"Myself and two of my favorite girlfriends spent last weekend at Mike and Judy's beautiful cabin on Hartstene Island. Judy's attention to detail was outstanding! Their gardens are fabulous and the views of Pickering Passage are breathtaking. Mike and Judy are a fun couple who even tho' are "on site" they never intruded on our fun. The warm scones, fresh squeezed oj and homemade jam on Sunday morning were a wonderful treat .Rez the dog came to wish us good morning and then kept an eye on us in case we needed to pet him. This is a place we will return to over and over."

  • Best Studio in Tacoma's Theater District

"Laura made my first VRBO experience easy and wonderful. She was quick to respond about the rental and to any questions I had during my stay. She even had a bottle of wine, chocolates, and coffee for my arrival. I stayed in her studio for 3 months while I was doing a travel nurse assignment at Multicare-Tacoma General. It was within walking distance to the hospital and to all the great restaurants, breweries, theaters, and museums. The studio is spacious and beautifully decorated with art by her, her husband, or friends of theirs. It has an updated kitchen equipped with everything you need and a large bathroom with a shower and Jacuzzi tub. The balcony is spacious as well and has a very nice grill connected to a gas line. In the 3 months I stayed in Laura's studio, I only had to buy food at the grocery store. She has the place fully stocked with bathroom supplies (towels, shampoo/conditioner, body soap, lotion, hand soap, toilet paper, tissue paper) and kitchen supplies (dishwasher soap, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies). The studio is also pet friendly. I had my 4 year old Great Dane with me. There is a park very close by with lots of green space and dog poop bags. Laura also provides garage parking. Everything about this Theater District studio is perfect."

  • Darling Romantic Beachfront Getaway

"We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this property. The property is in a gorgeous neighborhood. The owner, Roberta was friendly and helpful. Her house is at the top of the stairs which lead down to the beach house. The house was spotless and had a lovely deck to sit and watch the sunsets with the water lapping at the shore beneath the deck when the tide was in. There were seals in the water swimming by and they were fun to watch. A recent storm had broken the ladder leading down to the water, so we were unfortunately not able to try the kayaks. There are two flights of narrow stairs leading down to the house, so I would not recommend it for anyone who can't negotiate stairs, but it was no problem for us. The property is one block from the Brown's Point Lighthouse where there is a nice park where you can get to the water. The beach is made of large pebbles, not sandy, so it was nice to have the paths there to walk on. We met the lady from the historical society who gave us a tour of the lighthouse-keepers cottage. It was very entertaining and she was very nice and welcoming. Gig Harbor was a short drive (20 minutes) where we spent a nice day riding the trolley, shopping and having lunch. We went to Point Defiance Park which was beautiful and had dinner at Anthony's there. Downtown Seattle was about a 40 min drive. There is a market and a neighborhood diner just around the corner. The Brown's Point Diner had good hamburgers and eggs Benedict for breakfast. We cooked a few breakfasts for ourselves. I would definitely recommend this property to a couple for a romantic getaway. There are two bedrooms, but the living room is small for more than two people. I would definitely go back again if we were to revisit the area."

  • Spectacular views!

"We had never been to the Seattle area and just happened upon Gig Harbor. It was definitely the right choice! What a sweet town filled with fun shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed breakfast at The Devoted Kiss down by the harbor, along with a concert and art street fair. Reading and eating on the deck was a treat. And, we made some delicious cobbler from the fresh blackberries in the yard. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Pat was extremely friendly and accommodating before and during our trip. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and wind down, the High Cottage is your place!"
