My family and I had the privalige of being the first to stay in this brand new guest house that really exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated and outfitted with high quality appliances. The Okanagen Lake is just across the road (even closer then pics show) in a quiet neighborhood. We were fortunate to have hot weather (Kelowna....big surprise) and spent alot of time on the lake or on the beach. The King size bed was great and the upstairs shower also stood out. The upstairs and down stairs patios were hits in the mornings or to watch the sunset over the mountains at night. We also spent alot of time on the patios. Jen and her family were very helpful and easy to talk to (along with their neighbours), we had privacy but also we knew they were close by to deal with any concerns. Every thing you need is close by but you can also be in downtown Kelowna in about 20 min or less. During our stay we visited the nearby Kangaroo petting zoo, the Grey Monk Winery and we always have to go to The Jammery for at least one breakfast. Plenty more to see and do on another trip and there are also endless things to do in and around Kelowna. In Summary if I were you, I would be booking this place, hopefully not at the same time I want to. About the owner: We are a family of 4. We have been loving our last year living in BC. We've had a summer experiencing the beach, different water activities, hiking and fishing. Our familly loves swimming, we are practically fish after this summer. To keep us busy this winter we have visited Big White on a couple of occassions. My husband and kids are pro's, myself I think I'll be investing in a 10 pack of lessons. We are so Thankful to have had the opportunity to move here and we look forward to raising our children here.
Why the Owner Chose Okanagan Centre:
We decided to move to BC in May 2011 at that time we came for a visit to look for our new home. Having grown up in the Okanagan, we looked in many towns. On our way back to Alberta we stopped in at my uncles house for a visit. To our surprise he was building a house that was semi lakefront. It had always been a dream of mine to own a home built by my uncle. 1 year later June 2012 we moved in. During that year we decided to add a Carriage house on the lot for guest who decided to visit! Aug 2012 it was completed. These homes I'm sure will one day be heritage homes. We are looking forward to sharing the fine craftsmanship with our guest. The location is fantastic, it's quiet yet full of activities. Okanagan Centre is away from the city but close enough if you want a taste of city. A true gem of the Okanagan.
