About this property
Charming Lake Wissota Cabin Retreat
This charming and cozy waterfront cabin on Lake Wissota, part of the scenic Chippewa River, offers stunning sunrises, breathtaking sunsets, and the peaceful sounds of the water right outside your door. Serene and quiet, it’s the perfect escape for relaxation, adventure, or even an extended remote work stay.
Enjoy fishing, boating, or simply unwinding on the deck as you take in the river views. The cabin is thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a mobility-friendly ramped entrance, wheelchair-accessible outdoor deck, and a zero-entry shower for added comfort and ease.
Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or a tranquil lakeside retreat, this cabin has everything you need for a memorable stay.
The two spacious bedrooms each feature king beds, with one large enough to accommodate an additional twin bed. The inviting living room offers a queen sleeper sofa for two, plus an additional couch suitable for a twin-size setup. An electric fireplace and cozy natural pine décor create the perfect setting for relaxing evenings and family movie nights.
The location doesn’t get better than this! Just minutes from the Old Abe Trail and Lake Wissota Golf & Events, you’re perfectly positioned for year-round adventure. Bring your boat, golf clubs, bikes, or snowmobiles and make the most of your time away.
With full access to 6,148-acre Lake Wissota and its scenic river flowage, you can explore 60 miles of shoreline, discover popular sandbars, and enjoy local lakeside eateries. There’s so much to experience — be sure to leave plenty of time to take it all in.
If sandy beach-time is on your vacation must-have list, then Wissota State Park is less than a 10 minute drive and offers a large, family-friendly sandy swimming and picnic area and is set in a beautiful northern wooded area on historic large Lake Wissota. You will feel like you have found a hidden swimming area just for your family. With the exception of the busy weekends, where you will find there is plenty of space for everyone.
Plus you are only blocks away (less than a couple minutes bike ride) from the Old Abe Trail offering 28 miles of beautiful paved (bike or snowmobile trail) riding along the river and landscapes of the Chippewa Valley. Old Abe Trail links up to over 70 miles of trails throughout the Chippewa Valley. You can spend your whole vacation on your bikes or snowmobiles and visit many of the quaint eateries and historic sites in the area. You will have a hard time finding another spot with these unique trail biking and fun waterfront activities in the Chippewa Valley.
Note, this body of water is part of the historic Chippewa River, downstream of the Xcel Energy Jim Falls Dam, water levels fluctuate. Currents and water levels are unpredictable - use at your own risk.
