This location was awesome!! This house was well maintained and clean. It was right in Kawela. It has 3 separate bedrooms, a full laundry room and a fully equipped kitchen. One stop to Walmart on our way there and we had plenty of food for our stay, even though we enjoyed many meals at the local eateries. The house also had a comfy living area, a deck with a bbq and eating area, not to mention the beautiful large yard with panoramic ocean views. Best of all, just three steps down from the lawn was the private beach. This house met all of our needs, highest on our list was relaxing on the beach. I would say that there is no better place on the island to do just that! The owner was so helpful and had all the best tips and recommendations! Must do's when staying here: paddle boarding or kayaking in the bay, Matsumoto's Shave Ice in Haleiwa, Polynesian Cultural Center, Chocolate Haupia Pie at Ted's Bakery, and Romy's Shrimp Truck just past the Turtle Bay Resort on Kam Hwy. After looking at all the other listings in this area, you will definitely get the biggest bang for your buck at this property and then so much more!! I have already recommended this place to my family and friends.

Our family stayed at this property in 2008. It's simply beautiful. Comfortable, very clean with lots of room for a family of five (three of which were teens). Beach is only steps away. The sunsets were breath taking. Owner was wonderful and extremely helpful with tips from best time's to go site-seeing (less crowds) to finding shopping treasures and a local farmers market. It is a beautiful quiet location, perfect for those wanting to get away from the "crowd", yet close enough to satisfy our "shopping teens" in Haleiwa; as well as big beach playing and swimming with the resident sea turtle at Waimea Bay. Numerous beaches line the Kamehameha highway en-route to this property from Honolulu. Our teenage children loved coming "home" to this property after a day of site-seeing and time spent in Waikiki. In fact, they preferred the North Shore overall. For us, it was truly a paradise found. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
