Frenchman Condominiums. This new complex is located in the heart of Ketchum just blocks from the downtown core. The complex includes an underground parking garage. This complex is conveniently located near downtown Ketchum, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, galleries and more! The area offers a free shuttle that picks up just a couple blocks away, which will transport you to both ski lifts on Bald Mountain, down town Ketchum, Sun Valley resort and Elkhorn resort. Sun Valley has added a new gondola on the River Run side of Bald Mountain scheduled to open November 2009.
Lodging Features: This new, upscale Frenchman condo is located in the heart of Ketchum just blocks from the downtown core. This designer property features hardwood floors, alder doors, granite counters and central heat and A/C. Guests will find the best of electronic equipment, including wireless internet to round out this package. The western windows and decks have unobstructed views of Bald Mountain. Elegance abounds with the entire unit being on one level and an open floor plan providing a spacious feeling.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless appliances and a laundry room is located off the kitchen with a full washer and dryer. The dining area seats 4 with additional seating for 2 at the granite breakfast counter. The living room has unsurpassed views of Bald Mountain and has a cozy gas fireplace for those cool nights. You can enjoy the 42' flat panel TV/DVD/CD stereo in the living room also. The heated deck has a gas BBQ, bistro table and chairs and a private 2 person hot tub. The Master bedroom has a Queen Bed, 15' flat panel TV/DVD/CD and walk-in closet along with full views of Bald Mountain. The bathroom is located across the hall from the Master bedroom and has a sunken, jetted tub with shower and travertine tiled floors and countertops. There is a den/guest bedroom off the kitchen that has a Queen bed that can accommodate two guests. The unit sleeps six with a queen sofa sleeper for extra guests.
There are lockers at the base of the Mt to store your skis and boots so you can hop on the free shuttle bus or take a stroll over to the River Run side of Baldy. The bike path runs north for 10 miles and south for 16 miles along the Big Wood River with great scenery to take in as you ride or walk. It is groomed in the winter for Nordic Skiing and is also available to ski on to get to the lifts. All you need to bring for your vacation with us in Sun Valley is a change of clothes and to go grocery shopping when you get here. Please bring a hair dryer as most of our condos do not have them. All linens are provided for you and we supply soap for the bath and kitchen as well as towels.

We had a great experience at this condo. So much better than a hotel. Really nice inside, comfy bed in master bedroom and really easy walk to downtown. The owner was very responsive and helpful when we needed a little assistance with the internet connection. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was top rate. We did not need a car, got a shuttle from the airport and walked or took the free bus everywhere else. The bus stops near the condo and takes you right to River Run for skiing. This is a perfect spot for a couple. Would also work great if you are bringing a child. Would work for two couples if you don't mind sharing a bathroom. We also loved the little hot tub on the deck and Grumpys is right across the street for lunch and a couple of beers. Its also a short walk to the Ketchum Grill for a nice dinner. All in all a great spot and we will rent again when we return to Sun Valley!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Perfect location for walking around Ketchum in the snow - very well appointed modern 800 sq. ft.condo (with festive Xmas decorations our week!! ); excellent well equipped kitchen; gorgeous view, and fun furnishings - we never used the balcony, but it contained a hot tub, a grill ,and small table with chairs. The owner was super nice to work with ....We will return !Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

Very nice condo, highly recommended. Park your vehicle (underground) and walk to town. We visited during slack season, and even though Grumpy's was packed inside, the noise was a non-issue. Very responsive host. Can't wait to visit again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

The decor in this condo is awesome - great combo of modern/funky art and rustic elegance. Beautiful bathroom and kitchen. The pictures online really don't do this place justice (usually it's the other way around!). Great view of Bald Mountain from the patio and the two seater hot-tub is a great addition and was bigger than I had expected. The condo and entire property it's located on is very clean and well kept. Perfect distance to town as well. Within 5 minutes you really can walk to just about anywhere in Ketchum. Fun town and very easy to navigate on foot. I would highly recommend this property and would love to stay again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Lovely condo in Ketchum, great price and easy owner. Walking distance to town and short drive to Sun Valley, overlooks Bald Mountain so distant scenery is great. Couple of drawbacks, although not deal breakers. Condo overlooks back side of businesses on Warm Springs Rd., especially Grumpy's so there's noise from visitors and bottles being dumped. Also, spa goes on some sort of cycle all day and night, so you wake to sounds of spa running. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, etc. TV operations tough to work, but once working was ok, tho not much selection. Overall very comfortable and quite nice.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Hi Deb, Im glad you had a great time and I appreciate the feed back. I do have Net Flix, VHS, DVDs along with cable TV and I hope that will be enough selection for furture quests. The TV runs threw the receiver and I do have instructions to turn the TV on. Electronics have a way of being confusing so I encourage my quests to call me with any questions. I apologize for the hot tub running so much. If the water level gets low from getting in and out of hot tub the pump will constantly run. If water levels get low in hot tub I ask all quests to call me and I will have the water level restored. The hot tub is actually very quite. Thank you again and I hope that you will come and stay with me in the future. John :)

My family stayed at the Frenchman's Condo for 8 nights. The condo is very comfortable and well appointed. We felt so at home. The condo is within steps to the shuttle bus that takes you to Bald or Dollar Mountains. We were within walking distance of all the fabulous restaurants. Also the place is so quiet. We would certainly come back again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

My friends and I stayed in this condo for President's weekend 2012. What a wonderful town and great place to stay. The location of this condo makes getting around town very easy whether walking or driving. Just a few blocks from the downtown core of Ketchum, I would highly recommend this property to anybody looking to get away in the mountains for a weekend. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that this condo overlooks the infamous Grumpy's bar.Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

My wife and I have stayed at this condo multiple times. It is incredibly decorated and clean with great amenities. We have walked from this condo to our favorite breakfast eatery, Rustic Moose, across the street numerous times. The owner has a wide array of music to choose from to listen while you relax. We also were given a tip from the owner on a restaurant that we would have to try, Vintage, and it ranks up there with the quality of food we have had in five star restaurants in Seattle. We have traveled alot and have rented other condos but this owner has been by far, the best to work with. We are hoping to go back multiple times this year and would highly recommend this condo to even our pickiest friends.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Sun Valley is a getaway for me away to get away from my everyday life. The people of Sun Valley are a uniquie mix of athletic, easy going, friendly old, young and everything in between.
I really enjoy the location of my property and love the character of the building and its residents.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
My property is in a fun location with a scenic view of Bald Mountain. From my balcony hot tub you can watch the groomers groom the ski runs at night. You can walk to the grocery store to dinner or the bar and not have to worry about the drive home or finding a parking spot. Just below the condo is frenchmans gulch Winery stop in for a wine tasting of local wines or if you feel like a beer and burger drop by Grumpy's across the alleyway a fovorite amoung locals. Often in the summer I will take my bike out cross the street onto the biking/walking bath for a relaxing bike ride.
Sun Valley really is a very unique fun location that can be enjoyed by all anytime of year.
