Hello, I am Derek, a freelance European Tour Director and a Londoner.
Why the Owner Chose Eixample
I originally bought this lovely one bedroom flat as my home. I was living in Barcelona, wanted to buy but wanted to buy the right place. I waited and looked around. Passeig de Gracia was the obvious dream location in the city as it is the Principal Avenue, the main street, the most elegant and prestigious address in town. When I saw the opportunity, I grabbed it and never looked back. It is "The" best location in town.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
The flat is very comfortable and above all, very quiet. An important feature in Spain. For city dwellers, where best to stay than on the most exclusive avenue with the all the shops, restaurants, cafes and public transport at your feet? The most important feature to me, apart from comfort, is the ease of getting around the city - on foot. When arriving in Barcelona or leaving to go to the airport, it is so easy, I just take the very inexpensive train which links the airport to Passeig de Gracia. The station is a one minute walk away. Being the best location in town, taxis are plentiful.

Derek, The flat was wonderful. We really enjoyed ourselves. The local guide we hired said we were staying in the "Golden Block". Casa Batllo across the street and La Pedrera just up Passeig De Gracia, Golden is correct! Barcelona is a magical city and your flat made it even more so. Thank you so much, Jack

Hi Derek, We just arrived home in the US and are so happy we were in your apartment. It really is the best location in the city and we felt the most comfortable we've ever been away from home - we could have moved in permanently! It really was perfect and all the little extra touches of your interior decor, bathroom make-up mirror, walk-in closet, etc. made it even better than expected. we had a lovely stay despite the fact that we were pickpocketed and lost all our credit cards and a bit of cash. We espicially liked you choice of restaurant. We ate a the Madrid Barcelona twice.We wouldn´t hesitate to rec. your place again.
