  • The property was more than we expected. It was not a cabin but a family home with all the amenities

"The cabin (house) was very nice, comfortable and clean. It was just like being home. We enjoyed the bonfires, the pontoon trip to the Paul Bunyon festival. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there. Would definitely recommend to anyone else. Doris & Gene Regnier"

  • Fantastic spot for our family!

"Our experience with the GRE-MAR rental was positive from start to finish. Greg answered all of my questions before reserving the rental. Upon arriving, the property exceeded our expectations. I even got a call from Greg the first day to ensure we were satisfied. Everything was clean/spotless in the house/guest-house. But what we really enjoyed is the outside amenities: deck with furniture and gas grill, fire pit overlooking the water, and best of all a great dock to fish, swim, and relax on. I'm sure we will be back someday!"

  • Great for groups or large family gathering!

"Stayed January2017 for an annual fishing trip to the northwoods. I've stayed in many of the lake houses available for rent throughout Eagle River, St. Germain, Three Lakes, Minocqua, Boulder Junction, and Rhinelander. Clean, well designed house for a winter getaway. Plenty of common spaces to come together to enjoy company as well as space to sneak away for an early bedtime without being disturbed. The master bedroom bed is extremely comfortable! With ice fishing gear, It's a bit of a hike down/up the steeply sloped lot to the lake, but once there, the boathouse was perfect to store gear overnight. Plenty of success catching perch, walleye, and pike about 200' off the shore of the property! Only downsides to the stay was having to take our trash with us upon departure when most other northwoods rental properties have a property manager or cleaning service take care of that. There is a local trash station but hours are limited and didn't serve us for a Sunday departure in the winter. Also a 10am check-out is earlier than other northwoods rentals (I've found 11am to be somewhat standard). The property is about a 20-25 minute drive to town but there are also plenty of fish fry options within 15minutes of the house. We liked that it's more remote than most properties. Not much for mobile data reception, mobile phone calls weren't an issue. You'll need 4-wheel-drive or a good set of snow tires to access the house in the winter as the driveway is curved and sloped. Overall, very nice amenities and an enjoyable, relaxing stay. I have no reservations recommending this property for a group, family, or couples weekend getaway. Kellie is also helpful and easy to work with."

  • Nelsen Family

"We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with extended family at the Pine Cone Place! Beautiful home with 4 specious bedrooms and three living areas. The great room has a gorgeous view of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We rented the pontoon boat, fished every day and cruised the chain. We made s'mores over the fire pit and grilled hamburgers on the grill. We had a squirrel visit our bedroom to add excitement to the weekend. You will love this place. See how many pinecone items you can find!"
