There are many reasons why Portofino is such a popular vacation resort.
1. The Marina location is superb. We are right next to the 5 star Marriott Hotel. The Marina is home to the best 5 star hotels, Marriott, Velas and The Westin. Town is 15 min away, and the airport is 10 min away. The 18 hole golf course is across the street. The 400 slip Marina is a 5 min. walk, with a romantic boardwalk, shops, markets and restaurants galore. The area is residential, so it is quiet, Bus and taxi service is at the front door.
2. The resort is very luxurious. Spread over 12 acres of manicured gardens, and on the clean sandy beach which stretches for 3 miles. All the services of a first class resort are here. Tennis courts on the premises, a gym, security, parking, an enormous pool on the sand, showers, food and bar by the pool, private thatched roofs for the guests on the beach. The ocean is always calm and the beach is never crowded. You can walk up and down the beach and stop in at about 4 romantic beachfront hotel restaurants that are 5 min. away.
3. The unit is fully furnished and elegantly decorated by the discriminating owners. It's on the 10th floor of the NORTH tower (unit #1002 North). It offers free internet Wifi, a laundry room, 3 bedrooms, a huge terrace for outdoor dining, phone, fax, a maid twice a week (included), a 24/7 manager to help you, dining for 8, fully loaded kitchen and an ocean/city view to die for. It can be rented as a 2 bedroom or a 3 bedroom.

The most relaxing vacation I've ever had. Very hard to leave that balcony and head down to the pool or beach! The unit is clean and well-equipped. One week was not enough time. The weather was perfect, much better than we ever expected. The area is very quiet, but easy to walk to surrounding restaurants or to catch a taxi.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.
