The Sunny View House is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, is very comfortable and within easy walking distance of Meeks Bay Resort and Marina, the best beach at Lake Tahoe.
Our home has been recently updated with new kitchen appliances, new carpet, a big screen TV, all new linens, new patio furniture, and a new 45,000 BTU gas grill. The upper level has a great room, with dining area and kitchen, and one of the two master bedrooms (each of the master bedrooms has a full bathroom). The great room features a big screen TV with satellite reception, a DVD/VCR player, a CD/AM/FM stereo, and a woodburning fireplace. The kitchen is fully-equipped with tableware to seat ten people.
The upper level deck is nearly 500 square feet, has new patio furniture and features a new gas gill. The lower level has three bedrooms (including the second master bedroom), two full bathrooms, and the utility room (washer/dryer). In additions to the second master bedroom, the lower level features a kid’s room with a bunkbed, a queen bed, and a TV for DVD/VCRs. The third lower level bedroom has a double bed and a daybed.
The Sunny View House is ideally located for taking full advantage of all that Tahoe has to offer. Walk to Meeks Bay Resort and Marina, the best beach at Lake Tahoe and where you will find everything for an enjoyable day at the beach, plus; ski boat, paddleboat and kayak rentals, a snack bar, and souvenir shop. For a little exercise and a family outing, ride your bike to any destination on the west shore using the west shore bike path, located less than quarter mile from the house, or hike from the Meeks Bay trailhead into the Desolation National Wilderness Area.

Why the Owner Chose Meeks Bay
I had been coming to the Meeks Bay area of Lake Tahoe since childhood and wanted to my wife and children to experience this magical place. In 1976 we purchased our lot and built the Sunny View House the following summer. Our family has been truly enriched during the times we have shared at Tahoe.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We try very hard to make sure our renters have a wonderful vacation while at Lake Tahoe. Upon your arrival you’ll find a sparkling clean house (thanks to Marni); a well stocked pantry including, olive oil, other vegetable oils, several different BBQ rubs and sauces, condiments and all the spices you’ll ever need; complete table ware for 10; quality beds and linens; and, yes a spectacular view. We continue to invest in up grading the Sunny View House; we care and it shows.
Best beach at Lake Tahoe. Boat launch, ski boat and kayak rentals, snack bar and souvenirs.

We have retired to Central Oregon after 25 years of working and raising a family in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our adult children and their families are able to use the Sunny View House occasionally. After a complete upgrading (all new appliances, new carpet and new beds and linen) we began renting it in 2006.

We had a great time at the Sunny View House. Your location was perfect for our family which seems to be always on the go. Our pre-teen and teenage children had lots of things to do that did not require us to drive. The teenagers walked back and forth to Meeks Bay and the younger ones make forts and played near the house. We arrived to find a very clean and comfortable house and so well equipped. We brought lots of stuff we never used because it's all there: beach towels, beach chairs, espresso machine (I'm addicted), coffee grinder, a fully stocked pantry (spices, sea salt, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc, etc) and of course all the basic condiments (BBQ sauces, mustards, mayo, etc, etc). We knew we wanted to be near Meeks Bay, and though we had lots of rentals to choose from, you guys have the best. Thank you.

We have stayed at other Vacation Rental homes and some are over hyped. Not the Sunny View House; very clean, very comfortable, everything we had hoped for and much more. We will be in touch soon to make a reservation for next year.

Our family, which includes my husband and me, our 3 children (ages 8, 12 and 14) and my parents, had a delightful time at the Sunny View House. The accommodations were perfect; private bedrooms with full bathrooms for the adults, and 2 bedrooms plus the 3rd bathroom for the kids. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tableware, spices, condiments and kitchen equipment we would ever need….And the perfect location, overlooking Meeks Bay and the entire south end of the Lake. We love the West Shore of Tahoe. It is not as busy as Tahoe City or the South Shore but only 15-20 minutes away if there is a need to drive to town. We had a great time at the Meeks Bay beach and because the 2 older kids could walk there, they had some freedom to set their own schedule. Thanks again and we’ll be back for sure! Hilary and Taylor
