For anyone wanting to stay in Venice I would highly recommend staying in an apartment. We were met by Helaina and escorted to the apartment, she was very helpful in getting us settled in and showing us where the closest square was located. The square closest to the apartment has a supermarket and a few restaurants. The location is away from the main tourist areas so it is nice and quiet when you get back to the apartment. The apartment is very nice, it is clean and very comfortable. Alfonso keeps the building very well maintained. We had no complaints. I would recommend buying a map of Venice and having lots of patience and fun getting lost. I don't think you've experienced Venice unless you get lost :) Great apartment, I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

My family of 11 just stayed in Casa dei Pittori- We occupied two apartments- Ca' Guardi and Ca' Tiziano. The apartments are fantastic, very comfortable and modern. The neighborhood had very few tourists and we had a chance to observe the daily lives of Venetians - The local square was fabulous - several cafes,supermarket and pastry shop. Walking distance To St Marks and to the no 1 vaporetto. Alfonso was very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend these apartments!
