  • Just what we wanted and more!

"This was our first visit to this cottage home and we could not have been more satisfied. Our family, including six grandchildren found the home, beach and lake perfect for our vacation. The owner was helpful and friendly. We hope to return for years to come."

  • Best of both worlds.

"Enjoy quiet natural seclusion along the shore with the option of taking part in tubing, water skiing and jet skiing way out in the middle of the lake. Generous decks and second floor balconies provide ample seating and privacy to take in the secluded beauty of the eastern shore of Lake Irogami. The fragrant pine wooded sandy lot embraces a natural shoreline, too rare for lakefront properties, the provides excellent habitat for fish, frogs and birds. My grandchildren, enjoyed the sandy beach and ample wading depth water. My granddaughter spent hours collecting snail shells and lining them up along the dock. The placement of the house allows for early morning sun along the south deck and afternoon sun on the waterfront decks and balconies. The lake air cools the house down in the evening, the screen doors and windows so plentiful that you feel you are sleeping among the pines outdoors. There is little to no street traffic and sand hill cranes call from the wetland east of the house. The interior of the house is spacious and comfortable for family gatherings."

  • Hidden Gem!

"We very much enjoyed our 'winter' stay (65 degrees) at Blackberry Lodge. Owner was very responsive, as other guests mentioned. Went to see the stars...accomplished! Lake looks like it would be great to swim in during summer. Beautiful furniture! Spa was a nice bonus. All around, very serene!"

  • Don't Pass Up this Rental!

"Dear Travelers, Our group stayed at Caribou Bay for a small weekend in Nov. The temperatures were ideal, which led to a fabulous get a way for all of us. We came for just R&R, and with everything there is to offer from Mona's place, you also will experience a great time as did we. All of the rooms are accommodating, well supplied, and homey. The grounds are as inviting as a Norman Rockwell poster. There are trails to walk, ample spaces for outdoors for casual co-mingling, and she is pet friendly! We are a group of "foodies", and the kitchen served us well. It was the best weather for having a fire, indoors, and she supplies the wood. (Unheard of in most rentals!) There are bikes, outdoor games, wonderful chairs and chaises to lounge in, beautiful grounds to mellow about on. The bedrooms were spacious, and more blankets than a hotel could use! We were greeted by Mona, in person, and she walked us around the grounds and home. This was truly a nice surprise. She and her husband made us feel like family, with their attention to our comfort. Our group is re-booking with her another time next year, and we strongly suggest you consider her place for your stay away. It was Wonderful! E<J<G<MJ<B<R<M....."
