Peaceful & stylish pool home with gorgeous lake views
Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, remodeled with a Boho Chic vibe. You’ll notice the artful design, from the decor, to the floor…
So how did the Boho Fish Camp get its name? Bohemian often refers to one who has their own style, is a bit unconventional, and one who may travel from place to place.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, or other precious metals. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
We wanted to combine the two, taking the Bohemian artful traveler and Kintsugi philosophy which makes beauty out of broken things and bring them to you in what once was a neglected home in a quiet country town in such a beautiful setting. Creating it into an artful home for all to enjoy.
And of course let’s face it the fish camp portion of our name just seems appropriate given it’s sitting on one of the best spring-fed, bass-fishing lakes in Florida!
Our goal will be to not only make it a great place to stay no matter what brings you to town, but we are in the process of collecting some art from nearby artists to showcase as well (this may not be implemented until later in the year).
Our home is located right on the lake (and canal - water on 2 sides!). Bring your boat, your fishing gear or just grab a chair and enjoy the sunrises and watching wildlife from the dock. Its so serene and peaceful. Lake Panasoffkee is a quiet little town away from it all, yet close enough for anything you need. A canoe and kayaks are also available for you to get out on the lake and explore (at your own risk of course).
You'll love the tree-lined streets in the neighborhood, which is completely walkable, or ridable (bring your own bikes, or we have 2 you are welcome to use). It's quiet and serene, and neighbors are friendly :)
Do note that the master bedroom is a 'presidential suite/loft-style room that opens up from the living room, to allow complete interaction, and has floor-to-ceiling curtains to close for privacy. The other 2 bedrooms (one with a twin daybed, and the other with a queen & full bed) are each in private rooms.
We also own the home next door, "Modern Fish Camp" should you need to book more space and want to spread out. Come experience Old Florida here and/or next door at our Modern Fish Camp.
Just to note, our home is set up and stocked for 2 guests, and additional people are always welcome — up to the maximum of 7 guests total. Each extra guest is $20 per person, per day, which helps us cover added utilities, supplies, and the extra time our cleaners spend preparing the home. Since our cleaning fee stays the same no matter how many people are in your group, this keeps things fair and ensures the house is fresh and comfortable for everyone.
To keep things safe and consistent, all guests and visitors need to be included in your reservation. The property is also equipped with exterior security cameras for peace of mind. We kindly ask that there are no unauthorized visitors, large gatherings, or parties during your stay.
Thank you for helping us keep the home enjoyable for all our guests — we want you to relax, have fun, and make the most of your time here!

This was our second stay here for my birthday, and let’s just say it was AMAZING.. such a beautiful home. With a private fishing dock! So relaxing, and the pool was loved by us all ! Definitely will be staying here next family occasion
Great property located on the lake with a dock on the water or a pool and patio to enjoy the beautiful sites. Great place to lay your head and relax after a couple busy days exploring the area.

So great to hear you be enjoyed your stay! Hope you’ll come visit again. ;)
Very cozy and relaxing, checking in was easy, you download the app and it unlocks with a tap upon arrival. Hosts were amiable and replied to questions promptly. We have a big family, the kids and grandchildren enjoyed the canoes, fishing and the pool. there isn't a grill thats the only thing I'd say would be a great addition to this cute boho find. Thank you for letting us stay in you're home we had a wonderful time.
Great location, right on the water, comfortable stay!
Lots of gator sightings right from the house, super cool! The house was so well decorated and equipped with anything we would need. The owners were easy to correspond with and access to the house was seamless. A wonderful visit.

Thanks so much. Love hearing how much you enjoyed your stay! Hope you’ll come back and stay again!
We chose this house primarily for the location on the lake and fishing potential and it did not disappoint! End of March apparently is not bass season, but my husband and son caught lots of huge bowfin right off the dock. They also made friends with a with a local neighbor who took them out on his boat where they caught 37 huge bluegills! Loved my quite peaceful mornings sitting out on the dock listening to the birds and watching an alligator float back and forth further out in the lake. The pool is not heated FYI (not a deal breaker for us). Enjoyed the food and vibe at Big Bass Grill for dinner. Loved the unique decor at this house and overall really enjoyed our stay!

We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay! I was just talking to the neighbor about your fishing trip earlier today! He showed me pictures of all of the fish! Cannot believe that… Amazing! I hope you’ll come stay again :-)

stay at the Lake
the house was clean and the access to the lake was good. Parked my small boat next to the dock on the canal. the wind blew 15-20 knots each day making fishing on the lake tough. I did catch a nice few fish from the edge of the yard.
great bass lake and good bream as well.
played golf each day at courses within and hour drive.
the neighborhood is very old and in poor repair which was the only negative.
We had a wonderful honeymoon here! Tons of wildlife to see, very peaceful. The house itself was comfortable, beautiful with concrete floors, and had great decor that is unique and fun but not tacky. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a couple issues at first with the lock but it seemed to resolve itself and we didn’t have to worry about it for the rest of the trip. Our only real complaint was that the pool area could use some TLC but the host was very friendly and checked in on us a few times and said they had plans to do some work out there just hadn’t had an appropriate amount of time yet. I’ll also mention if you are someone who wants to experience the local culture there really is nothing to do in the immediate area. We drove about 30 minutes to a nearby community near the Villages for dinner a couple times that was a lot of fun but the location is definitely probably best for people who want to stay at the house and relax for the majority of their trip. We were very comfortable and happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it and come back :)
Quite the lovely experience! My partner and I loved everything about the place we wish we sayed longer. If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place for you! So much wildlife and beautiful nature it is too hard not to want to stay again!
Few things to note-
This lake is full of alligator sightings, so if you're looking to kayak keep that in mind, this also means so swimming. It is also a bit tough to launch the kayaks though.
Great place close to springs, about an hour to hour and a half to most springs.
Outdoor patio did have a little bit of cobwebs/spiders but it wasn't too much of a bother understanding we were in central Florida. They weren't big, if you don't bother them they don't bother you (I'm personally scared of spiders and they didnt bother me).
They offer board games, outside toys, body products like body wash and hair wash, some spices and a lot of different cookware which was very nice!
Overall communication and description of the property were spot on! We look forward to coming back in the future! Thank you for everything!

Thanks so much for the glowing review Lauren!
And sorry about the pesky spiders, they build those darn things faster than we can keep up with, it is an ongoing task and taken care of with each checkout believe it or not. You're right, it's Florida, and we've got lots of trees! Thanks for helping with that!
So glad you got out on the lake, and got to see gators and all of the wildlife - we never feel like we have enough time up there either!
We look forward to your next visit!
Thanks so much Selenna! So glad you enjoyed it as much as we do! Hope to come back again :-)
About the host
Hosted by Valerie Bogle
We are Floridians through and through. Born in Florida and still love it. Although, I think I may have gypsy in my blood as I love to travel and explore new and exciting places...all around the world. Which is what I love about VRBO is that there's this community who either love traveling as well, or at least are willing to host those of us who do! I love it so much, I've also become a host & a travel agent!
I look forward to talking soon!
Why they chose this property
I spent many years of my childhood, coming to this small town of Lake Panasoffkee from Tampa. It's always held a special place in my heart as I remember running through the neighborhoods, fishing in the lake and exploring like kids do. Interestingly enough, it hasn't changed much over the years, which is one thing I LOVE about it here. It's still Old-Florida, has cypress trees, with moss flowing in the breeze coming off the lake. It's rare that you don't see someone on the lake fishing (and catching more than I've ever seen). It's peaceful and relaxing and feels like you're far away, while still being close enough to the things you need; groceries, entertainment, shopping, attractions, etc.
We also own the home next door on the canal, which we also love, and patiently waited until this house was available, and once it was we made it ours! Now we get to share it with others, and still have a place we can come to escape too.
What makes this property unique
What is amazing about this house, is the way it was built, you can be on any side of the house and have a view of water! Then add a spool (spa sized pool), and an AMAZING dock out back, lots of shade trees, and it's no surprise everyone is loving it as much as we do. It's a slice of heaven.
