How better to experience our island than by renting from an owner who has combined her own personal getaway with the conveniences of home and the leisurely delights of a vacation in the sun. My home is located on lovely Ma’alaea Bay, winter time sanctuary to many humpback whales and their calves. A favorite pastime of residents is reclining on a lounger watching the antics of our oceanic friends.
Just to the west of us is Ma’alaea Marina, home to many yachts and touring boats and the Ma’alaea Village shops. Off to the east is the long sandy span of Sugar Beach, perfect for early morning beach walking. Several good eateries are located within walking distance including one of Maui’s top award winning seafood restaurants, The Waterfront. The renowned Maui Ocean Center aquarium is only steps away. All in all, this central location is within easy reach of the sights and attractions of Maui.
My condo at the Ma’alaea Kai is an oceanfront walkout. Newly renovated, it embraces the ambiance of the islands with the luxury and comfort of a perfect vacation getaway. Both pool and grilling area are only steps from the lanai against the backdrop of the ocean views and the sounds of the waves and the breezes in the palm trees.
I would love to share my getaway with you. It gives me great pleasure to have others experience the exquisite gem that is Maui. Its setting, its rainforests, mountains, beaches, upcountry adventures, and the underwater world to explore, make Maui truly magical.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Ma'alaea Bay is an unbelievable area.....it is serene and the ability to just relax,read,listen to the sounds of the ocean, watch the whales, and just be....has been a must for me. I searched the island before I bought this unit and found nothing to compare. It is away from the hustle and bustle of people and cars, yet is a short drive to all areas of the island. Come and see for yourself!
The condo is in a very central location for almost any destination on the island. It is guiet and the oceanfront view is incredable
There is a gas station within walking distance, next door is a great miniture golf course and a Hardies for a quick bite for dinner.
Within blocks is some of the best food on the island. The small deli is a great place to get wine,the basic groceries and fresh fish right off the boats. The marina is there for charters of all kinds.

Aloha, I started my career as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines in 1972 and
after 37 years I am retiring. Maui was my favorite destination and it still is. I was fortunate to have had the ability to fly there numerous times a year to escape the Minneasota winters. Sharing my home away from home on wonderful Maui is a joy to me.

Excellent location away from the crowds and traffic but able to access any part of the island with ease. We were pleasently suprized at how well stocked the condo was with normal household items such as toilet paper and laundry soap. It was evident the owner takes great pride in this unit by the decorations, furnishings and cleanlyness. The entire building was well maintained and the grounds immaculate. Having never done this before we were a little hesitant but it is all and more than advertised. Will be staying here again.

We could not have chosen a more perfect condo for our first trip to Maui; it fit us perfectly for the two weeks we were there. Stocked with everything we might have needed, the owner has gone to great lengths to make certain no one goes without. But beyond the necessities, is the beautifully decorated space; my husband and I both agreed we could live there forever. Being on the ground floor gave us easy access to that lush lawn and allowed us to watch the surfers up close and personal! There surely is no better place to celebrate an anniversary and we most certainly will return to that very condo! It was perfect.

Nice, clean , quiet. Your every need anticipated. Loved to grill steps from the Lanai with the setting sun as your distraction. Never swam from the beach but enjoyed the pool after a day of sightseeing. Bed was very comfy. Could use better lighting in some areas but overall a great place! d

Barb the owner has really gone the extra mile to have her renters feel at home.Her condo is well stocked with everything you would need for cooking,grilling,and going to the beach.Condo has a tropical feel, with Hawaiian furnature and beautiful colors and exceptionally clean.Whale watching from the Lanai while having dinner was one of my favorites .This ground floor condo lets you walk right out to the golf coarse (like) lawn and to the pool.Condo is centrally located to the rest of the Island. The only sad thing about this condo is when you have to leave to go home. We are coming back next winter to be in Paradise again. I would highly recomend this condo , it is the REAL DEAL.

What a wonderful surprise this place is. Away from the crowded tourist areas, it defines what we were looking for in our Maui vacation. The setting is exquisite, the condo location ideal and the interior of the unit itself gives you the feeling the you are truly living in an exotic vacation getaway. We first stepped in the door after dark and immediately felt welcomed. What gorgeous decor! The kitchen granite, the island furniture, the tropical bathroom, the cozy bedroom...all made us feel we had arrived in paradise. Little did we know what we would see in the morning when we opened the drapes to the lanai. The palm trees, flowers and the ocean view. It draws you outside, easy access since you are on the ground floor, and you really know this is paradise. Wow! We saw whales in the bay, watched sailboats coming and going in the marina and basked in the sunshine. Later we used the grill and ate our dinner on the lanai. Close by is the Ocean Center and the shops of Ma'alea with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. With a car it is easy to visit west or south Maui and really anyplace else on the island. It's quiet and beautiful and perfect for our idea of vacationing. It's easy to contact the owner if needed and she is accommodating and helpful. We have stayed in more expensive locales, but none better than this one. If this one is available, we would advise you to count yourself very lucky and reserve it. It's our Maui secret getaway!

We just returned from our stay at this delightful condo. It was so warm and inviting. The owner has done a wonderful job decorating with beautiful colors and a playful theme throughout. My husband (who usually never comments on such things) went on and on about how cute this place was. The owner has clearly gone to great lengths to include lots of extras for her guests including everything we needed for cooking, and bar-b-queing. Items for our many trips to the beach were also available. We loved the beach chairs and used them several times. We had a fantastic view of the ocean and the mountains from the LR, and really enjoyed the fabulous view. We highly recommend this wonderful condo and hope to return soon!

I have never written a review before of any kind BUT this condo is absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word. The furnishings were very nice, incredible kitchen, nice bedroom, open the curtains and BOOM there is an incredible view of ocean and mountain across the bay. Absolutely perfect!! I feel like God gave us a piece of paradise for two weeks. It was restorative, restful, energizing and great conversation between my wife and I. If this tells you anything, my wife cried when we had to leave. If you're like us, it's a big deal to book something after only looking at pictures and a brief video... This place is worth every penny. Spotless, every kitchen accessory you could imagine, nice bedroom, pleasant breeze, but air conditioning should you be so inclined, back patio even has a fan. Centrally located to the rest of the island. The owner clearly takes pride in her condo and seems to enjoy the fact that others enjoy her property! Enjoy a piece of paradise.

We loved our stay at this beautifully decorated condo located just steps away from the ocean. The owner has thoughtfully supplied her quests with everything imaginable to help them have a great vacation. It is a quiet and peaceful area and yet it is centrally located to easily visit many of the Maui beaches. Really, we could not imagine staying anywhere else on Maui.
