  Our 49th birthday weekend, which included our first experience of cutting our Christmas tree from the tree farm in Cashiers, was excellent. Gardener's Cottage was our home away from home and provided everything we needed, including that wonderful hot tub in the 30 degree weather! The owner provided such personal touches as chocolates and soft music playing when we arrived. The town of Henderson has fun, interesting places to explore. Great weekend. We'll come back and Gardener's Cottage will be our destination again. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

  We stayed at the Gardener's Cottage while in town for a visit with extended famiy. We had 2 families stay in the house with several other families joining us for gatherings and meals. The house worked great for us! The kids loved the big porch and porch swing. The master bedroom is large. The access to high speed internet was essential as my husband had to work online during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room very accomodating for our large group. The interior is decorated beautifully and the whole house was incredibly clean . The easy access to the historic downtown area as well as many outdoor attractions is very convenient. We look forward to staying here again as it was perfect for our visit!

  This is a lovely cottage, spacious, tastefully decorated, and conveniently located close to downtown shopping, restaurants, and the different adventurous opportunities available in this beautiful area. The house was very clean with comfortable furnishings and was well stocked, so it was quite easy to relax and feel at home. I found the kitchen to be well-equipped, which is quite important to me. My family enjoys playing games together so I thought it nice that there were board games available. I love the porch swing (as do my grandchildren!) My son's family stayed here previously; some good family memories were made here at that time. Other family members have stayed in various Cranmore Cottages over the years and all enjoyed the cottage they were in, but this one might be the family favorite!

  In March I was in Hendersonville on business & had booked the Tree House Cottage for a week & needed to stay for a second week because of over running business commitments. Wanted to stay a second week at the Tree House Cottage as had such a nice time there, but it was booked that week. The owner Sandra had this other cottage free this week & changed me over to it for the second week. After the first week in the Tree House I thought this would not be as much fun or as enchanting as the Tree House. But it was a great house that I really enjoyed very much & so close to Main Street in Hendersonville itself, only a few minutes in the car. Nicely decorated & very comfortable, felt very at home there!! Very close to the house were plenty of shops restaurants & an Ingles store two all within walking distance if you decided to walk. Also a short drive away was a great little Antique Mall called Firefly Antiques which had great stuff in there!! Also something I had never experienced before with being from the UK was Elijah Mountain where I prospected for gems & all other sorts of goodies!! GREAT ALL ROUND LOCATION again would recommend highly & thanks to Sandra for helping me sort that second week out. Gary UK

  The cottage has great curb appeal. The swing on the front porch was nice and the owner had placed pillows outside on chairs and benches. However, there were a few things wrong, as follows: (1) We found it difficult to make contact to ask a question --- as we neared the check in date we tried to contact to figure out key code by using the email address that we initially made contact with. After a day with no response we called the number on the contract and did not receive a response. After another day we called the number on the website and got an immediate answer. (2) The road from the downtown area to the house is under construction and so it is all torn up. Not the owners fault but there was no notification of this. The cottage faces a main road as well which was a bit of a surprise. There is some road noise but it wasn't a big deal. (3) The claw foot tub leaks and the other shower is sort of the plastic type so it isn't so nice. Do not try to fill the bath and take a shower at the same time (there will be no water coming out of the shower!) (4) The refridgerator leaks (I think the water tube in the door)? (5) There is no dish washer -- the summary of the house doesn't say there is a dish washer so I shouldn't have been expecting one, but just a note. (6) Turning on the hot tub was not user friendly and the tub is not maintained at a hot temperature so we would have needed to wait for that. However, there were hornets flying around out back so we didn't want to stay in the hot tub. (7) There were quite a few spiders, ants and bugs in the house. (8) There was an odd requirement that we had to strip all the beds and put the sheets in the floor in the laundry room upon check out.

  My husband and I recently stayed in Gardner's Cottage ...it was a wonderful get away with all the comforts of home ... very convenient to everything ... we loved relaxing on the front porch ... we would definitely stay there again. Kudos to Dean & Sandra.

  My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cottage for our 2nd anniversary. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and was extremely comfortable. We were really impressed with their attention to detail. The only downside was that the hot tub wasn't completely private--it could use a privacy fence on the street side of the property, but other than that one issue it was a wonderful retreat. I would definitely like to return one day. It was also very convenient to downtown shopping.
