FLATHEAD LAKE MONTANA - SKIDOO BAY FINLEY POINT NEW CABIN
THIS IS A NON-SMOKING, NO PET PROPERTY!
This new cabin is our Montana home, but we are willing to rent it for certain weeks per year. It is available only for these times: June and July . This home has huge windows that bring in the light and wonderful sweeping mountain views of the Mission Range. The cabin has a very large wrap-around deck with a gas barbecue.
The cabin sleeps 6 (8 with queen sofa bed)and has two master suites, one up and one on the main floor. There are two day beds in the loft and two twins in the upstairs bedroom. There are 3 baths, one in each bedroom and one for guests on the main floor. There is a stone wood-burning fireplace that provides some heat. Also, electric heat is available with individual thermostats. Ceiling fans are installed for cooling, even though the general air temperature is cooled by the lake.
Free Wireless Broadband Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a double oven, plus microwave and has all amenities including granite counter tops and breakfast bar. The entire first floor is tiled except for the bedroom. This bedroom has a whirlpool double bath that looks out on the water and beach.
There is a wonderful beach with water access for small water craft (kayaks and canoes). If you have a water ski craft, you can arrange to use our private covered moorage within easy walking distance from the cabin. This site is very protected from storms.
This stunning property is very private with acreage all around. A true Montana retreat.

A Vacation Paradise--Beautiful view

The Skidoo Bay home was a wonderful getaway for my wife and me to enjoy and to escape the heat of the summer south. The view is fantastic to the east watching the sunrise over the lake and to the see the mountains in the east colored by the setting sun. When the downdrafts of the mountains come in occasionally, the wave action on the lake is better than the Pacific Ocean, and the waves breaking on shore are a sight to behold. We enjoyed cooking on the gas grill and eating dinner on the deck watching the array of watercraft come by—bring binoculars to people watch. A lovely restaurant at the end of the road has fun service and wonderful food, and the house is very convenient to nearby Polson for shopping. In July the cherries orchards are in full production, as are huckleberries available all along the roads for buying and enjoying. Don’t miss Glacier National Park, an easy drive from the house for day trips. We made several during our stay. The pictures are very descriptive of what you will enjoy. Bigfork is another quaint shopping and restaurant town that is nearby easily accessible to the house. You will be torn between just “camping” out at the house and enjoying the peace, solitude, and private beach and exploring the area with all its history and beauty. We will definitely return to Flathead for another vacation.
Owner response:Thank you for your glowing review of our lakefront Skidoo Bay home. It is important that our guests have a positive experience so that they will want to return year after year.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
