Great Christmas

Guest: Austin (Naples Florida)
Date of Stay: 12/23/10 Review Submitted: 01/02/11

A great Christmas was had by all, We so enjoyed our stay - which was extended by the snow. Thanks for your understanding when we couldn't get out. The decorations were great and the twins loved the toy man. We all enjoyed the fire ring until we lost it in the snow, but then we enjoyed the snow. With all the snow we felt like we were in a Frost poem, which made the Christmas gathering even more special. Warm and cozy with room for all of us. Thanks for the decorations and recommendations for dineer too. The hamburgers at Sue's were great. Like we talked about, we hope to have the whole family back when its time for water skiing. Not what I expected

Guest: sarah (birmingham, al)
Date of Stay: 11/24/10 Review Submitted: 11/29/10

I was very disappointed in the cabin. Our first impression was that it was not clean and in need of several repairs. I don't mind rustic but when the carpet is dirty and very worn that is something else;you walk on the floors and socks turn brown.Everywhere you looked there was something in need of repair. Location of pool table prevents playing from all angles. It was listed as a 5 bedroom but the lower level had 6 twin beds in two rooms connected. The fire ring is nothing more than a place in the back yard that has had a fire. The grill area on the deck is covered in ash and grease. I would not recommend this cabin.

Owner response:It is our policy to address all questions or concerns. We live within five miles of the cabin and all renters have our cell number. Having been at the cabin when the renter arrived early, I greeted them as I completed servicing the hot tub. They seemed perfectly happy with the cabin. Receiving a request for pool cue chalk and batteries within an hour of their arrival, the same was immediately delivered. The cabin is located in the woods and in the fall, there will be leaves on the porch. When the renter complained that they had had to resweep the porch, I offered to bring them a full refund. The declined and elected to continue their vacation. Having not heard anything further, I was unaware of their dissatisfaction. The cabin is serviced by the owners. We want our guests to enjoy their experience. I know that the cabin is clean -- I vacum out the stove. We have this cabin available for family and friends and when it is not in use, it is available for rent. We maintain it in excellent condition. This guest was offered the opportunity to receive a full refund.

We really enjoyed the cabin. The walk down to the lake was beautiful. The pictures from the web site did not do the place justice. We will look this cabin up again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place."
