Main floor has one smaller bedroom with a futon bed and nearby half bathroom.
Kitchen is brand new, gourmet, top of the range oven, open plan spilling out to the main living area. We've attempted to provide most appliances/gadgetry you'd need including 2 coffee makers (for decaf and regular), a mixer, blender, food processor, and all the ammentities for cooking beautiful food (or leave it and just order out!).
The backside of the house looks out onto Washington pond, and the house is structured with windows all along the backside for continual views.
Two decks -- one off the kitchen is a screened in porch with outdoor grill that is hardwired to a gasline with a nice outdoor dining table that easily seats 6. The other deck, running along the length of the house, is straight off the back, overlooking the lake, open air with outdoor seats, and with stairs leading straight out to the lake.

Why the Owner Chose Washington:
Nightingale House is our dream home in Maine. After vacationing there for years, we knew we wanted a home there -- the pond is an absolute gem. The house was built new in 2008 and hasn't been lived in steadily. All the furnishings are new with an eye toward modern styling and lake living. The home's amenities are carefully chosen - a well outfitted kitchen with quality pots, dishes, and appliances, space to relax on 3 levels, and a firepit by the lake designed for magical family evenings, personal wellness retreats, and memorable conversations with friends. The cottage includes a boat launch, though you will need to rent your own canoe or kayak. Not far offshore is a little island, wonderful for sailing past and spying on wildlife.
This is one of the most incredible homes we've ever experienced, and we are delighted to make our home yours. Enjoy 400 thread count sheets, cozy duvets with sateen covers, waffles in the morning, and a view year-round that takes your breath away.
