This cabin got 5 stars from us because of its charming, cozy, comfortable nature and beautiful lake view. This cabin was right on the water with a boat slip and private beach just a short walk away, and you truly cannot find another cabin with these ammenities at this price. It was spacious, especially the master bedroom, and it also clean and updated bathrooms. The front deck is huge with a wonderful view of the lake right where you eat. After reading reviews from others about the cabin lacking amenities, such as BBQ tools, etc, we just brought our own and everything was fine. There are now actually two charcoal BBQs on the deck to choose from. The cabin does lack certain ammenities such as towels and bed linens, but the price accomades that and it was no big deal bringing a few of those things, especially with the Pines Resort Market so close by in case we needed something. We will definitely come back here on our next summer vacation. Thank you!

We just returned from a week at this property. We have mixed reviews. You can't beat the view as far as the cost. It is in a great location and quiet. We enjoyed taking morning walks and going to the Pines Market and Ducey's throughout our stay. Our visit coincided with the end of the summer season. I'm not sure if that was the reason for the soiled carpeting or not. However, it was in need of a good shampoo. Although the kitchen tops were clean, I felt like all the utencils were old and well-used. The cupboards seemed unclean and in need of some TLC. The vacuum cleaner did not work well and the broom should have been replaced a long time ago. I know it is a cabin and rustic in nature, but the kitchen lacked some amenities. The bathrooms were in very nice condition and the master bedroom is huge. The swamp cooler worked great considering it was not "air conditioning". The outside decks were wonderful for entertaining, but there were no barbeque utensils, so we had to improvise. Everyone's expectations are different, but I just expected more inside since it seemed to meet our needs from the outside.

Enjoyable, Affordable, Cosy Cabin by Bass Lake

The pictures of this property don't do it justice--it's a homey cabin with plenty of room inside and a quaint feel to it. There's a picnic table on the deck for enjoying some time outside, and a cute little livingroom/kitchen area inside. Despite the feeling that you are off in the woods by the lake, it's only a minute away from the little grocery store at the lake, and close enough to Oakhurst for any other major needs. The only downside we found was that the dock it comes with is not the one in front of the house, but is down the street a little, though this was no huge pain. Most importantly of all, the rental agent (Carole) helped us every step of the way--calling us with the key code on our way up to the cabin and even tracking down a BBQ for us to use when one was not apparent. She was super helpful and made the whole trip run smoothly. It was an overall very good experience and I would recommend it to friends for sure!
