  My wife and I are in our 70's and at the last minute decided to head down this way for a few days - been fifteen years or so since visiting Amelia Island Plantation but the distance was right and as it turned out, so was the availability of this neat condo. As frequent travelers loving the beach and preferring now to stay in condos over the Hiltons and Ritz-Carltons as we used to for business, Fernandina Beach has now jumped to number 1 on our list for beach walking and the quiet life that we prefer.This unit was just perfect for us and by far the best equipped and one of the cleanest we have ever had. For a family with small children especially, this needs to be high on the list. Playground right out the back door, beach only a 3-4 minute walk away, nice pool and tennis courts - perfect. Only thing better would be an ocean view and a first-floor unit. Not having that didn't even detract from our enjoyment as the walk with our coffee, books, and beach chairs in hand was so easy. And Audrey and Colin were so accommodating and easy to work with both online and by phone. Downtown Fernandina Beach is cozy with great dining places - but we found when going out, Sliders and the Surf on the beach great eating - for both lunch and evening meals. Having lived in Florida for 7 years in the late 90's, we find the month of May the best for weather and traffic. Previously Florida Panhandle fans, though, when we make our annual fall trek we will seriously consider coming down here to Fernandina rather than Sandestin - my favorite golfing place. Bottom line - this condo, this area, and the climate at least in the month of May we enthusiastically recommend.

  My family enjoyed our stay in this rental. The condo itself was very nice. My sons are 5, 7, & 10 so I was a little worried about having enough space for all of us but the bunk beds worked out great as well as the 2nd bathroom. It was very easy to get around the island and we especially enjoyed the downtown area. I wish the pool had been a bit larger b/c it was always crowded the week we stayed here. However, my children enjoyed the beach so much that we didn't visit the pool as much as on other vacations. The beach was never crowded which was one of the things we liked best about Amelia.

  This condo worked great for us. The walk to the beach was perfect, and very short. I'm not sure if this was just because it was mid-August, but we practically had the beach and pool to ourselves. Of course downtown Fernandina was charming and we highly recommend North 3rd Trading and of course Fernindina's Fantastic Fudge! The owners were very helpful in answering all of our questions, and we would recommend this property to anyone, especially those with young children.

  Firstly, Colin and Audrey are great to work with. Accessiblity and professionalism are the only two things I can say about these guys! Would definitely work with them again. What a helpful and caring attitude. Top notch folks. Do not hesitate to work with them. This location is great and right near the beach. ZERO complaints, ZERO.

  We had a great week at the beach and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and well-equipped condo. One reason we were drawn to this condo is because the owners have made it so kid friendly. We had our three-year-old grandson with us and he was very pleased with the games, children's DVD's and beach toys he found. He fell in love with the bunk bed in his room! The playground just across the street was so convenient and a real plus for him. The location of the condo made it very easy to walk to the beach. It's true--only a two minute walk! The grounds at Forest Ridge Village are well maintained and have a peaceful atmosphere. The condo has a great layout and it is very spacious. We have recommended it to our family and friends. We found some excellent restaurants. If you're looking for fresh seafood, try the Crab Trap. If it's pizza you want, Opp's Pizza has some of the best pizza I've ever tasted and some extremely reasonable daily lunch specials. If you' re in the mood for BBQ, Sonny's has totally delicious ribs. If you're looking for a fantastic condo, look no more!!!

  my husband and our 2 kids stayed here and this is the cleanest and most convenient place we have ever stayed in!!!!!there is everything you need so you dont have to bring anything except a few clothes and sunscreen!there are plenty of towels and dishes and kids toys and books and it is a super fast walk to the beach. they even have nice neighbors. the pool and tennis court is only steps away and the turtles in the little pond there are too cute. it is only a few minutes to the marina and amelia island plantation. we hope to stay here again very soon. the condo looks exactly like the pictures and it feels just like home. i only wish we could have stayed for a month or two!!

  My daughter and I stayed for almost two weeks in this PRECIOUS condo surrounded with old tress, ponds, yet short walk to ocean ! Owner was the BEST we have ever encountered in our many travels across the country!

  We loved this condo very relaxing and they had everything. I was traveling with a 10 month old and did not want to have to carry highchair, crib or stroller and this owner had it all!!!!! You could hear the ways coming in and it was just soooooo relaxing. I would totally recommend to any one. Thanks again for such an awesome place!!!! We will be coming back!! Seigrist Family 2012

  We really enjoyed our stay! We even stayed an extra day! Great condo set up---for the home away from home feel! Close to the beach, nice pool and play place for the kids. We saw turtles and a heron in the grass. We enjoyed many nights relaxing on the balcony enjoying the sunsets. Beds were very comfortable and the condo had everything we needed to feel at home. The crib and rocking chair were certainly a plus when traveling with an infant. Collin and Audrey were very helpful and answered many emails we sent back and forth about ideas on things to do, where to see and questions about the area in general. We will certainly be back and HIGHLY recommend this condo to anyone! The best food we had was at Brett's Waterway Cafe! We enjoyed the island a lot and look forward to visiting again!

  Thank you for sharing your very comfortable home with us.It is well supplied and kudos to you both on the decor and furnishings,a nice mix of new and old.Being the stay was off season there were no crowds at the restaurants downtown or anywhere for that matter.Do stop for ice cream at Denucci's on Saldler after dinning out. The historic section of downtown is a must see and be sure to do the history museum while there. We highly recommend this property for your stay on Amelia Island. Audrey and Colin do care about guest comfort and needs.
