Step back in time when you visit this unique, spacious 1 bedroom, 2 bath property. There is a large living/dining area and a kitchen with a large serving bar. The cottage amenities include satellite TV, DVD, BBQ gas grill, all kitchen utensils, blender, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and full size washer/dryer. The bedroom has a king size bed including all linens for bed and bath. Also includes a futon (sleeps 1 adult or two children), a twin size roll-away, and an inflatable queen size mattress, all linens and pillows included.
The property is on the waterfront of a Colorado River channel connecting to Lake LBJ. Expansive waterfront and motorized boat lift/dock along with a double jet ski ramp provide easy access for water fun. Fish from the dock day or night with with the underwater 'fish light'. Take a cool dip in the water or float on your air mattress -- no boat is needed to have fun in the water at El Rancho Pescado!

I chose this place based on its decor both inside and out and the pricing. We were celebrating our daughter-in-law's 24th birthday and this was the perfect place. The vintage decor made for a fabulous, homey setting and the landscaping and outside furnishings added to the ambiance. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We prefer a property that looks appropriate for the setting and not something you would find in the suburbs. El Rancho Pescado was it! The largest property in the cove, ERP allowed for plenty of peace and quiet if desired or a chance to visit with the neighbors across the water. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved swimming off the dock, riding the jet ski, and boating into the cove to get ice cream from the DQ. Our 15 month old grandson loved swinging on the bench under the huge oak tree. Plenty of sun or shade as desired. The boat dock and jet ski ramp were definitely a plus for our needs. The fire pit and surrounding grassy area and seating provided a delightful setting for a night of roasting marshmallows for the traditional ooey, gooey S'mores. My parents in their 70"s joined us for some quality great-grandparent time on Saturday. We also had Penny, our daughter-in-law's 9 week old Shih Tzu (birthday surprise) with us as well. We are looking forward to a return trip to El Rancho Pescado. Judy was a pleasure to work with and we absolutley love what she and her husband Robert have done with their 1950's property.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

I highly recommend El Rancho Pescado for a relaxing getaway! This adorably charming cottage has all the comforts of home plus a beautiful view of the lake! It has everything you need for your watercrafts, a fire pit for your smores, an outdoor dining table for your meals and most importantly, plenty of fun in the sun! The property is so gorgeous and the lake access was perfect! We spent a week there and we can’t wait to go back! Please don't wait and book your vacation at El Rancho Pescado now!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: This guest brought their own jet ski so our double jet ski ramp was perfect for them. They also told me about all of the exploring they did in the area of Inks Lake with their young daughter and how much they enjoyed it. They also were glad to spend their vacation time with their doggies!

This is really a very large one bedroom casita with two full baths. Inside is comfortable and roomy. The decor takes you back to the Texas Hill Country in the 1950's. The outdoor area is wonderful. There is ample outdoor furniture on the water front. Very quite and private. Nice place to watch the sunset and have a glass of wine. We can highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+.

About the owner: Robert and Judy Fisher are the owners, residing in Kingsland and Austin, Texas. We have tried to reflect our own personality and style in the property, combining a love of Texan values with quality and comfort.
Why the Owner Chose Kingsland:
Why we bought this property: It has been our dream to own a lake home on LBJ for many years. We were so fortunate to find this property because it fits our style perfectly: ranch style relaxation at the lake! Ranching and rodeo have been in our families for many years so the décor is a reflection of our heritage. We think the architecture of the home lends itself perfectly to the “retro” ranch furnishings and collectibles. Our guests have commented when they walk in the door of the home they immediately feel taken back to a simpler time and are ready to kick back and relax. The living room and dining room furniture are all authentic 1940’s vintage ranch furnishings.
The dock and sidewalk are perfect for bass and crappie fishing (especially in the evenings). The under-water “fish light” makes night time fishing extra fun. Check out the local wildlife too: ducks and heron can often be seen. We even spotted and red fox nosing around the yard a couple of times.
The convenience of being in Kingsland is also a bonus! You can easily pick up supplies from the local HEB and stop by Sonic if you want a quick bite. All the “in-town” conveniences you need are literally just around the corner. No need for a long drive into town if you run out of hamburger buns!

Star gazing is fantastic under the 100 year old oak trees. Enjoy the view any time from the yard in the swing or the hammock. Sunsets are particularly beautiful while sipping wine from our comfy adirondack chairs. In the cool months, build a toasty fire in the large fire pit down by the dock.
