  • Exceeded expectations for a winter week-end

"This refurbished barn was exactly as advertised. Our group of ten adults enjoyed the huge fireplace, comfortable beds and large chef kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed, and we especially liked the long dining table that seated our entire group and the Wolf range. The giant refrigerators and freezers made food preparation very easy. There are two dishwashers, so clean-up was very easy. We unique decorations and terrific lighting made this a very memorable stay. There is plenty of room for a large group. Very close to the Ice Age Trail and Hartman's Creek State Park."

  • Great summer rental!

"My seven friends and I take a week long vacation each year and this was our rental for 2016. We had a wonderful time at this rental. The lake was mostly quiet with a few boats and watercraft at a time. We enjoyed kayaking(we brought our own, although one double kayak is on property along with a canoe and a paddle boat with very tricky steering). We also enjoyed the included sandy beach where we could just sit in the water and relax, chat, swim, or read. The upper deck and lower patio were also great places for gathering and relaxing. We walked nearly every day and had fun looking at all the different styles of homes on the lake. Wautoma offers several tasty restaurants--our favorites being The Moose Inn(we walked there), the Farm Market(lunch spot), Christiano's(pizza, pasta and sandwiches)and Silvercryst (the less expensive bar menu). We also took some day trips into Princeton, Oshkosh, Ripon and WI Dells. There are good wineries in the a Dells and Ripon. Princeton has great antiques, a couple of nice restaurants(Blue Moon) and shops. This is the first rental we've ever had that required us to bring our own sheets and pillows. We also recommend bringing your own tp, dish soap, trash bags, some food storage bags or Tupperware, towels and personal supplies. The owner was incredibly nice, very quick to respond to questions, and was also kind enough to supply some firewood, water, and frozen pizzas. The rental is perfect for families or groups of friends."

  • Fantastic views and perfect home to enjoy friends and family.

"We have stayed here in the past and the home is always comforting and a great place to get together around a fire with friends and family. The home was perfect for our group of 12. We will come back most likely with family each year. Our favorite meal to prepare was breakfast and the kitchen had everything we needed."

  • Peaceful place for family to gather.

"Our family just completed our THIRD vacation at the Brunette's beautiful cottage. It comfortably accommodated three grandparents, two parents, and three children ages seven, six, and four. The washer and dryer was very helpful with the activities of three children, and the central air conditioning was appreciated during the hot/humid August days and nights. Our son (children's father) is an avid fisherman and caught many perch everyday, which was exciting for him as well as the children. The sunsets are beautiful and were followed by campfires. The children loved feeding the ducks, and they developed a special relationship with one they named "Violet" who enjoyed the oats and peas the children fed her daily. The shallow water around the pier is ideal for the children's ages and swimming abilities, and they truly enjoyed much water play. The large kitchen was perfect for the many cooks in the kitchen and for family seating around the farmhouse-sized table. Most importantly, the lake is not busy or noisy like other lakes we have visited in the area: the cottage property and lake are truly peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the owners was prompt and courteous. We will definitely be returning! Casey from Milwaukee."
