The cabin was wonderful. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. It was beautiful, the nearby stream was gorgeous, the and hot tub was a treat. It is a great place to reconnect with family or read or any other quiet activity. The gravel road along the stream makes a great place for a long walk. It is about 30-35 minutes to the nearest town with a full-size grocery store and other comforts, so prepare for a good amount of driving if you need to leave the cabin for just about anything. It was perfect for us though and I would highly recommend it!

Cabin was clean and just like the photos described, the stream sounded so peaceful and the hot tub was relaxing. Owners were very helpful. Thanks Brad for taking care of the wi-fi problem so quickly...Thank you Ginger for the AMAZING peanut butter cookies my son & I loved them ( I would love your recipe) and fresh loaf of bread. I would definetly recommend this property to family and friends. Thank you for helping us make some special family memories.

A beautiful cabin in the woods, hiking the logging roads, exploring the streams, and just getting away from everything (the lack of cell service and distance to town helped with that a lot) made for a perfect vacation for us. We will certainly be back again.

My wife and I just spent our 30th anniversay there. The sound of the stream was just lovely and we felt relaxed an very pleased with the whole visit. Not at all related to the cabing but we went mostly to see nearby Joyce Kilmer Forest and were devastated by the death of the hemlocks. So terribly sad. We'd been there a dozen years before and the loss of all those 400 year old trees was most distressing. Back to the cabin, the owners were great, the place was perfect and spotless. Excellent communication, no exhorbitant cleaning fees. Since we were only there for two days and left the place clean it was nice not have to worry about the outrageous cleaning fees some owners hit you with. Close to lots of outdoor activities (but bring your own DVDs or CDs for entertainment). We very strongly recommend this property for anyone wanting some time away. Just great.

The cabin itself is well built, clean, light and airy. It looks and feels like a log cabin, lots of wood, but the kitchen and baths are modern and comfortable. I wouldn't describe it as a luxury type construction, no marble floors or chandeliers, but nice. Even a remote control gas fireplace! If you crave wood fires, there is a firepit. The cabin is on a hill above the creek, so you hear it more than see it. We visited in Feb so with no leaves we could see down to the creek, but with foliage I doubt you could. This place is very secluded quite a ways down little roads that eventually turn to gravel. The gravel road continues down a ways (makes a nice walk). There are other houses/cabins nearby, but not on top of this one. The remoteness would make it difficult to go out for dinner every night. We brought in groceries for the weekend and didn't start the car until we left. If you like to go out and shop or try local restaurants, this may not be the place for you. But for laying around reading or soaking in the hot tub looking up at the stars, this is as good as it gets. I fished in the creek some, but the weather was a little too cool for that. In the summer I believe the creek would be good for kids to tube. It's big enough to float on but not a raging river. My wife and I have been here twice, alone, and it makes an awesome couples weekend. But we intend to bring our kids and another family in the summer and enjoy the creek. The gravel road looks great for bicycles and the area around the cabin has a lot of exploration potential that we didn't touch. Summary: Great place to get away, but someone needs to cook meals. For cooking, reasonable pots/pans etc and every small utensil you can imagine (whisks, bottle openers, etc). Nice dishes. So you can prepare and have a nice meal not eating off plastic plates. The cabin is remote, but there are houses in view in winter (maybe 2?). In summer you are probably completely screened. I'm excited about bringing our 3 and 5 yr old. They will have fun in the creek and will be pumped by excursions up the gravel road and into the woods. This is not Gatlinburg go shop and visit the museum stuff, however. And I guess if you want big master baths with garden tubs the cabin may be under that. But we had every single thing we needed, including books to read. Don't forget charcoal for the grill. You may want a vehicle with a little clearance, 4 wheel drive isn't needed, but leave the Corvette.

We met two other couples there to enjoy a week together. I can't say enough good things! If you like to be away from civilization and enjoy the quiet around you--except for the sound of the beautiful stream, it is perfect. The cabin itself had everything we could need. The kitchen was great for cooking inside, and the grill by the back porch was large enough for all of us with chairs for all of us to sit and talk while we grilled. The cabin was cozy and so well done--with so many little personal touches. It was hard to decide whether to walk by the stream or sit on the deck and rock! We took Brad's advice and rented a pontoon on the lake--really fun. We also enjoyed Fontana Dam and the Cheola Skyway drive and walks. But, the best part of seeing the area was walking in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest--too amazing for words. Thanks Brad and Ginger for the homemade goodies and for all your help. I'd actually like to go back and explore more--sometimes we didn't want to leave the cabin! If you want a little larger place, their Lodge looks equally as beautiful and private. I can't think of anything that was missing from the cabin or the area or Brad and Ginger's help.

What a wonderful cabin. This would be the perfect cabin for getting away from it all. We enjoyed hiking in Joyce Kilmer Park. We loved the hot tub and just sitting on the porch listening to the stream. The cabin had everything we needed with big comfortable beds. Truly a place the whole family would enjoy. Christmas was made special with Ginger's seasonal decor. If visiting this cabin during the winter months we would recommend snow tires or chains. Thank you Brad and Ginger for a wonderful stay.

We had a real blast at Brad and Ginger's cabin. We had all of these big plans to do this and that, we did some things but we really found ourselves enjoying the peace and quiet and just plain ol' relaxing. This was our first experience staying in a cabin, we have always tent camped on most vacations. My wife is hooked on the whole cabin idea. I am too but don't tell my buddies. Brad and Ginger were awesome, great advice and cookies too. This cabin is secluded and quiet. We packed Snowboards, bikes, hiking boots, fishing gear. I did fish one day... ended up just sitting and watching the water rush by. This place is a little to relaxing! I'm kidding.. We had so much fun and really enjoyed our stay. I would totally stay here again and have told my family and friends about Brad and Ginger's cabin.

Tucked away in this private natural setting, we enjoyed sipping a glass of wine in the hot tub looking up into the trees, the sounds of nature and a stream all around us. The house was HUGE with two bedrooms on the first floor and an entirely separate bedroom suite on the second floor. When we weren't out hiking, fishing, photographing the mountains or enjoying our spacious front porch, we enjoyed sitting by our gas fireplace reading, or munching on one of Ginger's fabulous cookies. Go with friends or take the family...it's great! Thanks so much Brad and Ginger!
