Costa Azul Beach is one of the longest and most beautiful beaches on the Sea of Cortez and is home to this luxurious 1,450 square foot beachfront property. Spacious open living & dining areas are served by a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and a 42-inch plasma TV & entertainment centre in living room.
The two bedrooms offer private attached baths, luxury bedding (600 thread count sheets), fine linens, 100% down pillows and a 32-inch plasma screen entertainment centre in each room.
Bedrooms, Kitchen and Living Rooms all face the swimming pools and ocean with floor-to-ceiling glass patio doors accessing the terrace. The huge 300 s/f terrace is fully equipped for outdoor cooking, dining and entertaining or sun tanning - with an elegant wrought iron & glass patio set seating six and a deluxe Ducane stainless steel Gas Barbeque.
Elevator access to large warm and cold swimming pools, hot tub, tennis court (coming) and fitness room in retail building by highway. Easy walking distance to convenience store (Traders Mini-Super) and beach access to many restaurants, including Coral Baja’s "Mama Mia's" Restaurant (next door) and Zippers Beachfront Restaurant (5 min walk on beach). Fast food restaurants (Domino's Pizza & Subway) are located 2 minutes walk on 4 lane highway in the Coral Baja development next door.
El Zalate is located a few minutes drive to the centre of San Jose de Cabo for some of the finest dining in the Baja or to world-class golfing, surfing, snorkeling and deep sea fishing all located on the corridor stretch. Hello all, both Sonja & myself have been coming to Cabo for over 10 years. We finally fell in love with San Jose & the local area. We stayed & rented at El Zalate numerous times over 8 years & finally decided to buy in 2007. We evan got married at Mona Lisa restaurant near Cabo.

This vacation was our first time in the Cabo area of Mexico and the El Zalate condo turned out to be a great place to start exploring and a great place to come back to.Les is a good host and is happy to supply you with suggestions to make your holiday a great experience.The condo is as advertised:complete kitchen with a great stove,nicely appointed bedrooms ,spacious bathrooms and comfortable living areas.This is a place to live both inside and outside.There is good access to the deck from both bedrooms and living room.Great views of the sea ,fishing boats and the whales.Garden and pool area are well kept and secure .El Zalate makes for a well positioned home base for exploring the region.San Jose del Cabo is a must see:a short and inexpensive taxi ride takes you into town from the taxi stand next door.You will enjoy the many aspects this vacation home has to offer no matter what kind of vacation you are after. We highly recommend this condo.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Perfect condo in a perfect setting! Thank you Les and Sonia for sharing your wonderful condo with us. Everything was absolutely perfect from the excellent mattresses (we slept like babies to the sound of breaking waves) to the gourmet top notch kitchen (which we didn't take advantage of). Every detail was well thought out and we where in want or need on nothing. We especially enjoyed the huge balcony which had three living spaces, two seating areas and an outdoor dining table... Fablous! Your onsite property manager Gail Christy was wonderful.. We had a minor problem with the pilot light blowing out, due to high winds... She had someone there with in a few minutes to relight it! I look forward to renting your condo again in 2012

We loved El Zalete, and would reccomend it to any our our family members, Les was on the spot and they had everything in the Condo you could possibly imagine. The view was great and the furnishings we fabulous. It was a very streamlined process and simple to use we will definately be coming back. We really enjoyed gettting out of the hustle and bustle and choas of Cabo.

March 2009 Dear Les and Sonja, Our thanks for allowing us to stay at your unit. The amenities were perfect for our holiday. The previous guests were thoughtful and left us some cold Cervesa in the fridge so we had time to sit on the huge balcony overlooking the Sea of Cortez and gaze at the beautiful pools, grounds and beach prior to going to Mega to get supplies. Everything one would require to "make yourself at home" could be found in the unit plus easy access to the Mega store was only minutes away. The close proximity to the ocean almost felt as if the condo shook from the huge waves crashing on the beach - so surreal and relaxing both at the same time. The breaching of whales a half mile out made morning coffee and the Mexican sunrise even more enjoyable. The laid back attitude of San Jose del Cabo, the seafood and fresh produce vendors outside the condo unit all added to a most memorable stay. We found other El Zalate guests most helpful and friendly in making this an enjoyable and relaxing stay. We really enjoyed the Vonage line and computer to stay connected to family and friends left at home. Most definitely 402 El Zalate is our place to stay next year! Wayne & Sal Knuts

April 2009 Thanks for the use of your condo during our stay. We really enjoy that area of San Jose and found the complex and especially your condo, first class. We enjoyed the deck and found that leaving the door open with the breeze blowing through, we rarely needed to use the AC. The condo facilities; wonderful beds, towels, kitchen and deck were a treat and made us feel right at home. It was great meeting you and Sonja. Your restaurant recommendations were appreciated with our favourites from our previous visits and your recommendations are still Cynthia’s and Morgan’s. And, George confirmed that my margarita recipe is the one to use! Our stay at the condo was really enjoyable. It was located directly by the beach. You could hear the sound of crashing waves, and soak into the pool/ocean view with the moon in the background from the unit. The unit was well-equipped with several eateries taxi stand closeby. Overall, splendid & thanks.

Dear Les & Sonja, We can't thank you enough for letting us stay at your gorgeous condo in Cabo. The decor & finishings are absolutely beautiful with every possible comfort. We spent hours relaxing on that HUGE deck watching the whales, the waves, horses, sailboats . . . In our opinion El Zalate has one of the best locations along the beach, an easy walk into San Jose yet on one of the nicest, quietest stretches of beach. The grounds are so pretty day or night and are kept up so well. Truly first class. We'll be highly recommending your condo to all our friends and family!
