Nestled In The Trees
Nestled In The Trees
The photos of the home and surrounding area were charming. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that the property was exactly as depicted. It felt like home. The furnishings are of interest, many pieces being antiques. The master bath belongs in "House Beautiful". As far as amenities, everything was included. We entertained both nights we were there and the kitchen provided all that was needed. This property is very secluded, but yet within walking distance of several attractions and not too far a distance to spend a day in Seattle. We found the owners of the property helpful with recommendations for activities for those guests with children. The manager of the property should be commended for the pristine condition of the house. The property and grounds are extremely well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning at a future date.

A few days among the treetops
A few days among the treetops
The house is situated at the top of a hill surrounded by trees and though there are nearby neighbors, they're hardly noticeable. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens developed by the owners over the years. There are scores of tasting rooms nearby although no actual vineyards and Seattle is an easy drive. We (two couples) drove into Seattle two of the four days we were there and enjoyed the Underground Tour, the Chihuly museum and the Space Needle among other things. The house is roomy and very comfortably furnished including a very well equipped kitchen. The place was clean, particularly the kitchen and bathrooms, but the light colored carpet was very spotted in some areas. This is the only minor issue I had with the house and it didn't seem to concern my travelling companions. On the whole, the house exceeded my expectations and we were very pleased with our stay there.

Manager response: Thank you for your recent review. As owners of what we consider to be a special place, we appreciate your feedback. Our goal for the next year is to continue to upgrade our home and build our environment as a beautiful quiet spot in the woods to relax in that boarders the bustle of the Woodinville wine experience. Each season brings a new inspiration in decorating, we continue to add elements to make the property special. We plan on adding more outdoor sitting areas and plants for all to enjoy in our garden. In ending 2013, we have added a new Jenn Air Cooktop and professionally cleaned the carpeting with a non chemical, environmentally safe deep cleaning and spot removal system. The light colored carpet is in pristine condition. We look forward to hosting guests in 2014, and perhaps your return. Thank you, Paul and Judy
Four adults stayed at this property over the Labor Day weekend and it was the perfect home base for visiting Seattle and the surrounding area. It was great to be able to relax and enjoy the lovely location after a busy day. You really do feel like you are in a tree house! The owner was very welcoming and we appreciated her advice for restaurants etc. She did mention that the carpeting is going to be replaced which will make this home even nicer! The landscaping is gorgeous and we wished we could have enjoyed a fire on the patio but we just ran out of time. We would highly recommend!

Manager response: Our first year, starting July 2013 as a V.R.B.O. has been a learning and rewarding experience. We are very pleased with all the positive feedback we have received. The number of areas that our guest have shown interest in visiting here is fairly broad including local concerts, wedding parties, wine tasting, gardening or just getting away and using our home as a launch pad for touring greater Seattle. We are planning several new features for the property and have addressed the light colored carpet. Thank you and hope for you return. Paul & Judy

About: The owners are retired and have been married for over 50 years. They have raised three girls who all live in Woodinville with their families. They enjoy traveling, gardening and entertaining family and friends.
We have always appreciated architecture and landscaping. When we first saw this property, we recognized the unique qualities that it offered to create a home that compliments its surroundings inside and out. Through the years, we have designed every space to reflect a casual elegance that we truely enjoy.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We fell in love with this home because you feel you as if you are perched high among the evergreens. We are lucky to live in a modern treehouse. From every view, you are surronded by forest, gardens and birds, which really evokes a sense of calm. As you relax on the patio, you can't believe that the bustling tourist distirct is just outside our neighborhood entrance. We have the best of both worlds-a quiet and private home in the heart of everything that Woodinivlle wine country has to offer.
