A slice of paradise... Casa de Playa is a traditional modest casa that rests gently within a teeming, beautiful nature preserve. Enjoy the beautiful grounds and touch of nostalgia for the old time Caribbean quality of life. Your yard at Casa de Playa is a park shaded by coconut trees, almonds, bananas, mangoes, and many other enticing fruits. Hosting an exotic bird sanctuary, the nearby laguna is flanked by protected mangroves, visited by pasa finos and inhabited by iguanas, land crabs and ... the fragrance of the lovely Trade Winds.

Our two bedroom casa features a queen bed in the master and two large twin beds (that can be combined into a king bed) in the other. We also can provide a standard crib and small stroller as needed.

Our chef-kitchen is well-stocked and fun, and the dining, lounge and playroom area are well-furnished, bright and beautiful. The Atlantic Ocean is visible (and audible!) from anywhere in la casa. Our views include the islands of Culebra and St. Thomas-- gorgeous at sunset.

Discover beaching at Casa de Playa; sunning, sanding, wading, stroking, surfing, seaglass searching, seashell listening, walking without end. Or lounge about on a comfortable chaise and just soak up the sun and ocean breezes...

  • Staying at Casadeplaya is so serene and refreshing. Birds and horses frequent the laguna each morning and afternoon - while you sit on your porch in awe. A beautiful view, the beach is great for sea glass collecting, walking and snorkeling - as well as surf which sings you to sleep. And I've never seen iguanas so up close; they're shy. The casa is simple, yet very nicely appointed, with good beds and a kitchen with everything needed to cook at home. Vieques is SO NOT upscale [YEAH!], yet the people are friendly and world savy. Beaches and water are awesome. MAGIC, absolutely magical.
