New Year's Family Ski Trip

My family including 3 grown children, their spouses and 2 grandchildren ages 1 and 4, spent a week here over New Year's 2010-2011. We absolutely loved the townhouse. The landing area off the heated garage was so convenient and provided plenty of room for ski boots, coats, etc for the next day. The elevator was handy for carrying luggage and groceries to the upper floors, not to mention tired legs from a day of skiing! Our family loves to cook, so we spent a lot of time in the magnificent kitchen. It had everything we needed. I especially apprecated that the pantry and fridge were not completely bare. Anything that did not spoil and could be used again was thoughtfully left behind, spices, popcorn, etc. We added to the collection! The decor was unbelievable - the tiled bathooms, linens, light fixtures, furniture all beautiful and trendy. We spend many nights playing cards around the ample table .The townhouse is extremely child-friendly and an easy walk to downtown and the hot springs. This was a perfect spot to celebrate the New Year with our family. We even hired Jeff from Pagosa Springs Photography to take family photos. The heated floors were wonderful, especially for the children. My only complaint, however, was the thermastat. It was apparently malfunctioning while we were there, and the temperature inside the unit stayed from 78-86 degrees, except for the front downstairs bedroom, which stayed cold. I contacted the rental agent who acknowledged knowing about the problem. She was very nice, however, it was not corrected while we were there. That being said, it is a remarkable unit and would definitely stay there again, and hope to do so in the future.
