When renting at the Elysian Beach Resort there are two things you absolutely need to know:

1) Are you renting a single room unit? Most of the units are 450-500 square feet. Our condo is actually three combined units with approximately 1,500 square feet in which to spread out!

2) The Elysian Beach Resort is built on a hillside. One of the most common questions we get asked is "How many stairs do I need to traverse to/from the beach and swimming pool?" Our condo is near the bottom of the hill and is one of the closest to the beach and pool, and we still have great views. We have the fewest number of stairs to traverse than anywhere else in the resort. Our unit is about a 60-second walk to the beach; the pool is closer.

The Island: You have come to the right island if you want to explore some of the most beautiful sights in the world, partake in virtually any water/boating activity, lounge at several of the world’s most beautiful beaches, or enjoy extraordinary restaurants.

Take day trips to St. John or the British Virgin Islands, shop in world renowned & duty-free Charlotte Amalie, golf in a Caribbean paradise at Mahogany Run, or visit the infamous Udder Delight roadside stand next to the St. Thomas Dairy for a Kahlua Milkshake ... and the list goes on and on! It’s all here for you on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a U.S. Territory.

The Condo: In this exquisitely decorated two bedroom condo, each room has a private furnished balcony, A/C unit, ceiling fan, cable TV, and private bathroom. The condo contains one king, one queen, and one drop-down queen Murphy bed. Two twin inflatable mattress with linens and electric inflate/deflate are available upon request. Central to the condo is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. All linens are provided. As a direct guest of the owner (through this website), you will be provided the best rates and a private check-in that allows you to bypass the front-desk process.

The Resort: Come and enjoy the exclusive and immaculately manicured Elysian Beach Resort where the aqua blue Caribbean water of Cowpet Bay will be ever present in your views from the living room, the bedrooms, or any one of this exquisite condo's three private balconies.

The Elysian is located just 12.5 scenic miles from the Cyril E. King airport (STT) on the east end of St. Thomas where it rises from its secluded beach to offer a most magnificent setting tucked quietly between the Ritz-Carlton and the St. Thomas Yacht Club.

From the moment you enter the resort you will begin to relax as you discover that most all of your vacation needs can be satisfied within a few hundred feet of the condo.

Start your day by visiting the beach-side veranda of Robert's American Grill, a local favorite, for that first cup of fresh coffee where you can sit in the fresh morning air and get started on that book you've been wanting to read. If coffee and a book is not your style, consider a brisk workout at the resort health club or a game of tennis on a court surrounded by palm trees.

Later in the morning, enjoy the beautifully secluded white sand beach, where, in the shade of the palm trees, you will find complimentary use of beach towels, beach furniture and a sports concession stand that offers a variety of water toys such as paddle boats, single and double kayaks, windsurfers, float-mats, and snorkeling gear.

Enjoy lunch on the beach deck at Ainsley's Restaurant while you watch the iguanas sunbathing.

After you tire of the iguanas, get up and join in one of the friendly games of beach volleyball before you visit the resort spa for a relaxing massage or sauna.

If partaking of island rum is also on your agenda, visit one of the three resort bars. Make sure to ask for the ever popular "Pain-Killer" drink invented and made famous at Soggy Dollar Bar on the island of Jost Van Dyke. (Better yet, take the ferry from Red Hook to Jost Van Dyke by way of Soppers Hole in Tortola where you can clear BVI customs ... take your passport.)

For a change of scenery, with reading material in hand, consider spending an afternoon sitting at the Elysian freshwater swimming pool; one of the most exquisitely designed and landscaped pools on the island, complete with rock grotto waterfall and hot tub.

In the evening, dine in casual elegance at Robert's where you will be served excellent food and entertainment.

If playing a game of chance is in the cards, try your luck at video poker in the gaming room next to the sundries store!

The resort is just two miles from Red Hook, the center of St. Thomas's popular east end activity and ferry transports to the other islands in the area (USVI and BVI). In Red Hook you will also find boutiques and groceries, and several marinas where you can rent powerboats or sailboats. Red Hook also has many popular restaurants and nightclubs.

  • We enjoyed our stay at St. Thomas. Our whole experience was wonderful starting with the wedding, the condo, seeing St. Thomas and St. John, being with our family and traveling together using the mini van from Bobbie at Budget Rent A Car. Bobbie had the vehicle ready and it helped us out greatly. The location of your condo was excellent. We were able to visit with the family at Cowpet Bay West and was close to my brother-in-law's dive shop, Aqua Action at Secret Harbour Beach Resort. The condo was very nice and we had enough room. Thank you for the use of your condo. We greatly appreciate it.

  • We spent 4 days here in early October 2009, and wish it were longer. St. Thomas, and the surrounding islands are beautiful, and the things to do are plentiful. Or, if you are looking for total relaxation, The Elysian is the perfect place to be. The pool and beach are both top notch, and there are both casual and formal dining options just steps away. The condo was very comfortable, and beautifully decorated (the pictures do not lie). We took full advantage of the amenities this property has to offer, and the rest of our time exploring. This vacation was a pleasant surprise, and we recommend it to everyone.

  • The Elisian resort is fantastic! Not having been back to St. Thomas since our honeymoon 30 years ago, I wasn’t so sure. This resort is far better than Sapphire Beach. The Elisian staff is great and they treat everyone as a first class customer. This unit, #E126, is perfect. It is well appointed, spacious and has all the amenities you’ll ever need. The balcony overlooks the resort activity spots and Cowpet Bay. You can see what’s going on at the resort all the time and have a great view all week. Being 30 yards from the beach and a lounge chair makes it even better. We are not waiting another 30 years and plan to go back next year.

  • We had an enjoyable stay in this condo over Easter. The condo was much bigger and had much nicer furnishings than I expected. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable with good mattresses. There were nice tv's in each room along with an Ipod sound system. Having the washer/dryer in the unit was a nice amenity. The location was great. Very close to the private beach, and also very convenient to nearby restaurant options. The location was also very convenient to Red Hook for the ferries and daysails (I would highly recommend Treazzure for a day sail-a little more expensive, but well worth it). The only negative I can think of was the noisy garbage truck that picked up from Robert's Grill fairly early in the morning. The condo owners were very professional to deal with. I would highly recommend this condo, and would definitely stay here again.

  • We had such a nice stay at Elysian Beach Resort. It was a perfect place to stay and it had everything that we needed. The Condo is very spacious and very neat. Well decorated and well equipped. Great view of beach from all three balconies and great pool and restaurants right next to the Condo. St.Thomas is a very nice place for vacation. We had a very nice time there. Driving in St.Thomas is not so bad and we can avoid paying high bills to Taxis. I will definitely recommend your condo to my friends and relatives. And When we visit St. Thomas again, we will for sure rent your Condo. Thanks for everything.

  • We loved our stay in your condo, it was perfect. It was much larger than we expected and was well equipped with everything we needed. The property was beautiful, great pool & beach, we also enjoyed visitng the Ritz next door. Food at Roberts & Ainsley's was excellent.   • We just returned from a lovely stay at the Elysian Beach resort. We had such a great time! We had everything we needed in the Condo.I have to admit that my favorite part of the Condo was the bed. All the beds were so comfortable...even the Murphy bed. There was an iguana that lives outside the main balcony inside the bush. He greeted us everyday. I have never seen such a long tail! The weather was perfect. The people who run the hut on the beach that books excursions were so nice. They gave us rum drinks everyday! Thanks Nancy for sharing your condo with us. Negative things ...taxi drivers are big rip offs! They wanted to charge us $80.00 per person to go back to the airport on Friday morning. You may want to warn people who are going that taxis are very expensive way to go. Actually...that is the only negative thing I can think of! Thanks again! (And yes I wish I could go back again tomorrow!)
