Hello, I am Derek, a freelance European Tour Director and a Londoner.
Why the Owner Chose Barcelona
I originally bought this lovely one bedroom flat as my home. I was living in Barcelona, wanted to buy but wanted to buy the right place. I waited and looked around. Passeig de Gracia was the obvious dream location in the city as it is the Principal Avenue, the main street, the most elegant and prestigious address in town. When I saw the opportunity, I grabbed it and never looked back. It is "The" best location in town.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment By Owner
The flat is very comfortable and above all, very quiet. An important feature in Spain. For city dwellers, where best to stay than on the most exclusive avenue with the all the shops, restaurants, cafes and public transport at your feet? The most important feature to me, apart from comfort, is the ease of getting around the city - on foot. When arriving in Barcelona or leaving to go to the airport, it is so easy, I just take the very inexpensive train which links the airport to Passeig de Gracia. The station is a one minute walk away. Being the best location in town, taxis are plentiful.

Hi Derek We loved the flat – location was great, décor was tasteful, bed was a little harder than my back likes, but that is a problem I have in most places! It was so good being able to walk everywhere, and I loved those little cards with suggested walks that I found on your bookshelf. It was a real plus being so near to the 2 Gaudi buildings, so we were able to be at La Pedrera early enough to beat the crowds. We did a couple of days of the hop-on, hop-off bus tour to help us to get our bearings and decide what we wanted to explore further, and of course that was really close to the apartment as well. You were right about us not needing a car, so thanks for that advice as well. I’m sure we’ll come back to Barcelona , as we both loved it, so don’t be surprised if we contact you again in years to come.
