Entre-deux-Lac is the ideal retreat for friends or family. Situated one hour north of Ottawa near the Ski and Golf Resort of Mont Ste Marie, Entre-deux-Lacs is a large property situated on a pristine lake. With three cottages and the main lodge, families will have both private space and communal space for everyone to get together. Nestled in towering pine trees, with a wide expanse of lawn and open spaces, the property is suitable for young and old alike.

The original owner was a Canadian architect with Celtic roots who built the main lodge and guest cabin in 1905. The buildings are of pine and cedar construction and retain many of their original architectural details. In keeping with the mix of french canadian and celtic cultures of the Western Quebec region, the property name embodies french canada, while the cottages have been named after the remote westerly islands of Scotland; Iona, Mull and Skye reflecting the celtic heritage.

Year Round Availability from 2 to 18

The Lodge and Skye are fully winterized and available on a year round basis. They can be rented as individual units during the fall/winter/spring seasons.

The Lodge is a lakefront heritage home with four bedrooms, dining room(with woodstove), fully equipped modern kitchen with dish washer, informal living room (with fireplace) and two full bathrooms. The focal point of the Lodge is the Oak Room which is a 40ft x 18ft oak paneled, oak floored and oak beamed room with a central open fireplace. The lodge is tastefully decorated in tapestry and brocade fabrics, quality rugs and furnishing making the experience of the lodge one of style and comfort. The lodge can accommodate up to 10

Skye is a three bedroom, lagoon side cottage with a large screened porch (15ft x 20ft). Sky has a fully equipped kitchen/dining room, living room and full bath. There is a central wood burning stove and central oil furnace. Skye can accommodate up to 8

Enjoy dining al fresco cooking on the bq's, serving at the numerous picnic tables, roasting marshmallow at the firepits make dining lakeside a memorable experience.

Summer/Fall Only:

Iona cottage, is a fine example of Arts & Crafts Movement design and craftsmanship. The one bedroom cedar shake cottage retains all its period charm with pine floors, wall paneling, carved beams and original hand blown stained glass. The living room has a hand carved bookcases well stocked with classic books as well as best sellers.Iona is a charming cottage for one to three people. It is equipped with a kitchenette, living room/library, bedroom with open fireplace and a bathroom with shower.

Mull is a three bedroom pine cottage, lagoon frontage, with fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with open fireplace, bathroom with shower and three bedrooms.

Duvets, pillows are provided for all beds.

The property extends over six and a half acres offering the peace and quiet of a motorboat free environment. For those who wish to bring a motorboat, there is a boat launch on our property on the adjoining lake. Guests have the use of paddles boats, canoe and a kayak. The lake is a fine example of the benefits of environmental management; clear, clean with a sandy bottom. The lake and surrounding property has an abundance of wildlife. Be entertained by the pine martens, loons, merganzers, eagles, turtles, fish or the large population of white tailed deer who roam the property. Two 20'cedar docks and a swimming raft offer guests space for sunbathing, reading and enjoying the view of the lake.

Curl up in front of a roaring fire, select a book from the extensive library, play a game of cribbage or monopoly or do nothing at all.
