Our family of four stayed at Chokoloskee and we loved it! Kids were absolutely fascinated with birds fishing in the bay right next to the property. I loved an open floor plan and cozy decor. We can definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to escape hectic urban life and enjoy seeing abundant wildlife and beautiful, peaceful sunsets.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Great location, 2 min from the dock and we even caught fish on the full moon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My wife and I stayed in this VRBO last week (Jan, 11) and found the place and the surroundings to be precisely as described above. The owner was very attentive before and during out stay, and helped us get set up fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands, which was the purpose of our trip. Gorgeous weather and place. Very comfortable condo, large enough for two couples or one small family. Beds good, kitchen fully equipped, clean.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

About the owner: This free-standing condo has been in our family since 1978, purchased by my father who was an avid fisherman. Our family vacations consisted of coming to Chokoloskee, fishing from sunrise to sunset and enjoying the beauty of the Florida Everglades. Ever since we could walk, my father would bring my brother and I here as often as he could. When our father passed away in 2006, I purchased it to be sure it was kept in our family so we would always be able to relive the moments we spent here as children. Not only has this place given our family some of our greatest memories, but it will always be known as our father's favorite home away from home.
