Sitting as the Crown Jewel in the heart of downtown Missoula, the Historic Wilma Building will provide a unique and luxurious lodging experience for you and your family. This 6th floor, North-East, corner loft was dramatically transformed in 2008. In keeping with the effort to restore and enliven this 1921 building, the loft has been decorated and furnished to pay tribute to the beautiful Montana surroundings. Hardwood floors and lush furniture fill the living room, complete with a walnut and granite fireplace nook. Striking photographs of western Montana's beauty adorn the walls. But the panoramic views through six over-sized windows are really what make this space so special.

The fully renovated Glacier Loft has been designed to accommodate multiple sleeping areas to provide privacy and flexible usage. The master bedroom (queen bed) has a private master bath with a beautiful walk-in slate shower. The second bathroom also has a tub/shower and is within easy access of the living room sleeping area – featuring an American Leather queen comfort sleeper (truly amazing). While you cook in the fully equippd kitchen, family and friends can gather around the large kitchen island and enjoy the views of Mount Sentinel, Mount Jumbo and the Clark Fork River. We have even included a dishwasher so no one has to fight about doing the dishes while you are on vacation. However, if you want to pass on kitchen duty, there is a gourmet restaurant in the building as well as many other unique cuisine choices within easy walking distance.

The luxurious furniture in the elevated living room creates the best people-watching-perch in Missoula, gazing straight up Missoula’s bustling Higgins Ave (perfect for parades). We will provide all fresh, luxury linens and towels at the beginning of your stay. There are laundry facilities located in the building. You will also have a washer/dryer combo at your finger tips in the master suite. For our extended stay guests, weekly linen and cleaning service is provided.

And best of all...Location! Location! Location! Within easy walking distance you will enjoy access to festivals, Caras Park, the Clark Fork River trail system, downtown boutique shopping, Missoula's finest restaurants, the Carousel, Farmer’s Market, Missoula Art Museum, Library, Children’s Museum, as well as the University of Montana Campus – you just can’t beat this ‘central-to-everything’ location. We will even provide a mountain bike so you can get around in true Missoula style.

We are family friendly and can provide extra amenities as needed (booster seat, pack-n-play, books, toys, etc.). We are also happy to offer personal shopping services if you would like the kitchen stocked or a gift basket waiting.

Your 6th floor view of the Rattlesnake Wilderness Area, Clark Fork River and Missoula’s vibrant downtown will keep you coming back for more. Please, be our guest.

Downtown Missoula - 6th Floor Suite - the Finest in Town

Year Purchased: 2007

Why the Owner Chose Missoula

I am a Missoula native who grew up performing on the stage of the Historic Wilma Theatre, as did my four siblings. I can't imaging the number of evenings my parents spent in this building watching ballet recitals, music concerts and plays. Our family has a deep love and long relationship with this building. When the building was bought in 2007 and the condo conversion took place, my family collectively bought four units. What a thrill for us - to own a piece of the Wilma. The building is iconic in this community and full of charm. The payback of a long, expensive and arduous renovation process comes each time I open the door for a new guest. People are always delightfully surprised and overwhelmed by the beauty, inside and out. I can't blame them, the Wilma is simply the best in town for location, amenities and luxury. You would be a fool to go to a hotel.

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium

My husband and I live exactly seven minutes from the Wilma Building, and yes we do vacation here. I don't always want to leave Missoula when vacationing, I love Missoula. I just want to leave my laundry and my children and my piles of clutter and...you get the idea.
We feel like we are a million miles away when we hide out at the Wilma Building. Because of the 6th floor view our perspective changes. My vision was to create a space honoring the elegance of Montana, without having to use dead animal parts or towels with bears and bison on them.
I love hanging out in the Glacier Loft because it is nicer than my own home but still feels 'homey; luxurious and cozy at the same time. The us of slate, marble and beautiful woods are matched with fluffy pillows, a down comforter and high thread count sheets - yummy.
But the real gem of this space is the layout and masterful kitchen, perfect for gathering groups. We have hosted many events with 15-30 people, comfortably. In fact, it is such a great place to entertain, many local groups now rent it as a space to host board meetings, fundraising events and special parties. Choose it for yourself and then share it with your community.

Owner's Map of Missoula

This is Patrick and Sophia - they are not exactly the owner's, but they might as well be. We stepped into the Vacation Rental Business as a way to start planning for their future. We refer to the them as the President and Vice President of all our operations. Let's face it, kids are small, but mighty, when it comes to life force. My name is Karen and I claim these rascals as my own and their daddy is Michael. Together we all bask in the high life of Missoula. I am a professional speaker and business consultant. My husband is the Program Director for Montana Public Radio. We think of the Wilma properties as our 'hobby business'.
This is my shameless plea to you: please do us a favor and help out Patrick and Sophia's college fund by renting from us. If you have to sleep with someone, you might as well sleep with us - so to speak.

    • I have rented the Glacier Loft twice now, once for a company holiday party. It was a really wonderful place for our event, it had the classy feel of downtown, yet a really comfortable homey feel with the kitchen and the wonderful furnishings. We had close to 50 people come through our open house and it was comfortable, beautiful and memorable-- everything we wanted our event to be! The second time was for a little romantic getaway for my husband and I. We live in Missoula and it was such a treat to have a get away without leaving town. We had dinner downstairs at Scotty's Table and tucked in the Glacier Loft for the night. It is the best in town vacation!

    • The Glacier Loft is the perfect place to stay in Missoula. The condo has everything you need for a relaxing visit -- fantastic kitchen, comfortable seating area and luxurious bed. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the condo's large windows and the closeness to shops and the great riverfront park next door. Parking is no problem since you have a reserved parking spot just out the door from the building. We were here in August of 2009 for 3 days and wished we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend the Glacier Loft.

    • We rented the suite for my father during a visit, and have nothing but positive things to say. Proximity to everything, a wonderful combination of spacious comfort and high-end design, and ease of all rental coordination made this the perfect choice. We will definitely be choosing the suite again for future visits, and would recommend it a "can't miss" choice for short or long-term accommodations.

    • What A View with lots of windows! A Fabulous place right in the middle of it all. In downtown Missoula within walking distance to everything from shopping to restuarants, and even the University. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable and roomy. We are a family of four and will stay here again on our next trip to Missoula. Loved it. The Royals

    • We rented this condo unit in the middle of August and we loved it. With the windows open to wonderful views and the convenience of walk-to shopping, it reminded us of being in a small town in Europe. The living and kitchen areas were spacious enough to have our extended family over for lunch to dine on all the goodies from the two farmer's markets located nearby. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
