Contemporary home that steps to the private end of Twin Lakes Beach. Blacks Beach has great swimming, surfing and skim boarding. Walk to the Harbor, Crow's Nest, Nuevos, The kind Grind Coffee Shop and other great spots. Bike rentals available. Our house is fully equipped for your enjoyment. luxury towels, linens and down quilts. There are two master bedrooms (California king & two extra long twin beds) with full baths upstairs and balconies that have ocean view. There is a queen sofa bed downstairs with a half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is indoor dining room seating for four and outdoor seating.
A warm outdoor shower is located on the side yard and there is a tropical secluded patio in the backyard with gas BBQ, dining table and chairs. Skim boards, boogie boards and beach toys are provided. This home is perfect for two couples or a family. (2-6 occupancy). We will accept pets upon approval but there is an additional fee. Parties and Weddings are not allowed.

We travelled to Santa Cruz for son's graduation from UC Santa Cruz. This property is fantastic. We had my school-age children and their half-sister, a toddler. The house is clean, well-equipped, well-appointed and spacious. The little yard is fabulous for kids. The beach was wonderful and we appreciated the beach toys and towels. My son was able to join us for dinner and we wee able to accommodate him as if it were home. We so appreciate this place and look forward to coming back in the future just for a vacation!

The house is clean, well-equipped, and spacious. The beach was very nearby and wonderful. We really appreciated that we could use the boogie boards and wetsuits for our children. The King bed in the master bedroom was wonderful; it felt like home! Monterey and Carmel are only half an hour away for sightseeing, whale watching and golf. Nearby are also two excellent golf courses called Pasatiempo and DeLeaveage golf. The outdoor tropical patio with gas grill was nice for a dinner at home with steaks and burger. Blacks Beach retreat was a home away from home.

Everything about our Christmas rental at this house was great. The owner/agent replied to inquiries promptly. I thought the rates were quite good considering the proximity to the beach and the amenities of the property. The house was immaculate upon our arrival.The decor is a cut above most vacation rentals. The real draw is the short two minute walk to Twin Lakes Beach. Our dog Stella loved loved loved the walks to the beach. The place was easy to put back in order and the owner returned our deposit quickly.There are three restaurants within walking distance. We ate at the Italian restaurant the first night and thought the food average but the staff was quite friendly. We had a fine Christmas Eve dinner at Oswald downtown and a pretty good meal at Aquarius in The Dream Inn. We arrived at Johnny's by the harbor about 7:30 for dinner one night and they were out of most things we wanted to order. I'd say dinner was just above average, but the servers were quite good.

We had a wonderful time at the beach house earlier this month. The November weather couldn't have been nicer. Walk to great coffee at the harbor along the beach. Many places to eat nearby. The house had everything you could ask for at the beach including chairs, towels, boogie boards, shortie wet suits... very easy access to the beach with spectacular sunset views from the benches at the end of the street overlooking the beach. Will definitely stay again!

After a fantastic but tireing road trip through America my self and my husband and our two friends spent our last 3 days in this lovely beach house before flying back to the UK , only 2 minutes walk from the beach and a 10 minute drive from downtown santa cruz it was just what we needed, The house had plenty of room for 4 adults without being on top of each other and was very clean and well equipped. the garden was lovely with humming birds darting about and the sound of the ocean was just lovely, I wish we could have stayed longer ahhh maybe next year.

We spent a week with our two kids (3 and 4) and were very happy. The fireplace makes the entrie house nice and cosy, the beach toys were very nice, plenty of towels, blankets, the washer and dryer and the well-equiped kitchen made this an easy and pleasant stay. VERY RECOMMENDED.

We just returned from our trip to California, where we spent 2 nights in this condo. We were exhausted from having spent a couple days in San Francisco, but found the minute we arrived we felt at home and were able to relax. The condo was perfect for our group (We went with our kids and some friends). It really is only a couple houses from the beach where we enjoyed boogie boarding and a bonfire. We will definetly be back.

We rented the property for 1 week and came from Maine to do it. We were concerned about what to bring because we have two small children. Our concerns were put to rest as soon as we saw the place. Our first impression was it was VERY CLEAN. It was the perfect size for us. Plenty of blankets, towels, and childrens toys. It is also very convienent to get to and central to many activities. Short walking distance to beach! We loved our stay and would go stay there again anytime.
