The Condo: In this exquisitely decorated two bedroom condo, each room has a private furnished balcony, A/C unit, ceiling fan, cable TV, and newly remodeled private bathrooms. The condo contains one king, two queens, and one drop-down queen Murphy bed. One twin inflatable mattress with linens and electric inflate/deflate are available upon request. Central to the condo is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room (kitchen remodeled in December 2010), All linens are provided. As a direct guest of the owner (through this website), you will be provided the best rates and a private check-in that allows you to bypass the front-desk process.
The Resort: Come and enjoy the exclusive and immaculately manicured Elysian Beach Resort where the aqua blue Caribbean water of Cowpet Bay will be ever present in your views from the living room, the bedrooms, or any one of this exquisite condo's three private balconies.
The Elysian is located just 12.5 scenic miles from the Cyril E. King airport (STT) on the east end of St. Thomas where it rises from its secluded beach to offer a most magnificent setting tucked quietly between the Ritz-Carlton and the St. Thomas Yacht Club.
From the moment you enter the resort you will begin to relax as you discover that most all of your vacation needs can be satisfied within a few hundred feet of the condo.
Start your day with a fresh cup of coffee on one of the three balconies where you can sit in the fresh morning air and get started on that book you've been wanting to read. If coffee and a book is not your style, consider a brisk workout at the resort health club or a game of tennis on a court surrounded by palm trees.
Later in the morning, enjoy the beautifully secluded white sand beach, where, in the shade of the palm trees, you will find complimentary use of beach towels, beach furniture and a sports concession stand that offers a variety of water toys such as paddle boats, single and double kayaks, windsurfers, float-mats, and snorkeling gear.
Enjoy a quiet day on the beach while you watch the iguanas sunbathing. (See our FAQ for information about feeding the iguanas.)
After you tire of the iguanas, get up and join in one of the friendly games of beach volleyball before you visit the resort spa for a relaxing massage or sauna.
If partaking of island rum is also on your agenda, make sure to ask for the ever popular "Pain-Killer" drink invented and made famous at Soggy Dollar Bar on the island of Jost Van Dyke. (Better yet, take the ferry from Red Hook to Jost Van Dyke by way of Soppers Hole in Tortola where you can clear BVI customs ... take your passport.)
For a change of scenery, with reading material in hand, consider spending an afternoon sitting at the Elysian freshwater swimming pool; one of the most exquisitely designed and landscaped pools on the island, complete with rock grotto waterfall and hot tub.
The resort is just two miles from Red Hook, the center of St. Thomas's popular east end activity and ferry transports to the other islands in the area (USVI and BVI). In Red Hook you will also find boutiques and groceries, and several marinas where you can rent powerboats or sailboats. Red Hook also has many popular restaurants and nightclubs.

When renting at the Elysian Beach Resort there are two things you absolutely need to know:
1) Are you renting a single room unit? Most of the units are 450-500 square feet. Our condo is actually three combined units with approximately 1,500 square feet in which to spread out!
2) The Elysian Beach Resort is built on a hillside. One of the most common questions we get asked is "How many stairs do I need to traverse to/from the beach and swimming pool?" Our condo is near the bottom of the hill and is one of the closest to the beach and pool, and we still have great views. We have the fewest number of stairs to traverse than anywhere else in the resort. Our unit is about a 60-second walk to the beach; the pool is closer.

Why the Owner Chose Cowpet Bay
After visiting many islands throughout the Caribbean, we settled on buying property in Cowpet Bay on St. Thomas because of the large variety of activities in the area. We choose to purchase on the East End of the island for easy access to the people/car ferry and other boating activities available in Red Hook.

Condos is everything we expected and more. Clean, spacious, and well appointed. All necessary equipment required for a week stay. Everything was in working order, newly updated and clean. Nancy and Chris were great hosts and actuall stopped by during our vist, very nice meeting both of you. I have stayed at several condos from this website and this was by far the cleanest, nicest condo yet. Buildings and grounds are very well maintained, beach was clean, raked every morining. Cowpet was a great quiet location close enough to Red Hook and Far enough away from Charlotte Amalie. Would recommend to family!

We stayed in Building E of Nancy's Condos during the week of August 7-14, 2011. I had made the photo of the view off the balcony my background on my work computer and several of my coworkers actually asked for the website because the picture generated interest in Nancy's properties on St. Thomas. I have to say that the picture of the beach from the balcony as well as all the other pictures are true depictions of the condo. Everything was in perfect working order, very clean, and comfortable. There was an over-abundance of towels and linens. The full kitchen was well stocked. We did take several trips to St. John and some of the surrounding beaches and enjoyed them very much. But we kept coming back to the Elysian and talking about how enjoyable it was to be so uncrowded, free chairs and shade (from the coconut trees), beautiful pool and spa, and just steps back to our condo to pick up food, new drinks, whatever. Red Hook is very close and boasts extraordinary restaurants such as Pesce, Cellars, FishTails, and others. Charlotte Amalie is fairly close and accommodating as well with great restaurants and a good dentist! Yes, my crown fell off and I found the reigning Ms. Senior America to be a wonderful dentist (Kimberly Moore). I have already been in touch with Nancy about renting two of her units next year for a bit longer stay, since all of our children and their "others" want to join us. Nancy, I cannot thank you enough for sharing your gorgeous condo with us.

Our family would like to thank Nancy for offering this beautiful condo to us. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! No need to worry about renting over the internet as everything that is advertised about this condo is accurate. The owners are VERY GENUINE people and I cannot compliment them enough for that. We have been to St. Thomas many times and are glad to now have a new home away from home when we visit the island. The restaurants in the resort are in a temporary state of transition, but we were offered a complimentary shuttle into Red Hook several times per day and evening, so that solved the issue of having places to dine as well as picking up groceries at the local market. And, we also learned about a trail that allowed us to walk into Red Hook. Not something you would ordinarily do in St. Thomas because of the roads, so that was a nice surprise and adventure. The Ritz Carlton is right next door with several restaurants (we ate at the one on the beach in front of the time shares and it was delicious with the most magnificent view). There is also a gift shop there where you can pick up the local newspaper, magazines, postcards, etc. I went to the Seagrape Spa at our resort (The Elysian) and it was fantastic. We also used the sailboat from the beach shack many times which took us out into the beautiful cove. Look up what the word Elysian means and you will find it at this condo for sure. All in all, if there is a perfect vacation spot...this is it so I would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you Nancy for sharing...we will be back!

We stayed at this property in June 2011. This was our 2nd trip to St. Thomas (dramatically better than our previous stay at the Wyndham Sugar Bay). Beautiful condo with great view of the beach. We went with our teenage son (which made the 2 bedroom condo ideal). Short ride to Red Hook for good dining and shopping (Pesce is a must if you like Italian food). Loved the tour of BVI through New Horizons - highlight of our trip. Off season trip gave us great rates and far less congestion. Enjoyed great weather as well. 10 on a scale of 1-10 for accomodations, location...ideal vacation. Only negative was we had to come back home!

The photo's of the rental do show what the place is really like, as in clean, nicely appointed very well located on the property. Although I'm not sure the owners do a good enough job of displaying how large the condo is. It's 3 full condos, consolidated into one, and about 1500 sq feet. Each room has it's own full bathroom (including the great room with the kitchen) and each room has it's own balcony and view of the bay. The property itself, very clean well maintained. The owners were very helpful and credited part of our daily rate due to the pool being closed for re-finishing the entire time we were there. The beach at Cowpet Bay is beautiful and great for swimming, better than the beach at the Ritz around the corner. The restaurants on the property, particularly Ainsley's. Good staff, good bar food, good salad for those not into bar food, and really good pizza, and that says a lot considering you can find pizza anywhere. Roberts also had good food, but is a little more expensive for dinner, although breakfast was about what I'd expect. Adrian with Octopussy Adventures is a good way to go to visit other islands including Jost Van Dyke. If you rent a vehicle, which after a day or so driving on the left is not so scary, know that parking in Red Hook can be hard to find, we had luck in the lot underneath the American Yacht Harbor most nights. I would absolutely stay here again.

I was put in charge of finding a place for our family vacation. I spent hours looking at resorts as well as almost every location on this site. I finally decided on Nancy's condo because of all the info she provided as well as all the positive feedback from past guests. We couldn't have been happier with our stay here. The condo was plenty big for 3 adult couples (my parents, sister and her boyfriend, and my husband and me). The beach was close (very few steps) and AMAZING! The restaurants were awesome as well and we met the chef several times as he was always out and about. Red Hook was extremely close and we went to St John's from there one day. This condo comes highly recommended and if we head back to St Thomas I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Also we checked in on Easter Sunday and Nancy was available by phone to answer all questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our February vacation at this condo. The condo is very well cared for and the location is great. Close to Red Hook ferry, Beach is beautiful. No need to travel into big city of Charlotte Amalie. Condo is very close to some great restaurants in Red Hook. Also the resort has 2 great restaurants. Staff is very friendly. Owners were great to work with. We also took the ferry to St John twice. We will be visiting again soon.

Our experience was everything that we had hoped for. The condo was very comfortable and the location was excellent (and was near a grocery store). The restaurants exceeded our expectations and the beach was lovely. We had some difficulty finding the property because the roads are not clearly marked but after asking for directions, we were able to find the resort. Also, the letters identifying the buildings could be larger. Overall we give it a 5 star and look forward to the next trip.

This condo. is truly amazing. There is everything you need and spectacular views from the decks. The condo. is furnished beautifully which means you do not need to bring a thing, ie. towels/sheets. The pool and the beach are excellent. Our kids went from pool to beach many times throughout each day. The dining is fabulous. We are time share owners here at the Elysian and rented this instead because we needed the two rooms for the family. It is perfect. The owners are very nice and accomidating. I highly recommend this property
