  • Authentic log home getaway

"Just returned from a wonderful week with extended family at Lakeside Lodge. Our trip was fantastic! Revis was able to accommodate our large group and friendly dogs. Pros- private, amazing beach, spacious and comfortable home, beautiful lake, large pontoon boat and jet ski, plenty of firewood for fires on the beach. Cons- (only listing as a heads up for those it may be a problem for) steep, natural path down to beach- difficult for those who are unfit, elderly, or handicap- not a problem for us, we looked at it as good exercise. No air conditioning (which we knew from the listing). When we arrived it was hot and humid in the house with all windows open, no breeze- not a problem during the day, but makes for sticky sleeping at night. (Fortunately, the temps were in the 70s the rest of the week and the house cooled down). My one recommendation to Revis would be to invest in a larger refrigerator that is not a side by side. With our large group we brought pre-made meals for the week that we needed to keep frozen and the limited freezer space and narrowness of a side by side made that quite challenging. Thank you Revis for sharing your home with us! It provided an awesome setting for our annual family retreat to the north woods. We greatly appreciate you accommodating our group!"

  • Excellent excellent rental and I'm pretty picky!!!

"The rental is as described, five bedrooms and sleeping space for more. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of extra bedding. Fabulous, large gameroom, the pics don't do it credit. Kitchen cosy but well provisioned, everything we needed. Fridge in kitchen, fridge in garage and small fridge in garage. Excellent washer and dryer. Great grill, we ran out of propane and owner was very responsive. The beach is fabulous and was fun for our two year olds and six year old. Great sandy swimming, no weeds. Nice dock, we had two boats moored there. Great watertoys. Everything in perfect order and immaculately clean, and like my title says, I'm a picky renter. Our six year old is special needs, he is autistic and this cabin worked perfectly with him. It was safe and not too much stuff to disturb. All in all a fabulous time and we will rent again."

  • Perfect Family Cabin

"Everyone from the 4 year old to the grandparents agreed that this was a great family getaway. The cabin is very well equipped and clean. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us to have some private space as well as shared time all week. We enjoyed the remoteness and safety of the area, as well as visits by eagles, loons and hummingbirds. One huge bald eagle even perched on a log in the firepit. The boat launch was not far away, and the dock made for easy access to decent fishing and daily water play with the many toys. The swimming area was safe for the kids and the water remakably clear. Communication with the property owner was easy, and responses prompt and courteous. We would recommend this property to our friends and family and to you!"

  • Rustic Elegance

"My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home immensely. The attention to every detail made this a step above other homes we have rented and on par with the finest hotels. The home has a real northwoods rustic authenticity complimented by wonderful art, antiques and whimsy. The home itself is incredibly charming combining the foundations of the past with modern upgrades throughout. The appointments (sheets, dish ware, towels, soaps, kitchen utensils etc) are top notch. The incredible privacy the location affords, the variety of areas to enjoy the lake from, the walking trails/garden/screen gazebo, and the attention to every detail make this a very special vacation home. There are neighbors to be sure. The lake has the happy buzz of summer water sports but only during "decent" hours. Mostly, the call of the resident loons, eagles and geese were the most prevalent sounds. The layout of the property, the use of natural plant barriers to shield the home and dock area, and the wonderful lower level screen porch afford a great deal of privacy while maintaining the incredible views of the lake. The dock was in great shape, with padding and tie offs all in place for the boat owner. The water was beautiful with a sandy bottom and a nice slope to about 6' at the end of the dock. A great place for a refreshing swim! Little Round is not a big lake but it is connected to the large and diverse Round Lake which provides great fishing and boating opportunities. Plus Little Round is only about 10 or 15 minutes from Hayward and about 45 minutes from Cable. This makes a Little Round Lake House the perfect home base for exploring the area and enjoying the quiet that nature has to offer."
