South Puget Sound Beach House on Hammersley Inlet

This cozy, light-filled beach house sits on 2.5 acres of forest and meadow and over 100 feet of low bank waterfront on Hammersley Inlet, just outside of Shelton, Washington. It sleeps 8-10 people and includes a huge front lawn, giant deck, firepit, barbecue, washer/dryer and solitude. The beach is a commercial shellfish farm, raising manila clams. Take long beach walks, go beachcombing or just lounge on the deck. The tides and current make it ideal for kayaking. In the summer months there is a buoy for tying up a small boat. Cabin is located about 30 minutes from Olympia.
The beds in each room are as follows. Main Floor: Bedroom 1) Queen bed, Bedroom 2) two twin beds. Top floor: Bedroom 3) two twin beds and double bed, Bedroom 4) master bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom.

Our group really enjoyed stay at this home. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools one could need to prepare almost any meal successfully. The beds are comfortable and everything is right where you need or could want it. The view and location are really perfect for a relaxing weekend just outside of the city. It was quiet and during the time we were there very clear and beautiful. The only difficulty is the driveway which, when you arrive at night, appears a little daunting. We stayed here in part due to it's closeness to Shelton (in one direction) and The Ridge Motorsports Park (in the other direction). It was an ideal spot for us but high performance drivers beware: The driveway may preclude you from staying at this house. It's a shame if so, because it's a great house!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The Puget Sound Beach house met all our needs and expectations. All though we were out most of the day playing golf, there looks to be an unlimited number of other activities around the cabin to do.
