Come relax and enjoy beautiful Harbor Island located on the Atlantic Ocean. This is a private gated island that is quiet, quaint and tropical. We are located in the Harbour Key section of the island, only a quick, beautiful 10 minute drive to the beach. Our home has 3 bedrooms & 2.5 baths. It comfortably sleeps 4 adults and 6 children, but can accommodate 2 more on the sofa sleeper in the main living area. Beds: 1K, 1Q, 1bunk D/S, S trundle, D-SS, Q-SS. The master(on the 2nd floor) has a king bed with attached full bath (shower only). Upstairs, 2nd bedroom: queen bed with sitting area & shared full bath. 3rd bedroom: Bunk bed-single top/double bottom, twin trundle, double-bed sofa sleeper in sitting area. The upstairs bedrooms share a full balcony with incredible marsh and sound views with 4 adirondack chairs to enjoy breathtaking sunsets. TV & DVD player in each bedroom as well as the main living area. WiFi is included too! The library in the loft has two swivel chairs for reading, relaxing, or watching the sunrise. We have a fully stocked kitchen, service for 10, dining seating for 8-10, screen porch dining for 4 at the bar counter looking out on the marsh. Enjoy the picturesque views from the swing also on the screened back porch or watch the wildlife from the front porch rocking chairs. Two game rooms are located on the street level with chess/game table, sofa, foosball and board games. Two adult beach bikes are included with the rental.

Island amenities include pool, kiddie pool, playground, small fitness center, tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, and golf chipping area. There is also a fenced recreation area for horseshoes and shuffleboard. Use of the golf cart is included (licensed drivers 18+). The wildlife is amazing with many types of birds and animals (alligators too!). Necessities and even lunch are available at the General Store across the street. Historic Beaufort, SC is a 15 minute drive, Hilton Head, SC is about a 45 minute drive and Savannah, GA is about 1 1/2 hour drive. Surrounding small towns offer scenic day trips and golf is nearby too.

  • Enjoyed our stay at marshmelon. Was a great family vacation. Beach was uncrowded and very wide. Really enjoyed the golf cart. Very quite and a lot of wildlife. Also, saw at least 50 dolfins every day from the beach. Pretty cool

  • We certainly enjoyed our stay at Marshmelon. The house was nicely decorated, comfortable, and fully equipped. The upper deck was great for stargazing and the evening show of all the birds returning to their roosts is not to be missed.

  • My cousins and I were lucky to be the first guests at Marshmelon. My extended family had gathered to celebrate our grandmother's 90th birthday with the aunts and uncles in one house and us cousins in another. Seven of us slept in Marshmelon, but the house could have easily accommodated more. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could ask for, which made hosting Sunday brunch a breeze. The bedrooms are all cheery and there's even a game room on the bottom level that has a foosball table! I would recommend this house for anyone, and plan to give the Nugents a call for our next family reunion.
