  We loved this rental! It had everything we needed. The house is clean, cozy and has plenty of room. We stayed for a weekend in the Fall and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. It is just a short drive to a very charming town. Great rental, Thank You!

  This is a fabulous family oriented house to rent. It is very clean, well laid out and incredibly close to skiing and activities. The owners are wonderful and easy to work with. We are definitely renting this house again!

  My wife and I went up to Vermont in hopes of seeing some fall foliage. Unfortunately we were a too early for the foliage but we visited a number of small towns and did some exploring and hiking. Vermont is truly a beautiful state. We loved the house. It is meticulously maintained and is very comfortable. The location is great. We hope to get back next year and we would definitely recommend this house.

  Owner response: The peak of fall foliage can be a moving target from year to year but autumn is always a lovey time to visit Vermont as the days are still comfortable and the nights are cool enough to have the fireplace going.

  The house looks very nice -outside and inside. It was very clean, it is a new house very well taken care of. Everything that anybody would need would be found in this house. The owner was not only very pleasant and kind, but very patient with all the questions we had. The description of the house was very accurate. We can't recommend any improvements or changes, everything was perfect! The house is located on a very quiet street, but you have access to stores, restaurants and lots of attractions within minutes. We would recommend this property to anybody who loves a vacation in Vermont!

  The owners were so accomodating for such last minute reservations! The house is beautiful and very secluded. The house is maintained very well and the sauna was such a nice treat. The local town is beautiful and there are some neat local stores and restaurants. This is the perfect place to retreat to no matter what season.

  This is the most wonderful, wonderful house to stay in. Everything is there! fireplace, porch, it's so incredibly tidy, there is a sauna, the kitchen is great, the beds are comfortable, Kathleen is wonderful, so easy, and enjoyable to book with, there are trees, grass, lovely area to eat in, TV, silence outside, right near my sister's house. All my family that came to visit was shocked at how lovely, lovely it was. The best place I have ever stayed at in Vermont!!! Nancy Lee

  This was a great family getaway house. The set up was perfect for our two family vacation. The kids had a great time in the downstairs room and the house was very clean and organized. The owner had all the cleaning tools and cookware necessary to cook at home. This house is also in a GREAT location. There is an Aveda spa a few miles down the road and the Harpoon Brewery and Long Trail Brewery were a 30 minute drive away. It was quiet and close to great Vermont attractions! I would recommend this home to any one that is looking for a family getaway in a very clean and well cared for home.

  Owner response: Foliage Season is a perfect time to visit Vermont. Octoberfest is celebrated at all the wonderful local breweries. There are also many Biking and Running events at this time of year.

  Vacationed at this home during August 2011 with my two young boys, husband and parents. Home offers all the amenities you need, is very well laid out and comfortable. Downstairs lower lever was great for my 5 and 7 year old boys who loved having their own area to hang out in. Kitchen wasn't missing any item and was very well stocked! Yard is large for the kids to enjoy while the adults lounge on the front deck. I visited Weston, Vt often as a child and going back after many years away was a trip down memory lane. Billings Farm and Museum in Woodstock was a worthy day-long visit as was the Quechee shopping center, Farmers Diner and gorge right nearby. Hapgood Pond and Rec Area near Peru was a worthy trip for the kids to cool off and enjoy the sandy beach. A visit to Rutland is not too far away and offers lots of shopping. We hiked to the very top of Okemo Mtn., walked Buttermilk Falls and ate some great food in and around the area. My father and husband fished in Black River, although much to their chagrin, did not bring any fish back for dinner. Enjoyed this home immensely and would love to visit again. The owner offered suggestions as to what to do and even had a delicious pie waiting for us upon arrival. A welcoming home in the heart of wonderful views!

  We have had the pleasure of scheduling our vacations in this beautiful home for a number of years now. The owners are so easy to work with and accommodate our yearly requests for the big ski season. The house is sooo close to the all the best slopes; making every day a ski adventure as we pick a different mountain to ski on each day. For the non-skiing season, there is so much to do in the surrounding area. We love the trips to Rutland, to local farms for horseback riding and produce/crafts purchases. Although you feel like you're way out in the scenic mountains, you're really still close to town - prefect for running out for quick supplies or to pick up the paper. The house is always clean and fully equipped with all the essentials for having a carefree vacation. The layout is perfect for adults to gather late into the evening while kids are peacefully in bed on the other levels. We love this home and plan to return every year.

  This house is located on a peaceful and scenic road in Cavendish. Although it is rural, the area is centrally located to all that southern and central Vermont has to offer. We are planning a second stay in this house this summer, and have even increased our vacation to a two week stay. The house has every amenity you could possibly need and then some. It is immaculate, comfortable and very family friendly. The boys can play ball outside, as my husband and I grill dinner and enjoy the scenery. Camp Plymouth offers us a daily trip to a pristine lake, while swimming holes and hiking fill our days as well. On cooler Vermont summer nights, my husband can be found enjoying the sauna in the basement which is truly another little getaway altogether. The home's layout affords everyone in my family their own private time after a long busy day, which is necessary when travelling with two young boys! I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for that true "Vermont experience."
