Whatever the weather, this 20m2 studio is flowed with light. Its 2 larges windows open on roofs and courtyards of the neighborhood.

The studio in on the 4th floor of a typical Montmartre building. It is very calm, no street noise. It offers a real double bed (not a sofa bed), a kitchen bar and a nicely designed bathroom.

The floor is made of traditional oak. The studio was entirely refurbished this winter. It is a very nice place for 2 and could accommodate a young kid additionally (ask for it).

As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and australia are generaly free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. More over, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.

The studio is located in the inner Montmartre, Les abbesses. The trendy part of Montmartre is just down the street : many restaurants, shops and nice café terraces. The ABBESSES subway station is 2mn walk.

The Sacre Coeur and its gardens are 3 mn walk. There is a nice little square just around the corner (square burcq). This location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

Last point, we are staying 1 block away.

We are here if you need help, but do not worry, we will not be intrusive.

Perfect for two people

Jean-Noel, Thanks for all your organization. It made the experience truly stress-free! We enjoyed our stay at Tholoze, everything was fine. All the instructions were clearly outlined. We came in at midnight, extremely tired and didn’t have any troubles. The apartment was perfect for two people. I had to do some work while there and the wireless worked extremely well. The land line phone was also handy for calling in to some work conference calls and not incurring international charges for my mobile phone. We liked that the location was quiet and not on a busy road, yet was accessible to the metro and thus everywhere in Paris. There were plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance of the apartment so you didn’t have to leave the neighborhood if you didn’t want to. We went to have dinner “Chez Toinette”, and were not disappointed. We wanted to try another one that got great reviews, “La Porte Des Anges”, but arrived too late for dinner one night. They had excellent Stella Artois on tap though, way better than in the U.S. It was nice to have a kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. This helped tremendously on expenses. When we did go out though it was nice to feel like one of the locals. We enjoyed not feeling like a tourist on our vacation. A couple words of caution on the taxis: Do not accept a taxi right outside the baggage claim at CDG. Their rates were almost double (and were probably not a legitimate taxi service). Go to the designated taxi area outside the terminal. A great experience. If we ever find ourselves in Paris again, we’ll definitely rent an apartment as opposed to staying in a hotel. Thanks J-N!

This suite fit the bill for my husband and I during our stay in Paris this fall. Just to provide some context to our comments - we are in our sixties and stayed in Paris for a week. The suite was clean and well organized, bright and comfortable. The entry way to the block was somewhat delapidated and the climb up the five flights is not for those who have heavy bags or heart conditions, but in general 22 Tholoze provided an affordable, accessible and fairly quiet place for us to land each day. Food stores, cafes and transportation all within a 10 minute radius. Clear, printed instructions were provided for everything related to the suite. We had occasion to contact JNoel on one occasion while were there and he was extremely pleasant and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending this rental unit provided that you have strong legs and a reasonable cardiovascular health.

Perfect, affordable base for a memorable Paris visit

InBeauParis's Montmartre studio apartment is the ideal location from which to explore Paris. The apartment is cozy, charming, and quiet, with all the essentials for cooking and comfort. Although the studio is four flights up a spiral staircase, the climb is not difficult and the light at the top is well worth the effort. Although all of Paris is easily accessible from this apartment via two close Metro stops--Blanche and Abbesses--I found myself constantly wanting to return to Montmartre in the afternoon, where all one needs for a lovely stay is available steps from the studio: markets, bakeries, cafes and restaurants, as well as the most atmospheric evening walks anyone could ever want. Perfect for solo travelers and couples.

A wonderful way to visit Paris

I highly recommend renting this apartment for your Parisian vacation. The aprtment itself is small but comfortable, perfect for two people but also roomy enough for a family with a small child. My boyfriend and I stayed in this flat for a week, and were truly satisfied and happy with our choice. Overall it is a much better choice than a hotel, allowing freedom and indipendence, and also allows to get a feel for the true parisian lifestyle. The apartment is modern, full of all amenities needed (only one suggestion: bring a blowdrier from home!), warm and cozy. The location is great, but I do not recommended it for an older couple, as the flat is located up a short hill (it is the Montmartre area after all); younger or more agile guests will enjoy the brief walk up, though, as it follows a street with many little cafes, shops and restaurants. Should this not be the flat for you, I still recommend choosing one of Jean Noel and his wife's apartments, as there were absolutely no (bad) surprises: the payment methods were simple and straightforward, our deposit was returned within two days of our departure, and even the system for obtaining the keys is well thought out and convenient. When entering the apartment you are greeted by a very helpful instruction sheet, which very clearly guides you in reference to everything from appliances and wifi connection to how to leave the apartment at the end of your stay. All in all, a beautiful little place, with very helpful and professional owners, in a truly marvellous city. Thank you again, Emma and Emanuele

Dear Jean Noel, The stay in Tholoze apartment in Montmartre was great. 4 weeks is a long time to be in one place - but the desk, large windows, and cute space was more than adequate. I enjoyed the Studio Loft style living of a Montmartre artist and got a great workout climbing the 4 flights of stairs. Tholoze street was fantastic with very hip bar 'Prohibido' at the bottom of the block, and other great restaurants on near-by streets. Laundry facilities were even less than 5 minutes away. Thanks again for the facilities - even though we never met you were very helpful answering my questions over the telephone. Good luck with this and your other rentals! Tobias

I would like to drop a note to thank you for a wonderful stay at 22 Rue Tholoze. Gary and I enjoyed our week in Paris, with the apartment really at a suitable location to both buses and metro into various sights and attractions. We went up to the Sacre-Couere a total of 3 times, getting a beautiful view of the city spread out below. Did you know that you can get a full view of the 10pm “light-up” of the Tour Eiffel from a corner of the Sacre-Couere? We especially enjoyed the crepe at the shop down the road and the choice of fruit and fromagerie shops allowed us to try out some wonderful cheeses. I am discussing with my kids on whether to return to Paris in late November, and would get in touch with you again if we decide on Paris. Until then, many thanks for the wonderful stay!. Regards

My husband and I decided to spend a week in Paris for my 30th birthday and reserved Jean Noel's flat in Montmartre. It was my first time to Paris and from the bright and sunny photos we knew that we would really enjoy staying there on Rue Tholoze. It was simply wonderful! Neither of us felt the need to try to squeeze in all of the tourist destinations and decided to slow down from our busy lives in London; we wanted to try to get to know Montmartre as best we could in a week while still seeing a few of the sites downtown. The location of the flat is truly ideal - we walked the quick five minutes to Sacre Coeur on our first night and it was amazing to see the cathedral illuminated and the city-scape sparkling below us. An incredible first impression. In the morning we would head to the boulangerie around the corner for a baguette, stop for some fresh fruit and vegetables, grab some juice and cook breakfast in the flat. Unless we went to the charming cafe just near the Abbesses metro station for bowls of cafe au lait and amazing almond croissants! The area is lively, yet relaxing and romantic, and the flat is situated perfectly to take advantage of everything nearby: Studio 28, a great little cinema is just a few steps away, a fantastic wine bar and a fromagerie are around the corner on Rue des Abbesses, and there are lots of Velib stations nearby for an adventure. The metro stations are all quite close so going to the Louvre, the Tour Eiffel, the Jardin du Luxembourg, and other sites in the city is quite easy - a nice walk or bike ride from Montmartre too if you have the energy! More than anything, the people in the area were so welcoming and friendly, eager to speak French with us and quite relaxed and easy-going. From the man selling fruit and vegetables to the waitress at the bar, people in Montmartre seemed content and the energy was contagious. As we went to sleep in the flat at night with the shuttered windows wide open, we often heard the sounds of a dinner party below; the warm laughter, the tinkling of wine glasses and the smell of delicious food lasted late into the night. We truly felt as if we became a part of it all, thanks in large part to the beautiful little flat at 22 Rue Tholoze. I hope this is of help to you! Thank you again - we had an amazing stay

We are two friends from Ontario, Canada. We spent 6 nights at the Tholoze apartment in Paris. Jean-Noel gave great, descriptive directions, and we found it with no problems at all. The apartment itself was perfect. It was clean, modern, bright, and full of character. We especially loved the Frommers guide to Paris left on the shelf; never went a day without it! We truly felt like we were LIVING in Paris for the week. The neighbourhood was a perfect mix of locals, tourists and expats. The highlight was that we were in between 3 different Metro stops, making trips to any destination fast and easy -though Montmartre is so precious, it was hard to venture out to the noisy, expensive centre of town. The payment through PayPal was a breeze. The security deposit was returned asap. We would not return to Paris without contacting Jean-Noel. Our tastes and needs are simple, and this apt. met them all. Thank you so much! Sincerely,
