were a little cool. Overall we were impressed and had a good time, would definitely recommend to others."

  • Very clean, comfortable and well equipped

"We enjoyed our little Christmas family vacation at the townhouse. Everything needed was supplied and then some. Then owners were very responsive making sure we had the information and everything we needed during our stay. The location is convenient to nearby attractions and Abingdon is a quaint little town with charming antique stores. We will definitely stay here again."

  • Relaxing, beautiful cottage with lovely garden

"My two daughters (11 and 13) stayed at Meadow Cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. The cottage is charming and so peaceful (I slept better than I have for years), and the garden/yard is beautiful. There are several areas to sit and read a book outside, have morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening - the porches on the front and back of the house as well as a fire pit and a table and chairs in the garden. Jim and Jennifer are the kindest people and we loved getting to know them - the pastries and coffee/tea/juices left for our arrival made us feel instantly welcome. We stayed during the Abingdon Arts festival and spent a couple of days wandering around there, we also (upon Jennifer's suggestion) biked the 18 mile Virginia Creeper trail which was so much fun! It's the easiest bike ride we have ever been on - a shuttle drives you to the top of the mountain and the entire ride is downhill with multiple places to stop and climb rocks or put your feet in the water. We also kayaked which the girls loved and the biggest hit was seeing Mamma Mia at the Barter theater. We plan on returning - Abingdon is a lovely little town and we will absolutely stay at one of Jennifer and Jim's properties again. They become like friends!"
