Map & Owner's Profile
Year Purchased: 2002
Why the Owner Chose Asheville
We bought this property because of the beauty of the area! When we purchased the property it had “Our House” and “My Roundette”. We added 16 acres adjoining to the 8 that was originally purchased. We renovated both the houses using old wood from barns we acquired in the area, wormy chestnut and oak mostly. In 06’ we decided to build another house higher up on the mountain and share “Our House” with others thru vacation rental. Our company, The Cove at Fairview, was started in early 07’. In the fall of 08’ we began renting “My Roundette” that became available when our youngest daughter married and then purchased a house close by. The company was started by the desire to have both daughters remain in this area working with us, therefore we became a family business!
The Unique Benefits at this House
A few of the benefit of staying at “The Cove at Fairview” properties are as follows:
• Homes utilizing reclaimed wood both with walls/trim.
• Antique/rustic furniture with comfortable beds featuring Egyptian cotton linens.
• Fully equipped kitchens with gas and charcoal grills.
• Waterfalls with Koi fish in three small ponds with picnic tables, a hammock, and a swing to enjoy outdoor relaxing.
• Animals- Horses, a Duck, Chickens, and cats are in our barn area for visiting and enjoying.
• Fresh eggs are made available to our guest as well as homemade bread.
• Being able to use all the amenities of one of the areas most exclusive private country clubs- including golf, tennis, swimming, dinning, as well as meeting facilities.
Our guest say a huge benefit is the peacefulness of the property- the majority leave refreshed from their vacation. Being located within close proximity of all the Asheville and Western North Carolina attractions provides visitors with many choices.

Frank was a wonderful host, and the roundette was the perfect place to stay for a couple's Asheville getaway. Frank took the time to greet us; gave a tour of the roundette; showed us around the beautiful property; and introduced us to the horses, cats and chickens. We even grabbed some fresh eggs. The roundette was very clean, with beautiful linens. And it's a very close, 10 min. direct drive to downtown Asheville. I miss chicken FiFi already! You'll really enjoy your stay.

If you’re looking for affordable five star accommodation cabin rental this is the place! Several others to choose from At The Cove in Fairview. Etta & Frank thank you so much for the relaxing stay. You had all the amenities anyone could ask for. A wonderful added touch was the fresh eggs and bread. Such peaceful surroundings! Thank you for being such great host and Frank for the tour. A bit of the country but yet close to the city. See Frank for your discount Biltmore ticket and he is a great source of info on the local area.

My husband and I stayed here in January 2010 so it was quite cold outside...however this Roundette kept us snuggly and warm inside. Everything you need for a quiet getaway. A short walk down the drive led us to chickens and horses in the barn nearby. We enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast in the morning! They were still warm! The kitchen is stocked and you can easily cook a meal for 2. The hottub was fantastic and private. You should rent this unit for sure! We will definitely return.....

I wanted a beautiful place with an attractive cabin to get away for a few days and that is just what I got and more. The Roundette was attractive cozy and comfortable. Everything worked perfectly. I was surprised with fresh eggs and a loaf of bread baking when I arrived. I loved feeding carrots to the friendly horses and watching the chickens. The location was great. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Frank is a wonderful host. Every part of our stay, from booking to our departure, was wonderful thanks to Frank's hospitality. The Roundette was a perfect place to spend our honeymoon. The location was close to Asheville yet far enough away from everything touristy. Frank was very resourceful and offered many great ideas on places to go and things to do while we were in NC. Thanks to his farm fresh eggs I may never buy eggs from a grocery store again! Thanks for opening up your 'home' to us! We look forward to coming back again!
