This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The bed was super comfortable and the property was amazing. The grass trails were great for walking my dog. This is the best place I have ever stayed on Whidbey Island for a very reasonable price. Our stay could not have been better.

Sigh.... That was my first reaction when I stepped into The Wildeberry Cottage on Whidbey Island during my recent getaway. The beauty of the Island is really expressed in this most comfortable & charming setting. I felt immediately relaxed & knew that I had picked the right place to stay. The cottage itself has everything you would want or need & everything is extremely clean. The bed? Super comfy! It was a real treat to see the birds, the bunnies, the ducks & a couple of adorable goats! It seems the owners have thought of everything for comfort, including a couple of cold beers in the fridge & flowers on the table. A real bonus was the use of the beautiful Gooseberry Lodge. The pictures don't do it justice. The owners, John & Missy are very helpful with ideas from what to see to where to eat. It was great! Sigh.... I can't wait to go back!

Week stay at the WildeBerry
Guest review from airbnb website: We stayed for a week at the Wildeberry Cottage and loved it! The cottage was perfect - immaculate, super comfy bed with soft sheets, and an excellent shower with great water pressure and soft towels...much better than anticipated! The cottage is small but not cramped, with plenty of room for us and our young son. We also had the use of the other building, set up as a great room, so we had more space than we needed for sure. The location was perfect, very close to shopping and convenient to explore all of Whibey (we had a car and would recommend one as well unless you are AVID bikers!). Our hosts were lovely! They were super friendly and greeted us when we arrived, and gave us a tour of the property. They made a point to check in with us during our stay without being intrusive, which is a hard balance to achieve. They even arranged for us to meet some locals that we had heard about from a blog, which was incredibly kind of them and definitely above and beyond what we were expecting. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay and recommend it 100%. You will love it!

A delightful spot with quirky spaces, charming goats, a field to run in, a duck pond and huge fire pit. And the hosts were truly accommodating, offering the perfect mix of privacy and friendly engagement. While not visible, the place is adjacent to the highway making it a bit noisy.

Whidbey Island is a beautiful spot where you can be as active or as laid back as you like. We spent two nights on the farm with our dog and really enjoyed it. Pulled up to the charming, tiny cabin to a welcome note and a couple of beers from Missy & John, who we met the following day and loved. I'm a little late to post the review, but I have fond memories of how perfect the details were all around the grounds. It's clear someone is an artist and absolutely a nature lover. As a tough critic on quality of bedding and towels, I remember being VERY happy with what was provided. The bed is extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is excellent. Most enjoyed the location of this place--it was easy access to Whidbey's dog beach (Double Bluff Road), Ebey's Landing (incredible hike!), and the sweet town of Langley (a must!). I'd recommend this spot to anyone who is hoping to view a lot of the island, and doesn't wish to be sitting around inside for long stretches of time--the cabin itself is very, very small and you'll want to stretch your legs. Thank you Missy & John! We had a great time. *Host note - In addition to the cottage, we opened up the Gooseberry lodge as a sitting room exclusively for our guests which expands the living space and elbow room considerably (see pics)

Thanks for everything!
The cottage was adorable. Really cute decor and stocked with everything you need. The bed was SO comfortable. (very important to me) Very private and totally cozy. This is a really great location for a trip to Whidbey, In between Langley and Coupeville. I would highly recommend it and hope to be back again. Thanks for everything. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend Wilde Berry to our family that has a place on the island. : )

We spent two nights at this cottage. It is a studio-type set-up (bathroom in own room). The cottage and bed was very comfortable and clean. The cottage was right of Hwy 20 so was easy to find, but was very quiet at night. Good central location to check out the island. No stove, but there is a microwave and coffee maker. The cottage is set up with all the fixins such as shampoo, soap, towels and so on. On our stay Missy and John even gave us a basket of fruit. Overall it was a great experience, and I would most definitely stay here again.

About the owner: Greetings from beautiful Whidbey Island located in the Pacific Northwest! We live here with our 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses 2 goats and six ducks. When we are not busy making or creating gourmet sauces for our company WhidbeyFresh, we like to hike and bike around the Puget Sound. We are truly blessed and inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us. Most of our major life decisions (and even recipe ideas) have been made while walking hand in hand along the beach or hiking up a mountain trail. John is the more serious athlete in the family. Between training for 4 Ironman's and other adventure racing endeavors, he enjoys working with other athletes to surpass their own expectations. We are also the proud owners of the WildeBerry on Whidbey, a cottage located on 7.4 forested acres. The cottage is reserved for lucky dogs and their well-behaved humans.
Why the Owner Chose Greenbank:
Whether you're searching for a relaxing place to get away or a challenging bike or hiking trail, we look forward to sharing with you all the beauty and majesty Whidbey Island has to offer. We never thought we would leave colorful Colorado, but the second we set foot on Whidbey Island, we knew it would be our next home and the place where we would follow our passion by opening an affordable, relaxation inspired retreat. Are we crazy? Yes, just crazy enough to make it happen and leave our beloved Rocky Mountains behind. Between traveling the world for pleasure, work and triathlon, we've stayed in the best and worst of places. The WildeBerry is our personal interpretation of what a true escape can be...a place of comfort, relaxation and rejuvenation! We love it and hope you will too!
