Provincetown apartment description
At high tide the water laps under the huge private deck making you feel almost like you are on a boat. Jump in the water and swim or float away or just sit on the deck and listen to the sound of the water. Or, walk back inside through the wall of glass sliders which make the outdoor space seem to merge with the indoor space. You can see the water from everywhere - the living room, the cute dining nook, the kitchen, the bedroom area, even standing in the large bathroom looking out while you are standing at the sink.
The interior is almost 600 square feet of open space, comfortably and creatively furnished with folk art pieces, the owners' own artwork and nice furniture including a cozy lazyboy and rocker. Sit back and enjoy the sun through the overhead skylight spanning the entire width of the living room and experience the warmth of the wide-plank pine flooring throughout or enjoy the large screen cable TV.
There are electrically-powered shutters for extra privacy and room darkening and a fireplace to take the chill off or for ambiance. The kitchen is gourmet-sized and stocked, featuring a five-burner, stainless-steel stove and new custom tangerine Corian countertop. Eat or cook inside or outside, the choice is yours.
Cozy, warm, inviting, and relaxing, right on the water. Near all the Provincetown activity, but at the same time away from it all. That is what your westend waterfront wonder-studio will offer you.

Most of what was said about this rental is true. Great view, on beach and good bed and kitchen. However, we chose this due to the listing saying that its wheelchair accessible. First of all the walkway is very narrow. Then there is a short lip to get up into the apartment. The worse part is the 4 to 6 inch difference in floor height between the kitchen/bathroom and bedroom/living room. This makes the apartment NOT wheelchair accessible. Also, it is not handicap friendly in that it does not have an ADA approved bathroom. No bars to hold onto etc. We were there on a weekend when Commercial St was closed in that neighborhood. It would have helped to get a warning about that as it was yet another obstacle. WE probably won't return but we might recommend it to others who don't have mobility issues.

Owner response: I was totally surprised by this review since the tenant never mentioned any handicap whatsoever in all our correspondence prior to renting. I have previously rented to various people with disabilities to their complete satisfaction. To me it is obvious that a prospective tenant with a disability would have a conversation in advance to ascertain what idiosyncracies of the apt. might present a problem. As I said, in this case I was never asked. Actually the only minor inconvenience to my mind is the small step up to the kitchen/bathroom which certainly can be negotiated by wheelchair or otherwise with assistance. The shower is huge with a seat; not many apts. with that I would guess. I never maintain that the bathroom is ADA approved nor that the entire apt. is fully ADA or otherwise certified. It is a comfortable apt. and, with some minor assistance, accessible to the disabled and handicapped. Construction in the area was totally beyond my control and not to my liking either but certainly it was possible to drop off people or luggage at the nearby intersection. In short I am sorry that this tenant was not totally satisfied but do not feel that the apt. was misrepresented in any way and that it is incumbent upon anyone with particular needs to communicate that up front to make certain that the apt. is suitable to their needs.
Most amazing sunrise while laying in bed!!
Most amazing sunrise while laying in bed!!
Great location - wonderful Provincetown location. All the conveniences you need to move right in. Well maintained and appointed; the views and the deck amazing. The best sunrise location in all of Ptown - right from the VERY comfortable bed. Would highly recommend this property - the owner excellent to communicate/facilitate with. Thank you!

About the owner: Hi - I'm a retired guy and lovin it. Used to own Gallerani's Cafe so many of you know me as the host with all the crazy outfits. Now I enjoy the luxury of watching the tide come and go, biking, reading, socializing, artwork, travelling, whatever as I choose. And with my boyfriend John. Fortunate indeed. I spend most of the year in Provincetown (upstairs from this rental), winter in my house on Kauai, and the rest here and there.
Why the Owner Chose Provincetown:
I always wanted to live in Ptown for its unique sense of spirit, geography and gay lifestyle.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
On the water in Ptown is fabulous. It's never dull seeing the water at low or high tide and all the activity that goes with it from boating, swimming, etc. in the summer to the birds and weather all year round. Sitting inside and looking through the wall of glass or outside on the enormous deck/pier you have a real feel for being part of the wonderful environment that is right there. And there's a wonderful warmth to the way the property is situated between the two neighboring properties, one of which is the historic Capt. Jack's Wharf.
