  We stayed here over Christmas with family from all over the country. There were 8 adults and 11 children. We loved how much space there was allowing everyone to be somewhere doing something. I personally was very comfortable in the bed, the master bath was huge, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There is tons of storage for things if you need it. The view of the lake was perfect, the polar bear plunge on Christmas Eve morning was refreshing, and the fireplace was nice and warm. The owner was very accomodating and even brought in a Christmas tree for us! The neighborhood roads are paved, and were kept clear when it snowed. The driveway itself was a little hairy right after fresh snow, but everyone was able to make it up (no 4x4).

  The lodge is just beautiful, worth every penny of the rental costs. The lodge has a very large and open feel and has lots of space to congregate. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and I liked that the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need! The Wii, movies, Foosball and ping pong table were also great to keep the kiddos entertained. The location is great and the view was beautiful, it was great to wake up and sit on the porch and look at the scenery. My only complaint is that the beds (everyone agreed on this one) are not comfortable! They were pretty mushy and soft. I'm also being picky about this, but the drawers in the master bathroom could've been cleaner, but the rest of the house was very clean and maintained well. I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone and would be happy to stay again!

  Owner response: We recognize that people prefer different firmness in their mattresses. The mattresses we have at our cabin are higher end mattresses and were purchased brand new in 2011. The main mattresses are Sealy Posturepedic pillow top mattresses.

  Our family of 21 spent a fun filled four days on this property and couldn't have asked for nicer accommodations, a better location, or better weather out on the lake. We were all extremely comfortable and had plenty of space to sleep, cook and socialize. From the youngest of the seven grand-kids to the oldest, we had no complaints and found the owners to be helpful and cooperative in meeting our needs. The lodge was clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood was quiet and within minutes to anything we needed in Garden City. The deck provided and amazing view of the lake and after a day on the lake, our evenings were spent watching the sunset and enjoying the cooler temperatures. The children were able to play outside on the lawn and enjoyed playing ping pong and the Wii when it got dark. We will definitely be returning to this lodge for future reunions.

  We had a great time at the Bear Lake house. We had 20 people from 14 months to 70 years old. The home was roomy and well equipped, just the home we would like to own. The yard was great for playing games and the lake was a lot of fun. We rented a boat and Seadoo, A great time was had by all.

  The home is absolutely beautiful...hand hewn logs combined with comfortable furniture, and stunning views of the lake. When the family arrived they all exclaimed! The rental agent was extremely helpful and responsive. I would seek her out again. Absolutely flawless customer service. The back yard was perfect for the croquet and badminton we brought with us. I highly recommend this property. I did not give it five stars only because of the following: I found it odd that the bedrooms have no end tables, nor reading lamps, nor places to put suitcases. Basically, the bedroom furnishings aren't quite finished. There is no wifi with the house. That was okay because we also rented the house next door and were able to use that wifi. Normally, no wifi would be a deal breaker for our family. There is a TV set for games and DVD's, but no TV. Not a problem because we didn't want to watch TV because we were so busy having fun! I would like to close with a reminder that this is a rave review for this property. It was beautiful, comfortable, and most enjoyable.

  We spent 3 nights during the last weekend of August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is such a well kept and beautiful place. We enjoyed it so much, we're already planning out next stay. Thanks!

  We had a terrific 4 day visit and used this wonderful cabin as a base. Very comfortable with a great design and lots of comfort! Had a problem with a couple of items and the owner worked on them immediately. Only recommendations would be to add blinds to upstairs bedroom and add a coffee maker in the kitchen!

  I found this lodge a fantastic place to stay! The view of the lake is gorgeous, the place was immaculate, the beds comfortable, accommodations very up to date. I can't wait to go back. It's a perfect place for families and close to the lake. I am planning my next family get together there. It couldn't be nicer!

  My family loved this cabin! We stayed in the winter and it provided the perfect atmosphere for enjoying family time playing games, visiting by the fire, watching movies, and relaxing with a breathtaking view of the lake. Our teenagers and toddlers equally enjoyed it and often ask to go back. Plenty of room for the kids to run and play, yet still feels cozy. It is new, very clean, and comfortable. The owners are great to work with. Overall a positive and memorable experience. We definitely recommend this cabin!

Cancellation policy:

RENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4 P.M. MST AND CHECK-OUT IS 11 A.M. MST. 2. This is a NON SMOKING unit. 3. PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED in rental unit under any conditions. 4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage/reservation deposit of $300 is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents, services rendered or home owner’s association fines during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. d. All keys are left on the kitchen table and unit is left locked. e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. f. No linens are lost or damaged. g. No Early check-in or late check-out. h. All vehicles will be parked off the road and on the property of the unit rented.. i. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, the security company employed by expercom Rentals. 6. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. 7. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in. 8. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A THREE (3) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY, 2 nights in the low season. 9. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than three days, the guest will be charged the three-night rate. 10. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. 11. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, we suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. 12. RATE CHANGES - Until reserved, Rates are subject to change without notice. 13. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. 14. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS - Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 15. PARKING Must be in the unit parking areas and not in the street. 16. STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS – No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. We highly recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months. We do not refund due to road or weather conditions. 17. The Lodge is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
