  • Pictures do not do justice!!

"The pictures on this site do not give this lodge the justice it deserves! The lodge is gorgeous and spotless. For our annual reunion, we were looking for a lodge that would comfortably sleep our growing families. This was the perfect place for us. The staff is helpful and friendly which is an added bonus. Thank you for everything! I can't wait to come back next year!"

  • Perfect getaway!

"Birchwood Shores is a hidden gem and was the perfect winter wonderland for our Christmas Celebration! This cottage has an amazing cozy feel without giving up any comforts or amenities! There was ample space for a large family gathering--the dining room table out on the all-season porch was able to accommodate our holiday meal and was also the perfect spot for games and activities after! The living room is cozy and comfortable with plenty of seating for everyone, and the view out to the water is stunning! The large floor-to-ceiling doors/windows made us feel like we were right outside! The sleeping arrangements were perfect--the beds were comfortable without feeling cramped. There were small closets in each room for storage of our weekend luggage, which was nice to have out of the way in order to move around. The kitchen is small, but well-stocked with all of the items we needed to prepare a great Christmas Eve meal--the hosts thought of all of the amenities that might be needed to allow a family to enjoy home-cooked meals and stay well-fed! While our winter wonderland stay did not afford us the ability to truly enjoy this waterfront gem, we were so surprised to find they have two kayaks, a canoe, two stand-up paddleboards, and so much more to be enjoyed during the summer! We are definitely looking forward to booking once the warm weather rolls around so that we can take advantage of all of the water toys and the beautiful beachfront! The front yard space is great, and I definitely look forward to utilizing that space in the summer for games of cornhole, ladder golf, bocce ball, etc.! We also saw there was a fooseball table, arcade-style basketball shootout game, and a ping pong table stored in the large garage/shed--for my ever-competitive family, those will definitely make for some entertaining days and evenings at this hidden gem! I'm almost afraid to post this review, as I would love to keep this as my family's hidden getaway, but this place is so great it deserves a glowing review! We are so looking forward to booking this summer (and many future summers!) to fully enjoy all that Birchwood Shores has to offer!"

  • Great summer rental!

"My seven friends and I take a week long vacation each year and this was our rental for 2016. We had a wonderful time at this rental. The lake was mostly quiet with a few boats and watercraft at a time. We enjoyed kayaking(we brought our own, although one double kayak is on property along with a canoe and a paddle boat with very tricky steering). We also enjoyed the included sandy beach where we could just sit in the water and relax, chat, swim, or read. The upper deck and lower patio were also great places for gathering and relaxing. We walked nearly every day and had fun looking at all the different styles of homes on the lake. Wautoma offers several tasty restaurants--our favorites being The Moose Inn(we walked there), the Farm Market(lunch spot), Christiano's(pizza, pasta and sandwiches)and Silvercryst (the less expensive bar menu). We also took some day trips into Princeton, Oshkosh, Ripon and WI Dells. There are good wineries in the a Dells and Ripon. Princeton has great antiques, a couple of nice restaurants(Blue Moon) and shops. This is the first rental we've ever had that required us to bring our own sheets and pillows. We also recommend bringing your own tp, dish soap, trash bags, some food storage bags or Tupperware, towels and personal supplies. The owner was incredibly nice, very quick to respond to questions, and was also kind enough to supply some firewood, water, and frozen pizzas. The rental is perfect for families or groups of friends."

  • Best of both worlds.

"Enjoy quiet natural seclusion along the shore with the option of taking part in tubing, water skiing and jet skiing way out in the middle of the lake. Generous decks and second floor balconies provide ample seating and privacy to take in the secluded beauty of the eastern shore of Lake Irogami. The fragrant pine wooded sandy lot embraces a natural shoreline, too rare for lakefront properties, the provides excellent habitat for fish, frogs and birds. My grandchildren, enjoyed the sandy beach and ample wading depth water. My granddaughter spent hours collecting snail shells and lining them up along the dock. The placement of the house allows for early morning sun along the south deck and afternoon sun on the waterfront decks and balconies. The lake air cools the house down in the evening, the screen doors and windows so plentiful that you feel you are sleeping among the pines outdoors. There is little to no street traffic and sand hill cranes call from the wetland east of the house. The interior of the house is spacious and comfortable for family gatherings."
