From the moment we arrived at the house we were smitten. The house has quintessential Maine curb appeal. And when we walked through the front door we were delighted. The house is bright and airy and has water views from almost every room. The floor to ceiling windows allow you to watch the natural world go by....storms coming and going, birds migrating, buds budding. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need and the dining table is large enough to accommodate a crew. Our kids loved exploring all the nooks and crannies of the house. In fact, on our last day we realized there was a basement. The layout of the house is conducive to traveling with multiple families as there is so much room and even room for folks to have their own space and not feel cramped. Though the house is not exactly in downtown Belfast, it is a very short car ride or moderate length walk from town. It's location did not deter us from enjoying all of Belfast charm. My husband and I were able to enjoy lengthy runs from the house to explore the surrounding area. I could highly recommend this house and hope to get back to Belfast in the summer time to take full advantage of this gorgeous coastal location.Did you find this review helpful? A change of plans brought us unexpectedly back to Maine for the Christmas holiday.... We decided to stay again at this poperty , which we had so enjoyed last October. On a cold and blustery day we let ourselves in to a "real' home that was warm and inviting , and as immaculate as we found in upon our first visit . It was home away from home! ... Thanks for being such great hosts . Everything was so clean and comfortable !... The sun and light are everywhere .
