Fantastic!

I reviewed many listings before applying for this Deep Hollow property. Goodness gracious! How lucky I feel that we got such a wonderful place to stay. My family members were patting me on the back for finding this vacation property. The description does not do it justice. It is located on what appears to be very old farmland that was cleared of rocks. The rocks were piled up in long, neat stacks around the fields that are just wreaking of antiquity. The area has long been out of use as farmland and is now overgrown with beautiful forest. We saw and heard groups of wild turkey. Two bucks roamed nearby. There is a stream that courses along the front of the house. It was just gorgeous. The house itself is extremely spacious and beautiful with a main floor, upstairs and downstairs. The floor plan is ideal. There are 3 entrances. 2 off the main floor and 1 from the downstairs. The downstairs is a wide open area with game table & chairs, big screen TV, another refrigerator, futon, laundry room, pellet stove for winter use. The kids loved the downstairs because it gave them plenty of elbow room. The main floor is wide open also. It's finished in natural knotty pine. The furniture is plush and comfortable. I could of been mistaken but the super comfy hide-a-bed couch was real leather. All the beds were firm and like new, better than most hotel beds I've slept in. The deck was wide. It had numerous chairs and tables, a propane grill and charcoal grill. The hot tub was unexpected but holy moly did I love soaking my old bones in that thing. Kitchen had all the necessities. Nice new large refrigerator, dishwasher, lots of cabinet and counter space, tile floor. The air conditioning kept the whole place more than comfortable. Each bedroom has it's own window unit and a ceiling fan. The entire house was also very tastefully decorated. I had an old grandfather clock in my room. I loved this place. The upstairs is a loft. Very roomy and spacious and private. There is a full bath upstairs and downstairs. My sister and her daughter slept upstairs. I only went up there a few times. My neice was happy to have a desk and chair where she could access the internet with the WiFi on her laptop. Nobody had any complaints from top to bottom. Dingman's Falls is only maybe 2 miles from the house. It's a really short hike into it from the back way. If you have never seen Dingman's Falls you must go! I can't say enough!

An awesome weekend

My wife and I (and our dog) spent this past weekend at this wonderful home. The weekend was awesome! The home is beautiful and the grounds are even better. We were comfortable both inside the air conditioned house and when sitting by the pond (even though temps outside reached 100 degrees). You cannot imagine how relaxing it is sitting in those two chairs by the pond and listening to the water flow over the dam while our dog played in the woods and in the pond. We cannot wait to go back!

We just returned from a wonderful week in this log chalet. Everything about the home was wonderful. Such a peaceful setting, it was easy to forget about our busy lives and just relax. Everyone agreed we would love to stay here again. We all enjoyed the hot tub too. Our dog thought we chose this home just for him since he was in swimming at the pond everyday. We also enjoyed having campfires in the evenings. All in all - the perfect week!

We stayed Friday-Sunday for a "NO KIDS" weekend away from it all...and it was just PERFECT!!!! The house was clean, all the bedrooms had extra pillows and blankets. The fireplace in the LR was easy to use and was the heating system for the entire home (there were easy to follow directions printed near all of the controls). The outdoor hot tub on the deck was AWESOME and easy to use --- and what a view of the stars at night. The surrounding wooded areas were great for playing in the snow. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us we had a great time and are checking our calendars to coordinate our next visit!

My husband and I stayed in this cabin for a week with our two golden retrievers. I was even surprised by myself getting so relaxed and feeling refreshed as soon as we arrived at the site. This beautifully constructed cabin was surrounded by tall pine trees all around with a beautiful stream running right in front of the cabin. We could have such a wonderful and stress-free getaway vacation there. We all miss the time we spent there already!
