Convenient to 'The Villages', our five and one half acre estate called 'Hidden Oaks', includes a fully furnished, air conditioned, 1600 sq ft ranch home located on an Old Florida setting in Fruitland Park, Fl. Get the best of both worlds! Enjoy the hustle and bustle of The Villages nearby, and then retreat to the peace and quiet of a country home in a parklike atmosphere.
Summertime--and the Living is Easy! For you vacationers that would like to visit Florida in the Summer, when the temperatures have risen, that is the perfect time to visit 'Hidden Oaks'. It is usually 10 to 15 degrees cooler in the shade of our huge Oak trees and with the breeze that flows through there, it makes the perfect summertime retreat. We also have a cottage available on our 'Hidden Oaks' estate--Listing #445508 with VRBO, under Lady Lake, Fl, if you would prefer something a little smaller..
'Hidden Oaks' has a view of Spring Lake from all rooms at the rear of the home. The back yard is like a park with it's Majestic Oaks and beautiful trees and offers complete privacy from other neighbors. It sports a panoramic view and in addition to the lake view, it has a small pond surrounded by Cypress trees, where many species of birds choose to frequent. There are Sandhill Crane that come to visit , along with Ibis, Egrets, Cardinals, etc. Bring your binoculars for up-close views. You will see many squirrels hopping from tree to tree, along with tree ducks that come to roost in the huge oaks. It is a writer's and painter's paradise. The birds are singing with joy amongst this peaceful setting. There is a bench out back by the Oak tree along with a wisteria covered arbor with benches, where one can meditate..
The landscape around the house sports Roses, Hisbiscus, Camelias, Ligustrum, Azaleas, Lilly of the Nile, and many other beautiful bushes and plants. Many varieties of Citrus trees such as Tangerine, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Orange, and Grapefruit along with Loquats, Apple, Peach, Pecan and Fig have been planted by the owner for the viewer's pleasure and enhancement of the property. What a treat for the senses when these are in bloom!
The rear of the house faces to the East, so the sunrises are spectacular. Most of the time there is a lovely breeze that drifts across the back of the property. If you are looking for a place where you can kick back, have a mint julep, and remember days gone by, this is it!
Each room is tastefully decorated, and not a detail has been missed. The rooms have all been repainted,. There is a 40-inch Flat Screened Hi-Def TV in the living room and a 26-inch Flat Screen TV in the Den. The living room has a large leather couch with ottoman, a leather recliner, and a swivel rocker.
The dining room has a large pecan table with four chairs to match, and it can seat six.
New stainless steel appliances adorn the kitchen, along with three solar tubes, and great tasting well water with softener. There is a built-in wall oven and a corning counter top range.
There are two bedrooms, each with bathrooms and walk-in closets and queen sized beds. The one Master bedroom has a walk-in shower. The other has a full tub, with shower. Choose whichever you like, and use the other for a guest bedroom. Third bedroom is a Den with seating for four and a 26-inch Flat Screen TV. There is a small desk set up as a computer center. This is a split bedroom floor plan. There is a Master bedroom and Den on one end of the house and a second Master bedroom is on the other.
The large screened porch on front of home has a large patio table and six sling back chairs, and another table with four chairs, and a Gas Grill.
There is a window-lined Florida room with a view of lovely wooded areas and a lake. The Florida Room has a loveseat, large stuffed chair, a recliner chair, and a table with four chairs for your relaxing and dining comfort, while enjoying nature at its finest. This table could also be used for games.
There is a separate laundry room with a wardrobe cupboard, utility tub, folding table, and a new washer and dryer.
'Hidden Oaks' is located ten minutes from either Town Square of The Villages and all its amenities. There is shopping galore at stores such as: Sam's Club, Beall's, Belk's, Publix, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohls, Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Walmart, Michaels, Staples, Jo Ann's, KirKland's, Lowe's, to name just a few.
Rental Policy:
A Security Deposit of $750 is required to guarantee the reservation. Landlord will return Tenant's Security Deposit within 21 days after Tenant has vacated the premises and returned the keys,and the home is found to be in the same condition as tenant found them. All Utilities, Satellite TV, Trash pickup, Pest Control, and Grounds Maintenance, High Speed Wireless Internet Access are provided with every rental. Local and long distance ( in the U.S.) telephone services are available for an additional fee. Cleaning and Departure Fee of $100.
Shuttle service between the Villages and the Orlando Airport is available for a fee and must be scheduled in advance. Go to The Villages website for details. This service is available to anyone.
You must be at least 35 years old to rent - no smoking or pets allowed. (NO CHILDREN, PLEASE)
'Hidden Oaks' is for the discriminating guest that enjoys being close to all the conveniences, but wants their privacy. Bring your suitcase and toothbrush. That's all you'll need!

I loved every second of my time on this property. Waking up as the sun was rising and taking a stroll around the property and the lake was one of my favorite things to do. The beauty of the property and the fantastic breeze blowing in off of the field/lake make this property a fantastic relaxation spot. Its tucked away from all the noise of the city but only minutes away if your feeling up to a little action. The home was supplied with everything I ever needed and loved that I felt immediately at home from the first day I moved in. The property owners are more than accomadating to any suggestions or needs you might have. It was pleasure to meet and speak with them and feel they are now great friends. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a majestic getaway with the quite relaxing feel of a country home combined with the ease of access and closeness of the city. Its about 10-15 mins to Lake Sumter Landing which is full of great food and entertainment, but tucked just far away to not have to worry about the noise of the city. I look forward to any opportunity to stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

This home is so peaceful. Just being there is relaxing. About 5 minutes away are restaurants and entertainment at The Villages. The owners do all the lawn maintenace and the place is immaculate, so you get to enjoy all the convenieces of the The Villages and come home to the privacy and comfort of the countryside. It is amazing. I would highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My husband and I are retired and live in The Villages. He was a professional gardener and took it up as a hobby when moving here. He loves the outdoors, and while we have a 'large lot' for the Villages, we missed having property. We moved here from Northeast Ohio and love Florida. I was a controller for auto dealerships. We are workaholics, and 'Hidden Oaks' was quite a challenge for us.
Why the Owner Chose Lady Lake:
It is 5 miles from our home and the best of both worlds. It is totally in the country, while the Villages is hustle and bustle. It offers the serenity of nature, but yet is within 10 minutes to all the things the Villages has to offer. It's location is perfect. Spring Lake Rd runs crosswise between 441/27 and 466A--the main arteries of the Villages. The house is 5 minutes from the town of Fruitland Park and just a few miles to either Leesburg or Wildwood and just 3 miles to Colony Plaza in the Villages.We are just 55 miles from Orlando and 57 miles from Disney/Sea World. One and 1/2 hours from the Ocean and 1 hour to the Gulf. The perfect location for your getaway.
