Shoreside Cottage is a newly-renovated cottage, spacious, charming, and fully furnished for your enjoyment. It can accomodate sleeping 10 adults. Thanks to all our guests who have helped make our cottage a success. We appreciate all of your repeat business!
We are situated in the heart of Mapleton Beach, a quiet, private neighborhood, which has been occupied by families, both seasonally and year-round, for decades. Local attractions on the "Strip" are only a block away. Panoramic lakefront views are breathtaking.
Our cottage is made up of two floors. The first floor has an updated fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances and a small table and chairs for coffee in the morning. The large living room includes digital cable TV and DVD player, and comfortable overstuffed furniture. In addition, there is a comfortable den (also with digital cable TV and wireless internet service) with a queen-size sleeper sofa. A full bath is connected to the den, so this is convenient for those who may not like to climb steps. The laundry room provides a washer and dryer for your convenience, and we supply all the laundry products that you may need. One of the outstanding features on the first floor is the large, enclosed L-shaped porch overlooking the lake,and providing dining space for at least 12 people. When the weather cools, the porch can be heated. What a great gathering place it is for families or groups any time of the day or evening!
The spacious, beadboarded stairway leads to the upstairs where you will find three bedrooms and another full bath. The front bedroom overlooks the lake and is furnished with a queen-size bed and a twin bed. The side bedroom has a spacious closet and a queen-size bed whose window also looks out onto the lake. The third bedroom is furnished with three twin beds, which could easily convert into a king-size combination with one additional twin bed.
All linens (sheets, blankets, comforters, towels, placemats, tablecloths) are provided for the bedrooms, baths, kitchen, and dining porch along with all paper and cleaning products.
You have many choices for relaxation at Shoreside. There is a sunning deck with picnic table, lawn chairs and grill, and a swing on the bank, which overlooks the lake. You could sun and swim at the private beach, or moor your jet ski or runabout near the beach and come up for a bite of lunch.
Geneva-on-the-Lake is an historic resort village which features miniature golf, waterslides, go-karts, shopping, karoake, many restaurants and a winery. Geneva State Park is minutes away, with the chance to swim at the large beach, boat and fish from its marina and hike and bike on its roads and pathways. The wider area of Ashtabula County is known for its many wineries, historic harbor district, quaint shops and antiquing opportunities.
We are confident that you will be thoroughly delighted with Shoreside Cottage, its amenities, furnishings and decor.

Also, even if the calendar indicates that certain weeks may already be reserved, please call since we could put you on a waiting list in case of cancellations. We have some close neighbors who are renting their cottages, and they may have openings available.

During the off-season, we rent by the week, partial week, or weekend.
To hold dates, $200.00 non-refundable deposit required.
We have a two-night minimum stay.
There is an 8% bed tax plus a security deposit are both required.
