This adorable Nautical Home, the "Boathouse," is located on Coronado Island. This home was featured in "Better Homes and Gardens," and is available for rent year round. The "Boathouse" is one short block from the beach and one and a half blocks from Orange Avenue (shopping and restaurants). It is just minutes, within walking distance, from the world renowned Hotel del Coronado. Guests love this location!! No car needed.
You will love the " Boathouse!!" We have repeat guests for all of the described amenities. However, our guests really love that the "Boathouse" is kept in ship-shape. It is very well appointed, clean and organized.
Nautical details are the crown jewels of this home. This home is beautifully decorated. With its Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors throughout and its comfortable furnishings, this is a perfect beachside retreat. Brass light fixtures, kitchen knobs with scrolled rope details, porthole windows, and white beaded board are just some of the seaside-apropos features. Accents of mahogany add a yacht atmosphere.
This vacation home has three bedrooms located on the lower level. The "Captain's Room" (Master) has a queen bed and bathroom with double vanity and shower. The "Cottage Room" has a queen bed. The "Boat Room" has one twin sleigh bed with trundle (two twin beds). A full bath separates the two bedrooms.
Luxurious linens and towels are Ralph Lauren and Nautica. No need to bring anything with you.
There is a small den on this level with full-size sofa sleeper. This home will sleep six to eight people. There is a TV/DVD/VCR in the family room and master suite. There is a TV/DVD in the den and in the "Cottage Room" and a TV/VCR in the "Boat Room." There is Cable TV in all rooms. There are also personal CD/Alarm/Clock/Radios in each bedroom.
The main living area is upstairs, which includes the family room, kitchen, dining room, powder room, and large deck off the family room at the front of the house, providing a beautiful, open view. The family room with its vaulted ceilings and skylights is bright and airy. The family room features a 36-inch Plasma TV, stereo/CD player, and very comfortable furnishings. There is also a desk equipped with fax/printer/copier/scanner and Wireless Internet (WiFi).
Curl up in the cozy living room with a book or enjoy a glass of wine out on the front deck. Sometimes at night if you listen carefully, you may hear the waves crashing from beautiful Coronado beach just one short block away from the "Boathouse."
The "galley" kitchen features royal blue Viking appliances, breakfast bar for five, and is equipped with everything you need. The dining room with its bold blue and white color scheme seats eight to ten. This home is complete with washer and dryer (located on lower level), linens, and bedding. Just bring your suitcase . . . . No car needed.

My wife and I stayed at the Boathouse for the 2nd time over the Easter holiday. As usual, we had a wonderful time and perfect weather. The location is perfect and the house has everything we could want. It is the perfect house for us to rest and relax and to just get away from it all for a week. I'm sure that this is the 2nd time of many that we will rent this house. Only one block from the beach and two blocks from the shops and restaurants on Orange Ave. The owners of the house are wonderful to work with. We have enjoyed every trip to the Boathouse and would highly recommend it to those interested in a wonderful time in Coronado.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

We have stayed in numerous vrbo listings all over the world and this would certainly rank near the top. It is beautifully designed, very well apportioned, and the thoughtfulness the owners have put into the property is evident in every detail. It is in a great location, one block from the beach, and just two blocks from the main downtown shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property.
